As a nashville local these are some very fun things to do, but if you want to be more low key instead of all of the Broadway stuff, I recommend going to Percy Warner Park + Cheekwood (close to Belle Meade mansion). Percy Warner has various trails that have scenic overlooks, as well as biking trails. Cheekwood is an outdoor botanical garden/art exhibit all year round! Bicentennial park and The Tennessee State museum are also fun, and if you are near there you can get a tour of the Capitol Building. Also, an honorable mention is Opry Mills which is a massive development that serves as a mall, hotel, water park, and music area. It’s not really in nashville as it’s more north but still a great spot if you have the time :).

I'm unexpectedly having to fly into Nashville didn't realize I can't fly to cookville so I'll have several hours waiting on a greayhound I'm poor so deff can't spend money hopefully the greyhound is close enough to be able to explore a few places for a few hours 🤞 I deff wanna check it out I've never been there
Percy Warner park is definitely scenic hiking, but beware the parking lots. I had my car broken into there

I wouldn't do it.... I live in Nashville. I can honestly say this and probably speak the words of a lot of people's thoughts who are also from Nashville.
Just keep you and your life right where you are. Come visit and spend your money but go back home. Nashville is overrun by jackass's in pink cowboy hats. It's ridiculous!
I just got back from Nashville last week. So when I saw your video, my heart sank, I knew you would show all the great places I missed. :) Lucky for me, I did hit most of your recommendations.
You mentioned going to Jack Daniel's distillery on your next visit. I highly recommend visiting Uncle Nearest distillery too. It's in Shelbyville on the way to JD. Nearest Green is the man who taught Jack how to make whiskey.

There is also the National Museum of African American Music. Just to add Nashville is nicknamed Music City because of the Fisk Jubilee Singers of Fisk University.
Really great video, (as someone that spends his days on music row) the vibe of Nashville can be described as this “If you like Music, you will love Nashville”. That’s it. It’s not Country Music City…Nashville IS Music City, it’s what we make, it’s what we do
We are planning our family vacation to Nashville this year...both our boys say they are not into country music(even though they do like SOME country music), but they love music enough and there is SO much in Nashville, according to reports, that we know they are going to LOVE it!

@@danmalliard280 Nashville is such a friendly city. You could ask just about anyone for suggestions. Also there is a tour of some of Nashvilles highlights. It starts at the Country Music Hall of Fame. You get a tour of the city on a bus then you can go back and visit the places you want to see on your own

I love NASHVILLE. or maybe I'm just really into Music.. people dancing on the street, music everywhere, beer, foods, Herbs 😆,.. I was there in 2015 and loved it. Planning a second visit in 2024. My highlights were the hockey (Go Preds), armoury (from the UK so this was a different world) and an all year round Christmas bar!!

The second worst part about living in Nashville is having to compete with tourists for food lol, the worst is all the people that mistake the federal customs building for a church (on broadway I might add).

Fascinating watching this Ally because Nashville is somewhere I as a British resident really hear of in terms of tourism. I can't say live music is really a big draw for me this but city really does feel like a unique culture and vibe which is worth visiting at some point.

Nashville is the last stop on my road trip this summer, so thank you for including some off the beaten track places to visit. I’m only there for two full days, so I’ll see what I can pull off, but I definitely want to go to Printers Alley.

@@willowisp23 what I managed to see was fun. I’ll have to go back though for a full experience as the first day was cut short and the second day rained and then my car battery went so I spent the afternoon sorting that out and didn’t get to see all I wanted to. We left the next morning. Next time I’ll make sure I have at least four or five full days to see and experience everything including the nightlife. I also know where to stay now.

You mentioned the Gulch neighborhood but missed the Station Inn... the only place in Nashville that has original country music every night (bluegrass)! Thanks for the great video.

I'm a lifelong local in my 30s and loved working downtown. We go all the time for 5th and Broadway. We also have a TPAC season pass
I've been to Nashville twice from Ottawa Canada. I'd recommend Ernest Tubb's Record Shop, Gaylord Opryland hotel complex and take in a Predators Hockey Game.

Great video! I'm only in Nashville next month for a work conference but I will have one day to explore. Do any of these things stick out for being a must do? I'm not a huge country music fan, but I love history so the Belle Meade Plantation stood out to me. Also love the idea of the Bluebird Cafe, but I'll be by myself so not sure if that makes a difference.
I would maybe do the hop on hop off bus and a couple hours at Belle Meade, I liked the 12 south neighborhood if you like shopping, and I loved bluebird cafe - all would be fine for a solo traveler!
