What a difference! You two should be really proud of yourselves and how the cabinets/counter turned out! Beautiful job and thanks for sharing with us...even the minor mistakes! Your kitchen looks so classic and clean now.
I am blown away with your confidence to tackle what seems like a monumental task to me. Of course I am 72... haha. But this is absolutely amazing. Talk about sweat equity! Looking forward to the hardwood floors and see this kitchen decorated.
Great job! This video goes to show that subscribers don’t care about all the new things or a $640 (on sale) coffee maker like Crystal Tara. Just because one is able to buy those things because their family got a $860 PPP loan, it isn’t relatable to a lot of people. You are relatable and your channel shows real value which is appreciated! Thank you!
Not gonna lie, I was cringing when the veining first went on.... but after you applied the white, it looked AMAZING. This is by far the best faux marble job I have seen.
Really great work and you did it all so fast! It took me weeks to do mine and I didn’t even do the counters! You go girl! I would suggest painting the base of the island black too and maybe painting the space between the glass block black too so it disappears more? Just suggestions for ya! Love you!
At a previous house we did epoxy countertops over mdf as a temporary solution. It yellowed and felt plastic-y and also would stick to paper and labels of products that were left on the counter. When we got the house ready to sell we put in a laminate countertop from Lowe's without a backsplash and it was sooo much better. I wished I had gone with laminate from the beginning, because epoxy really didn't work out well for my family. When we sold we had several realtors ask what kind of material it was! All this to say, if you are undecided what to do check out the Stretta laminate from Lowes as a cheap alternative before you decide it's worth the work to do epoxy! The kitchen refresh really does look great though and hopefully it works out better for their family!
So glad I saw this comment!!!! Thank you for sharing your experience! I have a family of (almost) 6 and I stay home making all meals with my kids so let’s just say we’re “hard” on counters 😂
Fabulous makeover! This is something you can get by with and do other makeovers that are more important. This kitchen was brought into the twenty first century. Bright, clean and modern.❤
The thought of me doing this in my kitchen 🙈 i’d have dog hairs and all kinds stuck to the units! You did an absolutely amazing job- it looks beautiful x
You were so brave to tackle such a project, but it turned out beautifully. I just want to paint my island black and I’m shaking in my Ugg boots!!! New subbie here, can’t wait to see your next project!! 😊😊😊
Wow, what a change. Gorgeous! My new house has a tiny kitchen but I love it. I also kept the old oak cabinets but I painted them grey and added a marble look quartz countertop. Like you, I also have a slide out breadboard. That's my favorite part of the kitchen.
Amazing transformation ...great job!!!! I want to ask you if the paint would fade soon ? Thank you in advance for your reply!!! I send you my love and kisses from Greece!♥️💋
I love this!! We are going to be painting our cabinets and this video let me see how my kitchen will look too afterwards. We have almost the same layout. ❤️❤️❤️❤️Great Job!!
Have you thought about removing the cabinets to the right of the stove and replacing them with windows? You have a bunch of storage and probably wouldn't really miss that storage space in the long run.
What a beautiful transformation for your kitchen! I'm going to be painting my cabinets they are 38 years old. I'm nervous. They always say paint has to cure for 30 days. Did you find that that's why it came off with the tape? Has anyone used that Beyond paint is it pretty durable when it comes to kids? Are you having to touch up all the time? I have grandkids and bonus little ones that come over so I'm trying to figure out what would be my best option. I love your countertop. Mine is the old countertop that looks like Butcher Block but it isn't but it's countertop you can't destroy. I don't like it but I'm just wondering how cautious do you have to be with epoxy or do you not have to? I just think your kitchen is beautiful it is so much brighter great job the two of you
Love this! I'm curious if you used the Beyond Paint sealer on your cabinets as well? It seems it's not necessary but I'm curious if you didn't use it if you've experienced any chipping of the paint? Looking to use Beyond Paint to paint our kitchen cabinets this summer - can't wait!
Wow! Beautiful. Question: did you put any epoxy on your backsplash? I have granite counters and backsplash but am unsure what to do with the backsplash portion of it. Thanks!
You did such a great job, and way to go on using what you already have and making it better. One thing I’ve noticed, is that in all your videos, your voice volume is a lot lower than your music volume. So I constantly have to keep lowering the volume whenever the music plays, I was just wondering if there was a way that you could keep it consistent so my ears don’t get blasted 😬. I actually really enjoy listening to you, but often times I’ve had to mute, and just read the captions
This looks so good - I did my kitchen with Beyond Paint over the holidays and I think I took as long taping everything off as you did painting the whole thing! When I do our bathrooms, I’m just going to do minimal tape and go for it like you did. 😅
So glad I found this video that it is soo recent and not from years ago lol
This goes to show with elbow grease and RUclips you can tackle anything. This looks amazing and I love it.
Thank you so much!!
I would never attempt veining! You did a great job. The whole kitchen looks fabulous! I love it.
Thank you so much!
I agree she did a fantastic job!!! ❤️
I wouldn't believe that those countertops are paint and epoxy if I hadn't saw this video! They look really great!

Amazing what a little paint can do to a space. You and your husband did an awesome job.🙃
Not gonna lie, I was cringing when the veining first went on.... but after you applied the white, it looked AMAZING. This is by far the best faux marble job I have seen.
Damn that brown splotch from the fly would drive me nuts 😂lol!!!
Would never have painted that beautiful countertop!😢
I agree, the beauty of natural stone has been destroyed and now it looks cheap
Me either. It was gorgeous
I loved the granite it’s so lovely.
You and your Husband did a Fabulous Job updating/painting your Kitchen! Nailed It!!!!! Xoxoxo Jacqueline from Texas
You did a beautiful job on your kitchen. It looks so nice like a professional I know you going to enjoy
Wow looks like a lot of hard work. Looks so different. Love the white look👍🏻
That looks amazing!
Really great work and you did it all so fast! It took me weeks to do mine and I didn’t even do the counters! You go girl!

Great idea!! When you do the floors, I will try that!
This process was so interesting! I watch a lot of your videos and I would've NEVER guessed that your countertops were DIY! They look great!
To get the resin off certain areas of your appliances use a geat gun and a small scraper and be gentle but it will loosen up to remove it.

Amazing transformation ...great job!!!! I want to ask you if the paint would fade soon ? Thank you in advance for your reply!!! I send you my love and kisses from Greece!♥️💋
I used that counter top paint at our last home and it ended up chipping after 6 months. Be careful how you lay things down on it or sliding things 😊
Beautifully done!! Love your style of home decor too really inspiring ❤

The kitchen looks great! Is there a reason why you chose not to paint the island base board the same black colour?
