My father was the chIef electrical inspector for Chance-Vought Corsairs. He brought me to the CT factory many times. I saw hundreds of Corsairs come out the factory. door, power-up and take off over the Sound. Thee F4U`s headed to Britain were painted all white with the names of the workers` kids painted in black on the tails. I learned to fly at 14 when I flew a Stearman cropduster up`n here mountains with a Texas jock. In those days we didn`t bother with a license. We just flew.
My late father flew the Corsair in the Pacific in WWII. He loved the AC and built beautiful models of them too. He would have loved this, as do I. (The sound effects really enhance the experience, I must say) Thanks for keeping the Corsair alive!
As far as a model; excellent. Flying; excellent. The replication of the R2800; as good as it gets for electric. I have 3000 hours operating the R2800, and I’m in love. Very German! Excellent.
That is the closet, most realistic flight I’ve seen from an RC plane. The engine power here is perfect, giving it a sense of a realistic power to weight ratio. Awesome!
Absolutely stunning!! Love how the prop built up speed to generate thrust to take off - very realistic!! Plus all those retracts -with the wing-fold being the icing on the cake to finish off an excellent flight!! SUPERB!! 👏👏👏👏👏
Idle Onlooker do you know what is powering the plane for thrust if it isn’t the big prop we see? Or is it the main prop we see? Are the other engines hidden? Thanks
@@Gump1Gump2 Thrust is generated by the engine, which is delivered by the propeller. I don't know if there are other engines mounted in this model - only the one that's driving the propeller. 👍
The F4U Corsair is my favorite piston engine plane. I got lucky, it only took me a couple minutes to find this video. Thanks and awesome flying. I'd like to see it flown outside.
A perfect demonstration of the most efficient F4U Corsair wing. Grumman's design team and this master builder's talents are so perfectly in sync the results had to be amazing. Thanks for sharing.
An amazing RC model. Its was an incredible 1/4 scale indoor flight, and a Flawless Landing. Great questions during the interview and video footage. Thanks for sharing : )
Amazing, I got all tingly. First, the starting sequence, then the sound. A super slow speed with flaps that had to be functional. Then retracts extended, finally after a perfect landing. The wings folded.
What a plane! What a model! And what a greaaaased landing! He smashed it! Three times!!! This is such a piece of modeling and building/flying skills. Congratulations!
Just shows you that if we could build or somehow incorporate some of the ideas seen here in modern aeroplanes then it could cut down in materials also help massively in fuel cost etc. But anyway excellent model RC Corsair, I appreciate you filming this and of course sharing. 👏👏👏👏👏

Nowhere near a plane like this that little thing your advertising is a hunk of junk
I want to by .
Can y tell me the price?
No
No
From where can I buy this model?
And how much money cost?
That flies unbelievably slowly. Beautiful model and well flown
Geordie NUFC : It’s indoors. You want it to fly slow.
@@jameshanlon5689 fly slow with a rc its actually good, he wasn't saying the plane is bad for flying slow, but the exact opposite
James Hanlon nah mate petal to the metal. Fighter jet speed
@@jameshanlon5689 I think he was amazed it could fly that slow. I know I was.
4ceof5pades
Yes I was admiring how slowly such a large aircraft could fly and still have full use of the control surfaces
As a corsair fan and US navy veteran, I totally appreciate the workmanship in this aircraft. Very well done!

That is by far the coolest indoor f4u corsair I've ever seen....
The ONLY indoor Corsair I've seen.
@@jonbrooks6748 IT CANNOT FLY Outdoors??
@@ORTHODOX-PATH Probably could, but if it can fly that slowly indoors I'd guess it's incredibly light and would be very susceptible to the wind.
@@Adenzel oh thanks for the info, and it should fly perfect! In a good day without wind.
It even whistles!
My jaw dropped when he raised the gear. Well done!
mine when he folded wings lol
so there's even a linkage to control your jaws. now I'm really impressed
@@Texeyevideo Mine when they picked it up and it looked like it weighed 30 pounds.
Yup... @ 0:30 I was thinking, "Pretty bird for sure. Too bad they can't put retracts in it."
Even the tail wheel went up.
That landing couldn’t have been any smoother.
It looks so weird flying, like it’s a puppet flying on a wire. Props for the engineering though. No pun intended.....lol
@StealthyMonk Nope, its just a very low wing loading.
This guy was great. What a remarkable plane. He should be proud.
Unbelievable piece of modelling. The quality, the detail, the engineering and that weight despite all this..... 4kg. Amazing. Well flown too.
One of the best Scale Corsairs, big model, small plane, slow spinning big prop, scale speed too!
More coolest, than any high speed RCs!!

That is impressive.
Seriously some sharp maneuvers in a confined space.
Yup! Being a master builder is one thing...but this guy can FLY ! A rare combination. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
And lights....incredible. Germany again..
I flew models years ago outside I am amazed how folks fly inside. This is possibly the most impressive RC aircraft I've ever seen.
I am absolutely awestruck by this... I had no idea this level of RC aircraft existed. This is blowing my mind.
ASTONISHING!!
And excellent flight characteristics as well.
Well done, Sir!!

After flying indoor rubber with some of the best flyers in Canada for over 15 years, I can appreciate what you've accomplished here - Well done !
I am 110% BLOWN AWAY by this model & flight! I truly have no words to describe how incredible that is! WOW!!!
now you just need a big green screened room and youve got a movie
My god! The grace exhibited in the flight was supreme and subtle all at once. I felt like I was there.
One of the most impressive models yet. And I'm not even particularly into the F4U Corsair or warbirds. Very, very impressive.
MY MIND IS BLOWN !
That Corsair is for sure a beautiful bird. You guys can be very proud of it.
Real Aeromodelling.....Kudos..
Amazing engineering aside, that landing was gorgeous. 2:10
Thanks for bringing such content to us.
This is unbelievable to watch. So beautiful and scale looking, but with amazing flight characteristics
FANTASTISCHE !!! Rumour has it he’s working on a 1/4 scale B29 for next years show .... 😬
Absolutely fantastic! Tell the man how much we appreciate it!! 👍👍
Absolutely bloody brilliant..........................plus a great piece of flying!

Yes sir! All landings need to be “wheel” landings. Absolutely the only way to go!
Magnificent build!
I have no words to comment the magnificence of this model: DAMNTASTIC!!
Fantastic plane and flying! Can't believe that big bugger is only 4kg. Mind blown.
Show this to my grandpa, now he having flashback and start telling his tale about his old days.
My grandpa was a deck crew when he was 16
Does he remember the F4U from Vietnam? Sandy and the Corsair were great with bombs, napalm and rockets!
I dont think so,he call every plane airplane
Well built and well flown by a pure gent. Well done.
Amazingly accurate details and very graceful in flight. These are equally good as their outdoor RC counterparts.
Pappy Boington would be proud to see this old style plane fly . Ba Ba Black sheep . Awesome take off and landing .cool to see it fly so slow .
Tjakepzzz 👌👍 Sangatzzz
Very 👌👍 Nice
Just Awesome 👌👍👏👏👏
Very agile and able to remain airborne at low speeds. Absolutely beautiful.
Holy crap!! That landing was perfection. Dont think I've ever seen one this clean of well lined up before

Amazing aircraft and ONE HELL OF A LANDING
I think I am stunned. I was not expecting that.

I love the dubbed in aircraft flyby sound and engine start.

Just outstanding
The flight characteristics of these models appears realistic, compared to the outdoor ones.
Kinda graceful super cool
The landing is PERFECT!
WOW......just....WOW.... Thank you for sharing and God Bless from Florida.
Exceptional flying. Beautiful model.
That landing though........
And it just floats like a butterfly. Very nice work. As a true long time Vought F4U Corsair enthusiast, I can say that I'm am indeed very impressed.
It looks so much more realistic flying at that speed. Tel us how it's done!
1908Rick low&slow ;)
1908Rick but yeah thats whats off with scale models normaly, they dont fly scale, this did, makes it a true piece of art. just like the OG F4 !
How its done... big indoor rc planes weigh next to nothing, made mostly of foam. They dont fly fast because they dont need much lift.
He's also geared down the prop using a helicopter gearbox IIRC.
I like it better to fly a plane this slow than a plane going too fast. That's my opinion though.
What a plane! What a model! And what a greaaaased landing!
He smashed it! Three times!!!
This is such a piece of modeling and building/flying skills. Congratulations!
Astounding especially after knowing the spec unbelievable what we've just seen. Kudos fella.😎
That F4U corsair is a real beauty!
That is true scale model with scale speed. Subscribe job
super , jetzt auch noch Sound, ganz schön abgedrehter Slow Flyer
Der Sound kommt aber nur vom Lautsprecher..
The flight and landing were perfect
Great flying...spectacular creation.
Impressed, and then the wings fold up!
Das ist unglaublich! How can anything that large and with so many features (including authentic sound generator!) be so light as to fly like that?!!
Sound comes from speaker, the other features are real
I have watched this so many times now, it is just a fantastic model
Bellissimo aeromodello e ottimo volo e superlativo atterraggio!!!! BRAVISSIMO
Das ist ja aber fast unglaublich!
Wow, really impressive!
Amazing! Just beautiful.
That is the single BEST looking RC flight I have ever seen. The build is superb and the slow flight is so real and scale looking.
Mike
Aim sure glad I’m part German . You guys rock
Amazing detail & performance! Whistling Death!
Stunning! Didn't expect it to be so good.
WOW ..my hat off for this pilot and his F4U flight @ almost 8 lb weight ..
Pilot your are amazing! That was incredibly cool
Beautiful
That thing was flying at almost stall speed...and has got retractable landing gear...AND HAS FOLDABLE WINGS!!!! SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!!!
Are you kidding, they can take my car, my dog and my wife. Lol
@@t5239857289578947594 They'll take the dog. Cars and wives are liabilities - not assets!
It flies like an R/C glider in a light thermal.
That is just superb, so light AND folding wings. Very realistic flight, better than going too fast as many do
That was a beautiful bird. Must be fun to fly. Great interview.
That's the most impressive rc aircraft I,ve EVER seen!! 👍👍👍👍👍
absolutely perfect, well to me it is, everything about that plane is to scale and of course i have in mind the speed,,, really well done guys
Simply brilliant, the first time I see a rc scale model made with such light materials. Seeing it fly is surreal!
Just shows you that if we could build or somehow incorporate some of the ideas seen here in modern aeroplanes then it could cut down in materials also help massively in fuel cost etc.
But anyway excellent model RC Corsair, I appreciate you filming this and of course sharing. 👏👏👏👏👏
