What a treat this is, having enjoyed Jane's blog and colour wisdom for several years. I love my Daniel Smith paints too. Thank you so much to both of you!
This interview with Jan Blundell has been very informative! Thank you for posting it. I use her website often to help me choose colors, as she has done extensive work in this area.
I am new to watercolour and joined a colour mixing class with a local artist. We didn't spend much time with the mixing although I am enjoying painting pansies. Finding Jane's blog was wonderful. I could spend the next 5 years just mixing and not really painting. I love the alchemy of it. And Daniel Smith paints are wonderful although they are pretty expensive here in Australia. But worth it. I am in the process of deciding what paints to get to add to the basic 12 our teacher provided. And that is fun as well. Thank you Jane - I can't wait to try Jane's grey - it looks wonderful.
Loved hearing all of this. I adore Jane - the unofficial waterCOLOUR professor. My go to resource for colour mixing ! Thank you For this video. Really enjoyed it.
Love all the work that Jane does on her website to teach us about colors and pigments. So much detail, she is such a resource and inspiration especially when I can't decide what works best with what. Great artist and teacher, thanks for hosting her John!
I just want to make sure Jane knows how very much I value the class I’m taking now with her. I get so much out of it and I love her straight forward, clear, and detailed method of instruction ❤️
This was fun and informative. I am a huge Jane Blundell fan. Her charts on the Daniel Smith watercolors have been invaluable to me and I love all her helpful information out there about paints and watercolor in general. Her generosity in sharing this knowledge is greatly appreciated and enjoyed!
John these videos provide inspiration to all of us! I really enjoyed getting a look into Jane's world and her tips were very helpful. I look forward to taking her Master class!
I think this was the best one so far! Love the stills added in - very helpful to remove the camera motion and get a chance to look at her work. Thank you!
Recently I purchased a 6 pan set of the warm and cool primaries. Yesterday I made a rough color wheel and discovered that everything I just learned about color flew out the window. For the life of me I will never agree that Thalo blue is a cool color and Ultramarine is warm. Most books on color theory just use one red, one yellow and one blue, so the idea of warm and cool primaries is totally new to me! What do you think?
Jane seems like such a fun, kind, down to earth person. I love her work, beautiful and brilliant. She's inspiring

Absolutely, she has become my go-to reference for anything to do with watercolour paints, especially Daniel Smith colours.

Great video and good demo on the consistency and tonal values for all painters new and old.
