Honestly. This line. Wow. Magneto, gambit and nightcrawler all had lines last week where I was like, woah. Magnetos speeches in episode 2, *chefs kiss* The writing is so damn good, but also like did the writers just finish some philosophy courses or something? Jeez.

That is hard to determine, in this universe the Phoenix saga already past. So I would say no. Literally the Phoenix saga was the biggest series of episodes in the x-men 97 timeline so for them to return back on that would be a stretch. Professor X only saw gambits death because he was using his mind control at its fullest post gambits death. And writers already concluded that Sinister X is the big baddie in this season.
Don't forget that Cable showed up very briefly before the attack. There is gonna be some time-travel timeline fixing stuff.

At 20:27, I think this is foreshadowing Gambit becoming the Horseman of Death and not Master Mold. There's a reason why Apocalypse is shown in the intro of episode 5 and 6 and why Mr. Sinister is being shown as the "Big Bad" of Season 1. When Sinister shows up, you know Apocalypse is lurking behind the scenes.
I almost forgot about out that. that's an interesting theory about apocalypse getting a new 4 horsemen. maybe Sunfire will become pestilence.

Vulcan just made an appearance in xmen 97 i hope they flesh out in his story in later season.

I hope they don't, I want that vintage X-Men TAS feel, where they introduced Havok and never mentioned at all that he and Scott were related. If they do it hear and Vulcan never even interacts with Scott it'll feel more authentic.

This is just me, and I can understand that Xavier’s armor was like the type he had in the comic…but I can’t be the only one who noticed how close that armor was to a discolored Stryfe.

Great breakdown, but that is NOT Starbolt, but Vulcan (Gabriel Summers) and is a HUGE and amazing tease that they can build on for a future arc!
This hit so wonderfully❤ I was tearing up and cheering. Storm is iconic and shes getting her flowers. It was a nice up swing after the devastating gut punch of last episode. Deathbird was incredible and gagged us all. Gladiator is awesome. Charles was messy and loved his astral plane lesson.

I believe the subjugated alien race was the Kymellians. They are from the Power Pack comic book series. Beta Ray Bill's race doesn't have horse heads if I'm remembering correctly. He only developed that when they cybernetically enhanced him to be one of their warriors to fight against demons. Though I could be wrong about that.
Beta Ray’s people don’t look like horses. Those horse like aliens remind me of the aliens who gave the Power Pack their powers.

The writing in this show just blows my mind. And it's not just 97 but the OG cartoon as well. I still to this day remember and sometimes recite Beast's quotes.
It surprised me that Xavier came so close to marrying into an imperialist nation. Was teaching them to change their ways something he always intended to do? Or was it desperate move to stop the fighting? I wish they made that more clear.

I can Not believe how good this show is. I grew up with 90's cartoon. But damn this show has just blew me away.
Are we sure that it’s not Apocalypse masquerading as Sinister? It seems odd that Sinister, who loves specimens, would eradicate so many potential subjects in Genosha
The way Sinister spoke, he was offering an 'out', seems he's not the cause of Genosha, but someone who wants to take advantage of what was caused. Sinister appeared in 'front', but the attack from the one who used the DNA for Master Mold came from 'behind'.
Sinister worked for Apocalypse before, so he may be working for him one more time.
There's one thing Sinister can't resist... and that is anything that revolves around Jean and Scott which is his obsession. So, this is the real Sinister we are seeing, and Apocalypse is surely there somewhere ready to start DoFP.
He's done it in the comics, seems this is partly adapting 'Mutant Massacre' where Sinister genocides the Morlocks.
@@WitchesLocal161 Wiping out the Morlochs, the 'dregs' of Mutant DNA, is on a whole different league than wiping out Genosha, though. He enjoys strong samples, wiping out the majority of that is not conducive to his goals.
Charles as a teacher in a class room best thing ever
I don't think Storm embracing her powers coming back on this episode was too soon. After last week's loss, I feel that as an audience member we needed a win...a sign of hope and Storm's rise to the sky with her powers intact (enchanced maybe?) as well as her "new" costume IS that sign of hope. That aside, I have REALLY enjoyed this series's comeback.
That's not really a new costume. That uniform is the original from back in the '70s. That is the iconic super sized uncanny X-Men number 1.

Those horsies look more like Kymellians, not Korbinites. Korbinites have flat-faces normally, it's only Beta Ray who looks horsie-like, and only when he powers up with Mjolnir or Stormbreaker. And, notably, Beta Ray Bill looks like a skeletal horsie when powered up.
Kymellians had a hand in creating the Power Pack, who were often side characters related to the mutant cast without completely joining any X-folk.

I rolled with Storm getting her powers back via processing her grief and fear by thinking of it being similar to Spidey in Spider-man 2 working through a 'web block' / mental block inhibiting his powers.
Even as a DailySupporter, I Never realized I was a comic fan without reading any of the comics. I continue to learn more than I could ask for by simply supporting the other fans with similar mentality. I love learning of what has already been written with details. Continue teaching. I'm sure I'm not the only student here who wakes up looking forward to "class"
