This is exactly what I was looking for, great work and video. One question, can you take a picture of how the front looks on the corners??

I was hoping you showed how you finished the corners at the front. Hopefully you can show us in a new video

I’ve been thinking of shiplapping my peninsula but I hadn’t thought off covering the side of the cabinet as well. I’m thinking I wouldn’t kick the toe kick part but a little nervous about that. I’ll probably do it anyway thanks for the idea.

Can you show how you finished the shiplap next to the dark cabinets on the otherside of the island.

You did a very good job. Could you tell me how big your countertop is?

Can you add to the video, or post another video of what you did on the front/door side? Looking to see how it’s finished on that corner. Thanks!

Yeah for some reason none of these fine folks show how the front looks when finished. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

What did you do with the other side? Were their drawers to contend with? Nice video though. I like the corner trim.

Nice work! Probably a lame question, did you rent those tools(the circular saw, table for the saw, nail gun etc) or you bought all of them outright? I wanted to try something like this for my house and wanted to know guidance if it makes sense to buy those tools or rent them.

How did you treat the front????

I’m in the middle of doing this and stuck because of the rough edges of shiplap that are showing near cabinet doors side of the island. How did you cover up those edges?

Have you tried another corner piece?

I would look into adding a smaller trim piece maybe scribe molding?

looks cool but doesn’t match your kitchen. I’m thinking of matching the island sides with the backsplash tile or cut glass
