I did the exact same design as you did! Just seeing your video now. I used MDF . I made the same stiles/rails nailed to the side panels, primed, and painted and nailed them onto the cabinets and frame work. Just need to fill in the holes with Alex silicone and touch up with paint.

Hi. I just wanna let you know that you did an awesome job on your island table. Its really nice and I like it. My wife and i been wanting to make one but don't really know where to get the cabinets. Only place i know is homedepot and lowes. Any advice of specific place to get the cabinets? But the butcher block i will get it at home decor. Pls need your help. Thanks

How did you prep and match the paint? Did you also paint the cabinets to the paint matches?

looked like poplar, gr8 wood for non-staining purposes, stable and fairly hard, prob have to lumber yard though
