SO, SO beautiful! So beautiful. How wonderful you're making your space so gorgeous even if it's just temporary. So many of us don't spend the time (or money ) to make our temporary homes beautiful and it's such a shame because our environment really impacts our emotional and physical well-being 💕

If eventually the seams on the island bother you, you can wrap it length wise, and cover the seam with a runner. you can even off-center it to have the seam closer to the chairs so you don't always have to move the runner out of the way when cooking. I love a cake dome in the kitchen! Takes me back to my childhood - expect instead of protein cookies, it was a marble cake! 😜

WOW!! Love this incredible transformation!! Crazy to think it's renter-friendly peelable. It would be interesting to know what all of the materials cost, excluding the furniture. You've taught me to see furniture differently with those slipper chairs. They look so perfect in that space, and uber comfy! ❤

Wow! What a transformation! Really beautiful. Great idea putting the paper down before the peel n stick tiles. The brand I used was a little tricky to remove. You should definitely be able to reuse them since you have most of the backing left. The black border around the edge…chefs kiss!

I was thinking the same thing - you can probably reuse the tiles in your next place! The floor looks beautiful! What an impactful difference just with the border you first laid down.

Oh my gosh, the kitchen makeover turned out absolutely fabulous. I have always wanted a checkerboard kitchen floor. Now I have an idea LOL. I cannot get over all the hacks and tips in this video. I have been struggling with some flooring that isn't my style or color. Now I see I can go to Lowes and get some peel and stick tiles and it will be beautiful! Your space looks stunning and the black border separating the floors turned out lovely. Ahh-mazing transformation Jenna! By just adding the border it automatically changed. I love tall florals too on my dining table, so use a basket tray with handles to be able to remove it easily when hosting. We learn so much from your videos. I love how you explain your thought process behind your design plans!

In such a short time you have set up your space to reflect everything you love. Your eye for detail, textures, color, are so impressive. I am blown away with the floor. I really appreciate that you talk about clashing colors/wood tones. It has been over 10yrs that I havent chosen a paint color for my bathroom wall because the flooring and the counter clash. I would like to lay tiles down like u did but am nervous because its our main bathroom...mould may grow under the tiles.

I love the floor! I’ve been wanting to try the peel-and-stick checkerboard pattern in my home to see if I would like it before committing to real marble or tile. Adding the transition border was so smart. The whole space looks amazing!

I actually really like the counters as they are. They look very current to me. The air bubbles, seams and super glossiness of the contact paper island would drive me crazy. They make matte contact paper too, might be a better option.
