@@IanPotts-lv6os I wonder if they will continue without Nicko? He’s been through a lot and has said he wants to retire. The guy’s in his 70s so wouldn’t surprise me if he decides to call it a day and enjoy his retirement just chillin’ at home. He’s had a good run.

@@vikingoverlord857 you’re right! As much as I love AC/DC, I wish they’d mix the set up a bit. I mean, sure, I love all the hits… but come on, Angus… give us Sink The Pink or Shake Your Foundations!!! Give us That’s The Way I Wanna Rock N Roll! Give us Let Me Put My Love Into You! I just wanna hear some deeper cuts that totally slay!!! I checked the setlist of their Power Up tour and while I love those songs, there’s nothing there that’s making me wanna throw $200 at it when it comes back to AUS (even though I probably will). And like you, that’s why I love Maiden. They mix it up. Give us the old and the new. Keep it interesting. It’s a solid show and that’s why I keep going back for more.

@@TheLongGoneLoserRockShow Totally. Maiden are awesome, they spice it up. Imagine hearing Nervous Shakedown, or Ride On, or Back in Business, or Kicked in the Teeth? They have so many songs that fans would love, it's so lame. (Don't tell Brian though, he gets a bit cranky when people mention lack of imagination with sets 😆)

@@ian_vincent we all start somewhere. My first time seeing them was in 2008! So I hear ya… I was also late to the party. But it’s always worth it and I tell my friends all the time that haven’t seen them that they should see them just once for the experience. Senjetsu is far from my fave Maiden album but hearing the songs played live gave me a whole new appreciation for the album.

@@benstephenson8993 yeah man, thinking of a world without Maiden is so crazy. I am just thankful we live in this era where we have this chance of seeing bands like this. Cos remember, one day it will all be over for us so the short time we have here, see all the bands you want to see, do all the things you want to do, travel to all the places you want to go… cos as long as it isn’t hurting anyone else, live your life however you choose. Seeing Maiden in 4 continents is pretty darn awesome and you’re doing just that. Rock on!

@@igaelvahgelt9890 I do like Killswitch but I was seeing Rolling Quartz at Crown. Thankfully they finished at 8:30 and Rod laver isn’t that far from Crown so I got there in like 10 minutes. Gotta love early gigs!

@@craigsibson6541 there’s so much they could do for a 50th anniversary tour. But also, what would they be able to pull off? If they did a greatest hits package, that’s a lot more than 2 hours of music if they were to even just play the singles. Hahaha I am eagerly awaiting the news.

Great review and take. Incredible band and those new songs worked perfect. Also a great set by you sat, hadn't seen you guys for ages. My band played earlier upstairs, I was going to have a chat but pushed for time as I went to Maidens sat show. Born Against 💥🔥

I like that even though they weren’t playing to thousands, their enthusiasm never waned and they kicked so much ass like they were headlining Wembley. So awesome! I’m envious that you’ve seen Lovebites. Wish they’d tour here.

@@SteveTrockroll yeah I’ve been watching all the updates and it’s been wild seeing how they’re doing over there. If you can break the USA, you can make it elsewhere. The USA is the hardest market to crack. Fingers crossed they’ll play AUS. We are long overdue.

@@ch3rrycat hell yeah!!! Did you say hi to them at the airport? I get the feeling they’d be super friendly outside of the whole band thing. There’s no way in hell I was gonna pay $170 for a meet and greet though. That was a bit much. But stoked the show tickets were reasonably priced. I just wish they had brought their CDs to sell. You can’t buy them anywhere in Oz. You have to order online which gets costly. Stoked you made the trip over. Rock on!

@@TheLongGoneLoserRockShow We thought about whether to approach them or not but both us and them were trying to get through bag drop at the time, and they were a fair distance away, so we didn't. We did then agree they'd probably be stoked to see that fans had traveled just to see them, so we sat just after security and waited to see if they'd come through but we didn't see them again unfortunately! I didn't bother with the add-ons either, but was pretty happy to be able to do soundcheck (and all the benefits that came with it) for I think $129 :) Would have definitely liked to see them bring physical CDs over too, I would've bought them!

@@ch3rrycat I have a few of the CDs but still need to find the first 2. They have become so scarce these days and people charge stupid money for them. Pretty ridiculous. So I was hoping the band would have some for sale at normal prices. Sadly that wasn’t to be. If I didn’t have to play a gig myself this weekend I definitely would have flown up to Sydney to see them. Can’t wait to see them again.

@@BigBoges yay! I’m stoked the show went off for you. Wish I could have been there to see it. They have so much energy and they played Melbourne like they played to 20,000. I assume Sydney would have been the same. I agree that some more promotion would have done wonders for them. But they also need to get their music here. No CDs in any stores. No CDs at the merch desk. You can’t just rely on Spotify streams. Some of us actually like having a physical product. I hope they come back sooner than later.

Oh yeah they definitely brought a lot of energy! You could tell that they absolutely loved the support and crowd participation, which I'm sure was similar in Melbourne. In terms of energy and working the crowd, they are up there with bands like Parkway Drive and Trivium in my opinion. If you've ever seen them live you might agree with that

@@MaidFrenzy great to hear from another Aussie! Amazing you got to see AC/DC at a school! Damn, first time I saw them was in 88! But Band-Maid, what a band! I just wish someone would bring them out here. I can only guess that their management doesn’t want them playing small bars / clubs here cos they’re playing huge shows over there and probably making way more than they would by touring small clubs in AUS. The business side of the music industry has never really been about what the fans want though. So we just gotta wait and hope things happen for them here and then a tour to happen. Fingers are crossed.

They've done a few tours of the U.S. an in smaller venues there ... one was even in (what looked like) a shopping centre. btw, you've set me another challenge - acquiring a Lovebites shirt like yours in a size that fits! (Japanese sizes tend to be rather small, even in the XL range.) I do have an LB polo, and trust I won't cause a diplomatic incident if I wear it to the RQ gig! I will of course buy a T from their merch.

@@mr.sweetheart7507 for live, my pedal board has a BOSS EQ for boost, a Dookie Driver for distortion, and a Polytune tuner. That’s all I need for the Mosrite. When I use the Flying V, I use only the BOSS EQ cos the V doesn’t need any pedals cos the pick ups in it sound freakin’ awesome and have a lot of guts. For strings, I use the same as Johnny Ramone used 9-42.

@@hitokiriizo I didn’t know about that issue with Mary’s Blood. That’s a shame cos they really were something else. I wonder if the issue is that she just doesn’t want to play songs that are written for her and wants to take control and write and play her own songs? I can totally understand if that’s the reason. I mean, playing other people’s songs might be good financially but an artist is an artist for a reason and I feel Saki is a songwriter as well as an incredible musician. Possibly why she went solo and parted ways with management? Maybe she just got tired of the higher ups having so much control over the band(s). It’s a shame that the music industry in Japan is really into doing that. It makes it seem more about a product than a band. That the band members are just employees of a much bigger corporation. Either way, whatever she chooses to do either now or in the future, she’s gonna have a huge career ahead of her. She has insane amounts of talent. She will do well in anything she applies herself to.
