  • The Jorvik Centre is a must-see attraction in York. A 'dark ride' through a Viking village which reminded us of Spaceship Earth in Disney's Epcot in some ways. You travel through the village that's filled with Viking animatronics going about their lives. We also spent the day wandering around York including the historic Shambles street which was an inspiration for Diagon Allley in the Harry Potter movies. It also included The Shop That Must Not Be Named which sold Harry Potter gifts. Historic York is full of narrow streets and churches including the York Minster Cathedral.
Take a look at our other travel content at:‪@OceanHops‬
    Here's the River Ouse.
    "Was ist ooze?"
    Let's show "was ist ooze".
    Very Diagon Alley
    It is very Diagon Alley
    Mix a potion
    for wizards of all ages.'
    Harry Potter!
'Phileas Fry. Born 26 October 1318.
Apothecary Proprietor, Master potions maker and believer magic, lived here.' Nine and three quarters
    Nutcracker Christmas Shop
The Shop That Must Not Be Named
Merchant Hall and The Hairy Fig.
The Mansion House is the first purpose-built mayoral residence in the country. Started in 1725
Constantine the Great. Near this place Constantine was proclaimed Roman Emperor in 306 His recognition of the civil liberties of his Christian subjects and his own conversion to the faith established the religious foundations of western Christendom
    Look! Minster Whippy.
So that was our trip in to York
and the Jorvik Centre. It was really good.
It was kind of like Spaceship Earth if you've been to Disney's Epcot.
takes you around the history of the Viking village.
And we just had a wander around York
Just taking some of the historic places...
    The Shambles. Good day.

Hi Erta. I think you left a comment on our latest video 'Crich Tramway' but it disappeared before I could read it! I think youtube may have not liked something in the comment? I apologise if you deleted it yourself!
