Great videos guys! 🙂 Going back to 40's will put less stress on everything. 160lbs is alot of rotational weight to save, I bet it accelerates and brakes a bit better now.
17:47 “she squirt in the dirt” 🤣 This is some COOL testing to watch! I can’t imagine what it would be like to drive in a race like KOH! Good luck to y’all, much love from Texas!
Thank you for sharing. That was a lot of fun. Can't wait to see more. Also thank you for the Blue Fun Haver sticker for our Overland Camper Build. Mark (& Teresa) - [Jason - Marci's friends 🤫] • Maryland •
14 secs in. That's my silver jeep in the background. I couldn't believe how fast you hammered it up that trail. My buddy @katethejeep filmed his overland rig up chocolate thunder that day. Awesome day in Johnson Valley.
Years back when we went from 35"s to 37"we all killed parts especially the brakes M300 spindles broke 40 spline axels literally destroyed themselves and things that moved had to be addressed. Do you guys run any type of viscous coupler in the front half? your very smart going back to the '40s.
@@VaughnGittinJr OK, well you could build one the design is simple but it is really just a patch to defer load, so before I get into some of my past experiences similar to yourself there is one thing you can address now that could make a huge difference [I am not trying to be know it all I just have a background in off-road racing from years past.] Go back and watch your video your rebound control on the “high-speed side” it is too tight through those whoops Your tires are “skipping off the top” when they should be following the ground not only would you be faster but you would not be beating on your driveline like a jackhammer, transfer case R&P, bearings. The question is one of two, the initial spring rate is too soft and won’t let the tires drop fast enough “MS response is too slow” the initial primary spring combined rate is [under 200lbs]? Hopefully, the easy one is if you have a short bypass tube you can open up for the last 6-8 inches if you don’t you could go into the coil over and put a spacer in the middle of the rebound stack to get it to release faster you not off much but enough at your level, the reason I like the coil-over is it won’t affect your overall tune very much, of course, there are other ways to accomplish this but a field patch option? I know it feels fast but I bet it feels kinda loose and you’re having to drive it. I also have a simple transfer case in-house fix experience we went through you could consider the atlas will never survive.
Interesting that you are running an Atlas Race case and not a Hero 3 speed with how much bigger the components are inside. That thing books in the dirt though, 100+ over those whoops?!?!
Hey Vaughn . Can I post my go fund me in your comments please? My best friend and dog Elsa has glaucoma and needs surgeries on her eyes and I can’t afford treatment anymore. I’m desperate for help. Please respond with a answer. I don’t want to disrespectful by just posting it.. thank you
I used to obsess over trophy trucks but ever since I found out about Ultra4's last year its my new dream to drive one
You got to get Ol Cleeter out to KOH next year. Put him in a 4600 car.
These guys surrounded with dream vehicles and equipment. The stripped down U4 with the just Bronco name badge looks so badass.
Love these behind the scenes!!!

Great video! It was fascinating to watch your team push the envelope and share the results. Have fun and good luck Saturday!
Such a great attitude, the cross over of all motorsports is so good.

That thing rips! Cool video!
Great Race. Well done on the whole team
6:15 SHOCKED
Can every video just be of the trucks from now on?! Easily the coolest and innovative styling in a while!

We do not we have not found one that will hold up.

I wish there was a new off road racing game. The last game I played with baja style stuff was "Baja Edge of Control" on xbox 360
You should try BeamNg.
@@TheWisdom3 I do have beamng, its very unforgiving lol
Love it!
I wonder if they run steel skid plates for the protection or aluminum for the weight saving
Steel
@@VaughnGittinJr Cool thanks for answering! Figures tho, it is the Hammers
awesome!
how much up-travel and down-travel?

I grew up here. In a vw. And I crawled it all, before internet.
Hey nice video mom hope you guys win Charlie Western PA
Are the portals producing excessive shock load when bouncing?
They should actually have less .
That’s a bad mamma jamma
RIP. Jessie combs
So which part is from a Ford Bronco?
Who makes those mirrors?
Fun haver
If there is something that will break Vaughan will find it
This is your year
Let it eat .
Thanks for sharing............. Signed, Your Moms Fierro.
Good luck at KOH 2022. Hope I don't see you on the DNF list.
Just mix some saw dust and some oatmeal together throw it in the locker... "Looks good to me"
🤘🥶🤯
that thing is about as much bronco as my jeep is......lol
Sounds like Vaughn needs to clear his throat
Ееееее 🤘
Not much of a Bronco though. Ultra 4 chassis? portal axles?
First

Hire me
there is nothing Bronco about that buggy. It might be powered by a Ford engine....at least it better be.
