My partner and I traveled up from Hobart to see them and the show did not disappoint! Wish there could've been a bigger crowd but at the same time how awesome to be a fan of a small enough artist that you can feasibly get so close to the front and see them in a relatively intimate venue like that. I hope they come back again to a larger crowd next time! I was also lucky enough to spot them checking in at the airport on the way to my own flight back home. Agree Youngeun is incredible on drums, so full of energy and never turns off. Hard to take your eyes off her
@@ch3rrycat hell yeah!!! Did you say hi to them at the airport? I get the feeling they’d be super friendly outside of the whole band thing. There’s no way in hell I was gonna pay $170 for a meet and greet though. That was a bit much. But stoked the show tickets were reasonably priced. I just wish they had brought their CDs to sell. You can’t buy them anywhere in Oz. You have to order online which gets costly. Stoked you made the trip over. Rock on!
@@TheLongGoneLoserRockShow We thought about whether to approach them or not but both us and them were trying to get through bag drop at the time, and they were a fair distance away, so we didn't. We did then agree they'd probably be stoked to see that fans had traveled just to see them, so we sat just after security and waited to see if they'd come through but we didn't see them again unfortunately! I didn't bother with the add-ons either, but was pretty happy to be able to do soundcheck (and all the benefits that came with it) for I think $129 :) Would have definitely liked to see them bring physical CDs over too, I would've bought them!
@@ch3rrycat I have a few of the CDs but still need to find the first 2. They have become so scarce these days and people charge stupid money for them. Pretty ridiculous. So I was hoping the band would have some for sale at normal prices. Sadly that wasn’t to be. If I didn’t have to play a gig myself this weekend I definitely would have flown up to Sydney to see them. Can’t wait to see them again.
First time for Rolling Quartz in Australia! I saw them in London in January and they were incredible, so much energy and a great mix of songs. I also saw Lovebites live in July, such incredible talent. Thanks for sharing.

I like that even though they weren’t playing to thousands, their enthusiasm never waned and they kicked so much ass like they were headlining Wembley. So awesome! I’m envious that you’ve seen Lovebites. Wish they’d tour here.

@@SteveTrockroll yeah I’ve been watching all the updates and it’s been wild seeing how they’re doing over there. If you can break the USA, you can make it elsewhere. The USA is the hardest market to crack. Fingers crossed they’ll play AUS. We are long overdue.
btw, you've set me another challenge - acquiring a Lovebites shirt like yours in a size that fits! (Japanese sizes tend to be rather small, even in the XL range.) I do have an LB polo, and trust I won't cause a diplomatic incident if I wear it to the RQ gig! I will of course buy a T from their merch.

Sydney show was brilliant! We didn't fill up the venue but it was pretty packed. Just a shame the promoter didn't do a very good job at advertising the band on their socials. I think they just announced the tour then went silent until they gave us info on times and stuff like that. I reckon they need to learn a thing or two from Destroy All Lines
@@BigBoges yay! I’m stoked the show went off for you. Wish I could have been there to see it. They have so much energy and they played Melbourne like they played to 20,000. I assume Sydney would have been the same. I agree that some more promotion would have done wonders for them. But they also need to get their music here. No CDs in any stores. No CDs at the merch desk. You can’t just rely on Spotify streams. Some of us actually like having a physical product. I hope they come back sooner than later.
Oh yeah they definitely brought a lot of energy! You could tell that they absolutely loved the support and crowd participation, which I'm sure was similar in Melbourne. In terms of energy and working the crowd, they are up there with bands like Parkway Drive and Trivium in my opinion. If you've ever seen them live you might agree with that
