    This is just what I needed to hear. I'm going to be 80 next year and my daughter who I live with was saying (VERY nicely) that I should stretch more, so this is EXACTLY what I should be doing... I'm so glad I came across this. . .

      @Patricia Be careful with stretching. I pulled a muscle. I'm 63 yrs young. I still try to stretch but I now know my limit.

    Wow, thank you. Im only 32, yesterday I was shoveling something pinched down where my butt meets my hamstring and i havent been able to move without immense pain. This has offered me much relief. Thank you sir

      Check into the piriformis and piriformis syndrome, though it could be something else kind of similar like a different pinched nerve or something with the SI joint.

    Ty. Wish I had this when caring for my Mom. I would have to back up flat against the wall until spasms stopped. Would take my breath away. Whew. God healed me after Mom transitioned.

    Thank you so much! You’re a life saver! I pulled my lower back this morning, and it’s been hurting all day, and doing this relieved some of the pain, and I’m actually able to stand up straight and not bent over!

    I have 2 herniated discs I injured 3 years ago. 9 months of physical therapy and I’ve been great for the most part for a couple of years. Just had my first spasm in over a year and barely did anything. This is great! Like a mobile inversion table! Thank you!

      Amazing exercise to alleviate back pain and bulging disc. As opposed to trying to lay face down on the floor, and push up with your hands- sometimes it’s painful to get on the floor and lay flat face down
      Hence this exercise works better for some of us- thank you

    This worked great, took away most of the pain - But if I sit down for a while and then stand up, that pain is there again, and I have to do the exercise again. Thank you so much Doc :)

    I’ve been waking up with back pain every morning for the last 2 years. This stretch is quick and effective. As someone who doesn’t have a lot of time to do routine 30 minutes stretch, this appears to work even better. I tired this for the first time and it definitely relieved majority of the pressure. I will be doing this every morning. Thank you for sharing 🙏🏽

    I should really be a physical therapist because I do so much self stretching and exercises I see videos of the same thing.
    I just do what feels right to me.
    If you know your body then you know what to do to make yourself feel good.

      Tell your boyfriend or small brother to climb on your back while your are laying on the ground nothing beats it and don't take too much weight on your back

      If you have a pull up bar you can do this same thing by hanging from the bar, while letting your lower back slowly fall. You can do it with your feet on the ground or all the way up to a full hang.
      Some people use inversion tables/chairs as well.

      I recently hurt my lower back, the lumbar section, and I was doing physical therapy because it's work-related but they're slacking on giving me more physical therapy so I do my own.
      Heating pads help but then also stretch but don't do it too fast.

    SOUNDS WHAT I NEED TO DO TO TAKE AWAY MY BACK PAIN, FEELS LIKE PRESSURE AND PAIN WITH MOVEMENTS WHEN I WALK, VERY PAINFUL, THAT MUST BE THAT PRESSURE ON THE NERVES LIKE YOU SAID DOC. I'M GONNA TRY THIS. SLOWLY!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!

    Omg that’s exactly what I do to decompress and I’ll feel and hear a pop in my lower back! A lot of these stretches came from desperation for me lol. Glad to know they’re official!

    Ok, I found you; you were in the kitchen doing this exercise. Anyway, this is how I get my back moving in the morning. With exercise, my back is better during the day. I am age 71, about to turn 72. When I was 40, a doctor once told me, you look young if you keep sitting and don't stand up. To say the least, I fired him. You inspired me so much then, but I wasn't ready to hear. Your channel support, Sonja and Christopher

    I do this all the time. I find the ledge of a kitchen sink is the best height to do this, at least for myself. I pull myself away from the ledge and my back will pop and this move helps so much. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    I have severe stenosis and deteriorating disc disease and is starting to really kick my butt and I'm 42 and I could I can't walk that good right now and that helped me a lot like ease it up
