I grew up with all the fabulous music from the 60's - 80's. ABBA was one of my favorites. They had lots of hits & I owned many of their albums. I can't think of a bad song by them. Some of their best are "Thank You For The Music", "Does Your Mother Know?", "Waterloo", "Money, Money, Money", "The Name Of The Game", "Super Trouper", "I Have A Dream", "Voulez-Vous", "Fernando", "Chiquitita", "Mamma Mia", "SOS", "Knowing Me, Knowing You" etc.

ABBA is actually their initials (Agneta, Bjørn, benny and ann frida).
Agneta and Bjørn were married, Benny and Frida were married.
Agneta the blonde and Bjørn the guitarist got divorced before or during the recording of "The Winner takes it all"
I can recommend watching the video, it's about the breakup, notice that they don't make eye contact and Bjørn makes a grimace in the middle of the song.

Those yellow headphones used by B and B in the video are easily recognized as some of the best studio headphones ever made, with the complete tech staff of some radio networks using no other model for decades. I don't know the shiny model worn by the ladies.
Pretty sure the guys' headphones are the Sennheiser HD 414s that I had back in the 70s. Great cans.
James Hetfield has said in an interview, that as a family the Hetfields love listening to and singing ABBA together while in the car from time to time.

is a song influenced by American disco, after the success of the Bee Gees and the movie 'Saturday night fever" from the year before
In this song you can see part of the volume and range of voice that the blonde singer Agnetha has
ABBA was preparing their 1979 Tour of America and Europe, in the previous one , They recorded this song and filmed the official video
These is an official video in which all ABBA is seen in the recording studio,
including staff musicians (bass, guitarist and drummer) and sound engineer Michel Tretow at the controls, creator of the well-known 'ABBA sound' with his innovative 'wall of sound' multiplication technique (an adaptation of the works of Phill Spector)
These is a short versión, the recording of the single is more than 4 1/2 minutes (with a solo instrumental)
But in last months ABBA did a new official lyric video of "Gimme gimme gimme" full versión
The introduction and the instrumental ending,
that characteristic sound of Benny's keyboards,

when it was released it was #3 in the UK, it wasn't even released in the US
now also a centerpiece at the new ABBA Voyage concerts in London
Another interesting date is that these is one of songs tgat ABBA recorded in spanish:
"Dame Dame Dame" (1980) and ABBA performed it in an interview to Spanish TV

Save yourself a little trouble, just grab ABBA GOLD the videos, Madonna asked for and got permission to sample a bit of this song for her hit "Hung Up", over the years I still can't get an accurate number of albums they actually sold, I've heard figures as high as 600 million which I kind of believe which puts them right behind The Beatles and Elvis for total sales, I have never heard of a bad ABBA song, it isn't even a little possible.
