Two of the best composers paired with two amazing vocalists. They were hitting all the notes without auto tune and pitch control.

ABBA was really a very talented and versatile swedish group that recording between 1972/1982
    (and now comeback in 2021)
    and leads in 70s decade:
    two excellent musicians songwriters
    (guitarist Björn & pianist Benny)
    two top female singers
    (blonde Agnetha & brunette Frida)
(before ABBA they each had her solo career in Sweden)
remember that ABBA is an acronim with initials of your first names, and was two couples from 1969:
    Agnetha & Björn; Benny & A.Frida
Agnetha & Björn split at end 1978
Benny & Frida split at begin of 1981
"Gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnight)" is a song influenced by American disco, after the success of the Bee Gees and the movie 'Saturday night fever" from the year before
In this song you can see part of the volume and range of voice that the blonde Agnetha has
ABBA was preparing their 1979 Tour of America and Europe, in the previous one , They recorded this song and filmed the video
This is the only video in which all ABBA is seen in the recording studio,
including staff musicians (bass guitarist and drummer) and sound engineer Michel Tretow at the controls, creator of the well-known 'ABBA sound' with his innovative 'wall of sound' multiplication technique (an adaptation of the works of Phill Spector)
The official vídeo is a short versión, the recording of the single is more than 4 1/2 minutes (with a solo instrumental)
The introduction and the instrumental ending, that characteristic sound of Benny's keyboards, is what Madonna used for her well-known hit "Hung Up" (with the permission of the composers Björn and Benny, granting them share the credits)
Surely for the latter, with 300 million views, this is the second official ABBA video with the most views on RUclips (behind "Dancing Queen", which has 600 million views)
For a new reaction I suggest:
Fernando (1976) or Super Trouper (1980) with the brunette Frida as lead singer, so You can listen the other voices of ABBA
Thank you again for these video
See you in the next ; GOD bless you
    My best regards from
    Buenos Aires , Argentina

    Sweet.
Disco/Dance ABBA always gets people moving.
Voulez Vous, Summer night city, Lay all your love on me, Kisses of fire are all great ABBA dance tracks you could react to or how about some early cute ABBA like Ring ring or Honey, honey, Bangaboomerang, I've been waiting for you, when I kissed the teacher and so long>
    So many choices. 🤩

One of their best. You're so right, the harmonies between the girls is phenomenal. I had a massive crush on Agnetha, the blonde one when I was growing up in the early 80s :)

A very striking reaction 🎳! I see 👁👁 that you have reacted to ABBA before: Dancing Queen, Happy New Year, Does Your Mother Know, The Name Of The Game and SOS. Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! was released as the lead single from ABBA's 1979 album: Greatest Hits Vol 2. It was written and produced by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. Agnetha Fältskog on lead vocals. The song reached #1 in Switzerland, France, Ireland, Belgium and Finland, while peaking in the Top 3 in the Uk, Austria, West Germany, Netherlands and Norway. The single didn't chart in the US as it was a promo single and ineligible for the music charts. The music video was directed by Lasse Hallström and uses the radio version of the song not the album version.
Agnetha Fältskog, as the narrator, weaves the image of a lonely woman who longs for a romantic relationship and views her loneliness as a forbidding darkness of night, even drawing parallels to how the happy endings of movie stars are so different from her existence. The melody line of the song was played on an ARP Odyssey synthesizer. This was arguably ABBA's most influential track as its emphasis on electronics made it a very important record for Techno musicians in the post-Disco era.
Originally, ABBA had recorded another song: "Rubber Ball Man", which was planned as a single. It featured the typical "ABBA-arrangement" with both Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad on lead vocals and the use of classical strings. However, the group felt that the song: "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)", with its Disco sound, would be a better choice, and thus the song: "Rubber Ball Man", remained nothing more than a demo tape song.
The single version of the song, which was released in its full length of 4:48 everywhere else in the world, was released in the United States and Canada in an edited format, being just 3:36 in length. This was done by removing the first half of the opening instrumental, the first four of the eight bars of the instrumental bridge between the second and final chorus, and fading the song out early. It is believed the edit was done by Atlantic Records, ABBA's North American record label and not Polar Records, hence the reason why the edited song version was available only in the United States and Canada. The edited single version has never appeared on any commercial CD issued by Polar/Universal to date and along with the US promo edit of the single: "Chiquitita", it marked the only time Atlantic Records ever commercially released an edited version of an ABBA single while they had the North American rights to release ABBA recordings.
As of September 2021, it is ABBA's tenth-biggest song in the UK, including both pure sales and digital streams.
The song has been covered many other artists including 📻: Erasure, Frankie Kao, Yngwie Malmsteen, A-Teens, Edurne, Cher, Judith Nijland, Caravelli, Amanda Seyfried, Shana Vanguarde, HÄWK, Ninel Conde, Sawa Kobayashi, James Last and more.
    Lyrics 🗒:
    Half past twelve
And I'm watchin' the late show in my flat, all alone
How I hate to spend the evening on my own
    Autumn winds
Blowin' outside the window as I look around the room
And it makes me so depressed to see the gloom
There's not a soul out there
No one to hear my prayer
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase these shadows away?
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day
    Movie stars
Find the end of the rainbow with a fortune to win
It's so different from the world I'm living in
    Tired of TV
I open the window and I gaze into the night
But there's nothing there to see, no one in sight
There's not a soul out there
No one to hear my prayer
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase these shadows away?
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
There's not a soul out there
No one to hear my prayer
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase these shadows away?
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase these shadows away?
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day
    ABBA Info 📰:
ABBA are a Swedish Pop supergroup formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group's name is an acronym of the first letters of their first names arranged as a palindrome: Agnetha, Björn, Benny, Anni-Frid. The group members of ABBA were married as follows: Agnetha Fältskog and Björn Ulvaeus from 1971 to 1979, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid "Frida" Lyngstad from 1978 to 1981. They are one of the most popular and successful musical groups of all time, and are one of the best-selling music acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1982, and in 2022. In 1977 ABBA: The Movie, was produced. It is a mockumentary comedy-drama film about ABBA's Australian tour. An international co-production from Sweden and Australia, the film was directed by Lasse Hallström, who helmed most of the band's videos.
The discography of Swedish Pop music group ABBA consists of nine studio albums, two live albums, seven compilation albums, four box sets, five video albums, 50 singles, and 43 music videos. To date, ABBA has sold 150 million records worldwide becoming one of the best-selling music artists in history. They have scored 9 No. 1 singles and 10 No. 1 albums in the UK, becoming the most successful Swedish act of all time on the Official Charts. ABBA are among the best-selling music artists in history, with record sales estimated to be between 150 million to 385 million sold worldwide and the group were ranked 3rd best-selling singles artists in the United Kingdom with a total of 11.3 million singles sold by November 3, 2012.
In 1974, ABBA were Sweden's first winner of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song: "Waterloo", which in 2005 was chosen as the best song in the competition's history as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the contest. The band members were married. With the increase of their popularity, their personal lives suffered, which eventually resulted in the collapse of both marriages. The relationship changes were reflected in the group's music, with later compositions featuring darker and more introspective lyrics. After ABBA disbanded in December 1982, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus continued their success writing music for multiple audiences including stage, musicals and movies, while Agnetha Fältskog and Björn Lyngstad pursued solo careers releasing several albums.
Ten years after the group broke up, a compilation album: ABBA Gold, was released becoming a worldwide best-seller. In 1999, ABBA's music was adapted into the stage play: Mamma Mia!, that toured worldwide and, as of April 2022, is still in the top-ten longest running productions on both Broadway (closed in 2015) and the West End (still running). A film of the same name: Mamma Mia!, released in 2008, became the highest-grossing film in the United Kingdom that year. A film sequel: Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, was released in 2018.
On March 15, 2010, ABBA were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Bee Gees members Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb. The ceremony was held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The group were represented by Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Benny Andersson.
In 2016, the group reunited and started working on a digital avatar concert tour. Newly recorded songs were announced in 2018. The group's album: Voyage, their first new album in 40 years, was released on 5 November 2021 to positive critical reviews and strong sales in numerous countries. ABBA Voyage, a concert residency featuring ABBA as virtual avatars, opened in May 2022 in London.
ABBA still performs their music live on stage in 2024.
    Legacy 🛡:
In May 2023 ABBA were awarded the BRIT Billion Award which celebrates those who have surpassed the milestone of one billion UK streams in their career.
ABBA were the first group from a non-English-speaking country to achieve consistent success in the charts of English-speaking countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, United States, Republic of Ireland, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa.
They are the best-selling Swedish band of all time and the best-selling band originating in continental Europe.
ABBA had eight consecutive number-one albums in the UK.
The group also enjoyed significant success in Latin America and recorded a collection of their hit songs in Spanish.
ABBA were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2002.
The group were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010, the first recording artists to receive this honor from outside an Anglophonic country.
In 2015, their song "Dancing Queen" was inducted into the Recording Academy's Grammy Hall of Fame.

Fun Fact 🕵‍♀: Madonna's 2005 song: "Hung Up", is based on Abba's 1979 song: "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man By Midnight)", and Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson are included in its songwriting credits. The only previous time ABBA had allowed one of their songs to be sampled was in 1996 when they allowed the Fugees to sample the bass and synthesizer of their 1977 song: "The Name Of The Game", for their 1996 song: "Rumble In The Jungle". Madonna begged the ABBA songwriters for permission to sample this song and sent an emissary to Stockholm, Sweden telling them how much she liked their music before they agreed to let Madonna sample their song.
