@@scottmoyer3854 how about the fact that BBM gets ostracized for preaching RPE but Starting Strength coaches use RPE but RIP calls it "coaching malpractice" to do so?
Jordan, ever consider doing challenges like "if we get 5,000 thumbs up, I'll pick a comment and send out a t-shirt"? Just thought it might help get more activity. As Always, keep up the great work!
Hey J, amazing information as always. I do have a question tho and it’s one of those questions where you guys have taught me so much about well really everything, so I guess I’m looking for validation more than anything else. I ran the press template and now am running the strength template currently on week 4. As Austin told me a couple years back on a live QnA I’m gonna be swarmed with people at the gym once the 4th plate goes on the bar. This happened at 3 plates and significantly increased when the 4th plate went on the bar and now I’ve coached about 30 people throughout the entirety of the LP some went onto the bridge others GPP endurance and Hypertrophy phases. That being said I spend more time coaching (mostly for free, only two paying clients at the moment) and less time lifting because I also work a full time job as a banker. I’ve been doing my supplemental lifts on a day 5 for days I don’t get to finish my third lift. Still doing both GPP days and I’m slightly overweight at 6”0 230 lbs with a whopping 40” waist. Can this organization in any way result in a negative outcome or slow more potential gains having trained this way for the past 6 months, given the circumstances (I can’t say no to coaching when asked) with less rest days. I guess what I’m really asking is will it make my RPE higher considering I’m training more days than prescribed as opposed to in less days with more densely timed training sessions? Are there significant benefits to limiting training to 4 days, GPP 2 days, as opposed to 5 days training, GPP 2 days eventhough I’m finally seemingly adapting to the frequency of activity?
Would the common idea of doing face pulls as a counter to lots of pressing volume be considered non-specific mobility? Or is it something else entirely?
Are you saying that muscles cant get tighter and shorter with postural habits and that, that doesnt over time make it harder to go into curtain positions that need those same muscles to be fully stretched. not the best constructed question but i think you can get what im aiming at.
Do u think squating to reach objects from the floor and deadlifting to pick up things from Day to day activities such a work or house cleaning carry over to the big lifts ?
They don't say it's "useless," they say there's no real benefit unless one is addressing a specific condition. If you've no specific issue or condition (aka: you can already move through the range of motion you are about to perform), then there is no measurable benefit to it.
He didn't say it is useless, all he said was that it is not helpful if you are trying to improve some aspect of your fitness or some sport, which is not directly related to being more flexible. For instance baing able to do a side split may not be useful for your squat or dead, but it can be useful for gymnastics, yoga, etc. Just be specific with your "mobility".
poof poof Looking through or down lengthens the levator scapulae which makes it easier to maintain thoracic extension and stay tight in the upper back. Chinese teach catching weights overhead this way too.
I petition for alan's dance to be the official intro to all BBM training vlogs
I second that

It was pretty good!
Allen dancing fixed my squat!!
Best notifications on RUclips, new BBM content
Alister Hill haha agreed!
Totally. Its like christmas every time I get one.
Best training-related videos on YT. I am constantly weighing everyone else's information against BBM's.
Getting my fix while in the gym. Love it 🏋️♂️
Is it wrong that I now want an Alan Thrall dance channel? ;)
Digging the background music and content.
Will you ever get the neon sign fixed Jordan? :o

Just trying to help the algorithm...
Sebastian me too!
We should argue about something trivial
Sven M what about something controversial? 3-0-3 tempo squats?

@@RooneyBerbatov1 that's not controversial, that's just torture.
That intro... untamed dad dance FTW
best intro ever
Love the outro song!
That's a majestic intro (although until the music transition).
Caner ERBAY I thought it was pretty smooth.
Barbell Medicine oh no the transition itself was smooth. I just thought the majesty suffered a little after it.
What

Alan's got some skillz.

Some years ago I dubbed "touch n go" deadlifts as livelifts...Go me...Hoist on!
!!!!!!

The Wonkyone from sitting? Nope
So when would you program in Zercher Squats?
reignator for a strongman competitor or someone who couldn’t squat any other way , perhaps
Hey Jordan, just a quick question. Would you say heels is better than no shoes? Or does it not matter? Thanks.
Regulate sounds like jazz at 2x speed.
Well...I guess I should stop changing shoes mid workout now...Hahahahah. Oops.
Bonus Alan Thrall dancing to disco.
What is your take on efficacy of triphasic training?
Do u think squating to reach objects from the floor and deadlifting to pick up things from Day to day activities such a work or house cleaning carry over to the big lifts ?
lightn1ng89 no
Dubstep Beegees? Sign me up lol
I sent some video in as you changed email addresses. Should I resend it to the new one or did you deem it not worth reviewing?
if static stretching is useless, does that mean a big portion of physiotherapy theory is false or not scientifically sound?
Justin C alot of the research is pointing towards eccentric loading aiding more to cellular change in muscles rather than static stretching.

Just be specific with your "mobility".
Nice intro 👍
Jordan could you elaborate on the "bad posture is like smoking cigarretes" topic? Does bad posture not affect longevity?
Barkotek not at all. It’s wholly made up bullshittery
Looool thanks doc, it's scary how many things I need to un-learn
Was Austin putting 10s on to curl that bar in the rack during your bench?
Just elbow things
time stamps would be great
did someone say algorithm?
Austin looking jacked af
Getting at Jason Blaha on the Deadlift portion ?
INSTA-LIKE COMING!
Why do you teach beginners to look down in the squat, I feel like it’s easier to maintain thoracic extension while look straight ahead
poof poof Looking through or down lengthens the levator scapulae which makes it easier to maintain thoracic extension and stay tight in the upper back. Chinese teach catching weights overhead this way too.
dat dont make sense maneeee
Casually Rows 405 for fahve....looked like RPE 9?
RIR. Rows in Reserve.......one
Algorithm @rpe 10
Really disappointed that this video wasn't about lifting in HIGH heels...
Just add 90 pounds.
how about pulling in high heels ??!?!?!?!?!?
according to Jordan, most things are fine if they can get you a date
I want you to know that every time I see you do high bar squat my eyes bleed
Ramiro Lopez your girlfriend doesn’t mind.
Barbell Medicine lol
Do let us know how much you low bar in Chuck Taylors for three sets of faaahve after snorting ammonia.
Honestly, I'm starting to get irritated by Allan's 'hair and mane'.
