9:11 Take a second to think about how long this man has dreamed of this moment. This didn't happen over night, many people said it was impossible and although his Financial success certainly helped to speed up the process... it was his perseverance that made this possible. Ignoring the detractors, not becoming overwhelmed by the mountain of a task in front of him, but focusing on one step at a time. What ever your dream is.... *go for it* . Make a plan and get started... you *can* do it. It won't happen quickly, you *will* have setbacks... that's part of the process. Thank you for coming to my TeD Talk.
Only thing to do now, is keep improving it while leaving a copy of the V2 blueprints in a low security area, for an apocalypse survivor to find and craft at a ram shod crafting bench. And leave the V3 blueprints in a much more secured room for them to get after upgrading their lockpicking a/o hacking to find to make a decent long lasting version of the AK50.
This should be called the HAMR-24 named after the creator and the year, “Herrera Anti-material rifle 24’” just like the AK-47 (Kalashnikovs automatic 47’) is named after the creator and year. A fitting tribute and homage to the design and creator. Congratulations and best to you on your journey to candidacy. I read the comments, I agree thumbs up for: HAMR-24
Brandon- I remember that night at Dave's bachelor party when you decided to trust that small group of us with the "big idea" and sketched it out... you asked us if we thought you were crazy, and for feedback and we all said not at all, and to go for it... and then I watched excitedly as you told the world a few weeks later. From someone who's been on this ride with you from the very very first moments of that dream, until today and seeing that first full 10 round mag dump... may I say- I couldn't be more proud of my friend. GREAT job.

You guys do some amazing work at Titans. Wish I had the money to invest in some of the machinery you guys have and also wish I had the knowledge to operate them. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work guys.
In actual awe. To think when I first followed this build I was 18 living with my friends in an old crackhouse. Now I’ve been through a pandemic, got a house, got married, and have a 5 year old. From a fresh face frat kid playing with guns to (I hope) a congressman that really cares about people. It has been a kick seeing you grow over the years and seeing the 50 cal running so smoothly just brings a smile to my face. Congratulations Brandon! 👍
I wish I could have seen the look in your eyes, when you emptied that first mag.... well,,even you having sunglasses on, you wore the look on your whole body.... what a thrill, and what a joy to watch your 8 years for that one moment... Great Job!!! GOD Bless!

@@DGneoseeker1 actually that design is a scaled up SKS, Pretty Sure it was Brandon who did a video about that one. He might've borrowed the mag though.
It makes me think of the world's angriest staple gun in a good way. Big, functional, metal, springs actuating, and just chugging away. Feels like it would be used by that faction who's guns are all chunky, look kinda rough-machined, but you never have any issues from their guns either.
Im a controls systems engineer, machinist, gunsmith. I cant imagine the satisfaction you were feeling after these tests. Proud of you dude. Wish you all the best. Also, F Tony G.
I may be a little late to the party, but this eas clearly a labour of love from the start. Hat tip and then some sir! Thank you for sharing the journey with us. I saw this, watching a British Trooper review the video. He went from being not much of a gun guy to wanting to get his hands on your work of gunsmith art. Love your channel man, God bless!
Remember being hyped about this in middle school. I’m now 25 and it’s here. Made me shed a lil tear it’s done. Every update video was one step closer congrats Brendan.
@BrandonHerrera , historically I’ve always supported the 2nd amendment but this gun of yours is what is making me, at 38 never having fired a weapon in my life, despite always agreeing with it politically and being a conservative, albeit having an interest in classical music and a fear of hearing loss (for this reason, I support your congressional campaign, since current federal regulations regarding noise suppression devices are causing hearing loss legitimate law abiding gun owners, police officers and members of the armed services), make me want to look into it if I recover from the current hereditary illness (Marfans, which causes premature arthritis and the risk of aortic dissection among other delightful things, fortunately in my case the symptoms only became unbearable about six years ago, but my doctors are genuinely working hard for me). God bless you, and thank you for the wonderful things you do!
Ian from Forgotten Weapons has said that, as lofty as it sounds, he wants to do videos on "all the guns" he can find so he can build a comprehensive, timeless archive of firearm history and engineering. Just imagine, one day Ian will do a historical and engineering breakdown of the famous AK50.

My brother has passed in a tragic accident a couple of weeks ago. The AK50 was really something we as brothers followed and talked about. So sad to think that he isn't here to see the "finished product"...
It’s sad that Mikhail isn’t here to witness this. I’m sure he’s looking down from wherever he is with a smile on his face. This has been a fun ride Brandon, can’t wait to see more stuff from you!
I love that with all the growth brandon has gone through the years all Culminating in running a successful congressional campaign as well as this 8 year dream. He's still kept his sense of humor. Its been a hell of a ride to watch
That barrel whip is severe! I can see 3 potential causes: 1. Impulse gas on piston pushing gas block forward 2. Muzzle brake ports deflecting gas upwards pushing muzzle down. 3. Recoil rolling gun back and down at the butt pivoting on the bipod. Need to watch a slower slo-mo to see if the deflection starts before the muzzle brake gasses. Could test a version without brake. Could test a barrel without gas port. Could find a way to pin the gas block to the receiver to counter the thrust.
The credits at the beginning are just *perfect*. And I also love the way that the Deadpool theme is carried on consistently through the video. I dont care how much you overpaid the editor, they were still worth it.

I've been a registered gunsmith in Australia for only a few years and my favourite projects are farmers ak47 and 74 that come in after their barrels and pins were welded shut and you can tell who got a collectors license and who burried them in PVC pipe because the ones in pvc pipe are still nicely oiled. When they hear i can make it a legal rifle again their eyes light up like a adult riding in his dads childhood car. I've handled 2 50calibre rifles in my career and i got goosebumps before i even fired. @@prashanthb6521 absolutely only if it's job related e.g wild boar exterminator, government agencies and primary producers (me and certain shops with the correct licence) You need extra special permission to be allowed fully automatic and that's usually restricted to military and special police But who's to say you don't need a 20 or 30 round self loading rifle for your farm. You're allowed a 50 cal in Australia but the loopholes make it draining to own. We own more firearms now than before the amnesty program, we just don't need them for self defence. Just wanna say that since they've already taken our firearms you never see them asking for them again lmao meanwhile anytime I see California in the news I wonder what the heck they are doing.
Lmao, make sure to add a legendary unique version that's full auto.

HAMR-24 so its two syllables like its daddy. and sounds cooler.
Since Anti-Materiel Rifles are called AMRs, I suggest the HAMR-24, the Hammer.

It’s pretty much proportional to a regular size AK though right?
It's nothing insane. Have you ever seen high-speed footage of an AKM shooting?

It makes you wonder how it stays together. Even AK47s and M4s have barrel whip though. I’ve even seen scopes flex or whip when a large rifle is shot.

That barrel whip is severe!
I can see 3 potential causes:
1. Impulse gas on piston pushing gas block forward
Hopefully they see this. Those seem like important issues that may result in the 50s demise.
