Looks great! We’re on our 3rd Ikea kitchen (move too much!) and very happy with the quality. On our first kitchen we started by purchasing mid-range, supposedly solid wood cabinets from HD, but when they were delivered, even still boxed, the fumes were intolerable and we had them come take them back. It was surprisingly bad. We’re very happy with the Ikea installation system (“Sektion”) as well.

That's a big budget
For the size of this island it’s not bad, this island is over 9 feet long. Normal size islands will cost much less 😊👍🏽

I liked that you kept the same island counter top. My question is how does 1 figure out the correct extra width of the counter top to use for extra seating.

Looks beautiful. I did not see any anchoring to the floor by hidden cleats in the video. But maybe ok if the island is very heavy.
Hi! Yes the island is very heavy alone without items inside, but with the items filled in the drawers it shouldn’t budge. I would suggest anchoring smaller island though 👍🏽😊🙏🏽
