    I’m glad you talked about this amp because I was thinking about buying it to add to my Mm8077, I need more outputs. I have no way now to add Atmos speakers and I want to stay with what I own powered by the Marantz AV8805A. Good review

    I bought the Denon X4500H and Marantz MM7055 “pen box” for $2,000. I know they are close in performance like your situation you described with the Marantz AVR. But my thinking is that now my Denon will just focus on processing the 3 front soundstage speakers and the 2nd set of Atmos speakers and only have to power the 4 Surrounds and last 2 Atmos channels. Therefore relieving the Denon of some it’s duties. I think there’s benefits in that too. What do you think?

    Thanks very much for your review. That is a great review. I am currently using Denon X3600h AVR and Klipsch R7 III as front speakers, RP 504c centre speaker. For this setup, do you recommend this mm7055 or you think Anthem MCA 325 is better or Rotel 1555? I use it more for watching movies. Really appreciate for your answer.

      Glad I could help! Thats a tough one the Anthem and Rotel are also good brands. I think it will come down to what your hearing appreciated when they are connected. Component matching is everything.

      I have the marantz 7013 which is les s power then what you have...and i find it very powerful in 9 channel modes. With definitive tech towers and sub to the lfe channel and sub wired inline to the surround backs. With that said you would need a Emotiva xpa gen 3....300 watts per channel to se ea difference. The bas x is too low power and may sound weaker. The MM 7055 may sound like the receiver

    I have Marantz SR5015 and Mm7055. I upgraded to SR8015 it really sounds good without MM7055..... Should I upgrade my Amp to match SR8015 or would Mm7055 work?

      @MrElchav 2 месяца назад

      The SR8015 has the best preout of any current AV receiver so it will drive the MM7055 to output at full power!

    • @OldtradesReviews

      The basx a7 is 90 watts vs 140 for the Marantz. If your adding a few tiny satellites to the recover as height channels the A7 may be ok. If its for larger speakers the Marantz. A step up from the Marantz would be a emotiva xpa gen 3. I did a unboxing vid of it

      @@OldtradesReviews I have 9.1 setup, floor standing Polk monitor 70 series, center and bipolar Polk. Dali height, klispch back surround. Marantz is 5 channel and other brands 7 channels are expensive. Emotive 7 channel seems to fit the bill. Your thoughts

    • @OldtradesReviews
      @OldtradesReviews  2 года назад

      The 90 watts of emotiva is to weak. You will hook it up and not notice a difference in multichannel mode, because like I mentioned in the the video when I connected the Marantz amp to Marantz 7013. Listen to the Denon in 2 channel pure mode at 125 watts x 2, and decide if you want 90 watts of weaker sound. The polks have 4, 6.5 inch. My polk monitor 40 sounds like a different speaker with the Parasound amp 2125 v.2 150 watt x2, I reviewed. That would be great for the 70s and take some load off the receiver. th e 5 channel Marantz amp would connect to the fronts, center and what ever is the next largest speaker.

      Yes adding the 7055 to your 7015 receiver will take a load off the 7015 and run cooler ..I use the 7055 for my front 3 channels and run all my surrounds and atmos height speakers off my 7013 ..Sounds amazing!! I also bought the AC Infinity cooling fans for them both and the stay constantly cool now ☮️

    AV separates are better because each unit has its own power supply. A receiver shares its power supply between its internal pre-amp and power amp. This is really important when it comes to transients where the receiver may not be able to deliver the power needed. Very good review sir.

      The tech specs say max power consumption is 660W.
      5x140W = 700W... so I'm pretty sure not.
