    Hey J, amazing information as always. I do have a question tho and it’s one of those questions where you guys have taught me so much about well really everything, so I guess I’m looking for validation more than anything else. I ran the press template and now am running the strength template currently on week 4. As Austin told me a couple years back on a live QnA I’m gonna be swarmed with people at the gym once the 4th plate goes on the bar. This happened at 3 plates and significantly increased when the 4th plate went on the bar and now I’ve coached about 30 people throughout the entirety of the LP some went onto the bridge others GPP endurance and Hypertrophy phases. That being said I spend more time coaching (mostly for free, only two paying clients at the moment) and less time lifting because I also work a full time job as a banker. I’ve been doing my supplemental lifts on a day 5 for days I don’t get to finish my third lift. Still doing both GPP days and I’m slightly overweight at 6”0 230 lbs with a whopping 40” waist. Can this organization in any way result in a negative outcome or slow more potential gains having trained this way for the past 6 months, given the circumstances (I can’t say no to coaching when asked) with less rest days. I guess what I’m really asking is will it make my RPE higher considering I’m training more days than prescribed as opposed to in less days with more densely timed training sessions? Are there significant benefits to limiting training to 4 days, GPP 2 days, as opposed to 5 days training, GPP 2 days eventhough I’m finally seemingly adapting to the frequency of activity?

    Are you saying that muscles cant get tighter and shorter with postural habits and that, that doesnt over time make it harder to go into curtain positions that need those same muscles to be fully stretched. not the best constructed question but i think you can get what im aiming at.

    if static stretching is useless, does that mean a big portion of physiotherapy theory is false or not scientifically sound?

    • @Jonaldo86
      @Jonaldo86 6 лет назад +2

      Justin C alot of the research is pointing towards eccentric loading aiding more to cellular change in muscles rather than static stretching.

    • @joshjohnston7388
      @joshjohnston7388 6 лет назад +5

      They don't say it's "useless," they say there's no real benefit unless one is addressing a specific condition. If you've no specific issue or condition (aka: you can already move through the range of motion you are about to perform), then there is no measurable benefit to it.

    • @tashakamikarkori
      @tashakamikarkori 5 лет назад

      He didn't say it is useless, all he said was that it is not helpful if you are trying to improve some aspect of your fitness or some sport, which is not directly related to being more flexible. For instance baing able to do a side split may not be useful for your squat or dead, but it can be useful for gymnastics, yoga, etc.
      Just be specific with your "mobility".

    Why do you teach beginners to look down in the squat, I feel like it’s easier to maintain thoracic extension while look straight ahead

    • @maxwellhoffman7436
      @maxwellhoffman7436 6 лет назад

      poof poof Looking through or down lengthens the levator scapulae which makes it easier to maintain thoracic extension and stay tight in the upper back. Chinese teach catching weights overhead this way too.
