I just wanted to take another moment to say thank you to all of you for being so patient, so encouraging, and so amazing throughout this past year as I renovated this kitchen. I’m so proud of the work that was done in here and so excited that you all are just as stoked as I am to see it come to life.

*Gorgeous* . Love the shelf on the side of the fridge. The sight lines are lovely, and even though it's a small kitchen, the island is everything and gives you a functional work space. Well Done!

I love a woman who can do anything and everything on their own. Such a badass! I'm working my way towards better skills. I just bought a bunch of new tools recently (jigsaw, circular saw, table saw, etc.) And I'm doing a ton of stuff to the house I just bought. I'm doing it all myself. Its so empowering!
I think you did a fabulous job. I like all of the use of texture. You made plain white Home Depot cabinets look designer level. Wood accents, green plants, stainless steel and really luxe counter tops. I also love that you hung a dark window shade. Your kitchen does not look cheap by any means and I appreciate how proud you are. You should be. ❤

WOW. This definitely has the WOW factor and you should seriously be proud of all you have accomplished. The only niggle is the microwave facing outwards into the dining room but that’s just my opinion and it’s *your* space so it doesn’t really matter. I think it’s all absolutely stunning and it’s certainly a home to be proud of. Congratulations, Sweetie. I’m doing a happy dance with you. xxx
I came on here to see if someone else had the same opinion. I was wondering the same. The only thing I can think of is that the drawer might not open all the way if it was facing towards the inside. Otherwise I think it looks fantastic!
Congrats on reaching the finish line on the kitchen. Looks fantastic. Daughter is in process gutting her kitchen and it does seem like it will take a year. Nice to know others have taken that long. Floor tile goes down in April!

The only thing I'd do differently is have the microwave drawer in the island and other drawers facing inward toward the kitchen for that separation between the kitchen and dining room. Great job on mostly DIYing the most difficult part of the house! It looks warm, inviting, clean, and cohesiveness at the same time! I especially love the shelving you added to the wall on the side of the kitchen leading into the living room. Kudos!! My only addition to the space would be art.
When you added the shelf to the side of the fridge it added such warmth! Loved it ❤
My top 3 reno/design I ever saw. If I were to have my ideal 1st dream home this would be it inside & out. Very similar taste. You and your dad knocked it out of the ballpark w/ the bases loaded....WoW!

I actually was really down when starting this video because some of my own projects were not going well, and you helped me ease up on myself and get some motivation to fix it and keep going. So proud of you!
Your kitchen looks FANTASTIC. It is in a small space, but it looks like you have all the room you need to put together meals, to entertain, and to live in it. I especially love the floating shelves over the coffee station and the fridge shelves. Both really make the kitchen look different than other spaces I've seen and they're very you.

Wow, you are one brave and skilled woman! It looks great. So nice to have a Dad with skills who is willing to help too. That was quite the project. A kitchen doesn't have to be huge to be functional and beautifully designed and decorated, and you've got a lot less space to clean. I mean, really, who needs a 15 foot long island??? I think it's beautiful. The only question mark I have above my forehead is whether you considered adding some woodwork and molding to the top of the cabinets to close in the space up to the ceiling.

I think it’s a perfect kitchen for the size of your home, it looks amazing.
Is not the size that matters but the memories you will create in this united open space you made. Very efficient and clever to put the microwave on the island. wowww the whole space came together so nicely. That book case style shelf on the site of the fridge is awesome. I love your colour scheme chosen in both spaces and they tie together so nicely. I know a lot of people will look at this kitchen and think, "Ooh, too teeny." However, that work triangle combined with the space on the island is crazy efficient. Probably a more useful kitchen than much larger ones.

I think the kitchen looks absolutely amazing! I think you did a great job with utilizing the space that you had available. I think I personally would have left the microwave above the stove because I think having to bend over to use the microwave would have been a pain but the microwave drawer looks cool as heck and if it works for you then that's all that really matters. Can't wait to see the full video on how you built the shelf on the side of the fridge.
