A real DIY'er that doesn't walk out into a shop with thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment.
I’ve watched this a handful of times so I think I’m ready to tackle mine now!
Leave the white shiplap and cabinets. Always add color accessories to change by season!! Nice!
I recognized that DR Horton kitchen immediately since mine has the same look. I really like this idea, thanks for sharing!
Awesome love the trim work looking to do this in my kitchen when I paint my cabinets white !
Great tutorial! Looks awesome! So glad you mentioned how you redid the outlet as we have the same receptical situation. Thanks!
A gray would be nice for contrast! Looking to do this in my kitchen. thanks for a great tutorial.
That is a great idea! Thank you :)
Love the island.
Love it! Im going to do this! Woot woot! 🤗
Nice job, good save on the outlet cover. You would have been crucified for the original outlet cover job. Came out awesome, thanks for sharing.
I like it. That's very nice.. sending this video to my husband :-) Congrats on the baby!
Thanks for sharing, I will do my Kitchen island.
Great job boss i hope the best for your channel love your work👍 keep posting ill keep watching
Thank you so much. I really appreciate the good vibes you are sending! :)
awesome dude! adds nice dimension/texture to island. your countertops and backsplash/stainless are enough to add/create balance/contrast.
Great job dude!👍🏾
To add color I use paint. I pick a color (I had a cinnamon but now it’s blue). I had the same coloring til I changed my cabinets
You have space for drawers, I would suggest to add some. Your kitchen looks great as it is.
nice. you can paint the boards to break up that white.
Do you see a benefit to putting corners on first, versus running shiplap all the way and going over top with shiplap?
Paint island grey. Will be a good contrast.
Great job! What kind of trim did you use for the corners ect. Was that all shiplap?
Great tutorial. And great work!! My island looks very similar and I want to do the same as you did. Question though, what did you do with the quarter round or toe kick on the other side of the island???
I left that the way it was. Mine doesn't really have a toe kick on that side. Sorry that probably doesn't help you much.
Wish you would have showed the front of the island I would love to see how you finished it off thank you
Nice work! Probably a lame question, did you rent those tools(the circular saw, table for the saw, nail gun etc) or you bought all of them outright? I wanted to try something like this for my house and wanted to know guidance if it makes sense to buy those tools or rent them.
What paint did you use?
Nice! What is the measurement of your island?
Hi I was wondering what’s the measurements of your kitchen island please
👏😍👩🍳
what is the width of the MDF for the corners?
I used 2.5 inch
cannot find that shiplap anywhere. everyone has 1in thick..
Paint your doors dark charcoal
That would look sweet. I might have to try that :)
Why cut out the kick toe on the side panel. Just run it all down. Also no need to caulk the ends when the shiplap has gaps anyway and finally ...paint the boards first!
Looks great! Too bad the panels are now $170 instead of $75 since last year 🤦🏻♀️
Hack job.
