I really love the look of that and it should not be too hard to add that to any existing kitchen cabinet. Thanks Anika!

Thanks!
Thank you so much Jorge!! I appreciate you so much!
This is so beautiful, exactly what I want to do with my kitchen island. I need to work with the concrete block though - what would you recommend to do differently when applying wood panels to concrete?
This was a wonderful DIY video!
Love that color. What is it?
👏 Ótimo
This is absolutely awesome!!. I want to go for the same design and color.
Could you please tell me how was your experience so far with this? I have kids and they often use this area to eat and bang on the wall with their legs all the time, so I’m just worried about the edges. Do you think it can hurt?
It has been great. My son bangs his feet against it too. The edges being sharp aren’t really a problem. The bigger problem is paint chipping on the edges because of the banging. It’s not been too bad though. We are coming up at almost 2 years and there are 2-3 spots that have chipped paint that can be easily touched up if needed.
Did you re-add the supports for the counter overhang?
Nope. They weren’t needed.
Thanks, your video was so helpful. I would love to know dimensions of your slats (width and depth)? Or can you point to the product on a website? Thank you!
Hi! These are 1x2 boards. Their dimensions are 3/4” x 1.5”.
Do you think I can just use glue to stick it on? Thanks :)
Yes. You can - you can should use a strong glue like liquid nails but if you ever have to take it off, it will damage your cabinets.
That’s totally the same color I want to paint my kitchen cabinets
It is a beautiful color!
Love the color! What's the name of it?
It is SW Rock Garden
@@Anikasdiylife what brand?
It does look great but as you said hindsight is 2020.
You divided the total width of the wall by what number?
By the (width of slat plus spacing)+ 1 extra
