*In 1963, I got a "Stuka" with a gas-motor was somewhat larger than the one in the video...I don't remember the maker, but it was the type you controlled from a 'double-string' that went to a 'T'-handle...all it could do was fly in a circle!* *I never started the engine since there was no fuel or battery included, and I think it was too sophisticated for me to actually fly it around...being 9-yrs. old, I would've likely wrecked it!* *I had it for years, in an attic or closet, and don't know what happened to it...I remember I still had it in the early '70's, and I wish I had it back!* ( *ps...too bad there's no 'old pilots' there who actually flew a REAL 'STUKA'...I bet they would love to see this beautiful replica actually fly as graceful as a hawk* ) *My understanding is that the 'Stuka' was actually very advanced for the era, very reliable and 'stable to fly' as well as being able to survive a lot of damage...and deadly accurate against ground-targets!* *But...it's own size and weight gave it a top-end of perhaps 230-40mph air-speed in level-flight and that made it 'easy meat' for fighters, as well being 'hard to miss' because of it's large fuselage & wings*

My dad took it for it's maiden flight and started off at full throttle (!) It couldn't be adjusted in flight. Well the thing went in an arc right oner our heads and straight into the ground at 90 degrees. Surprisingly the structure survived but the engine mounts were destroyed. It never flew again.

@@GJuergen2009 You are a very gifted young man. You have much high level experience in this hobby. Would you state which gearbox - motor - propeller you use? You could greatly enrich many micro RC flight enthusiasts knowledge and experience . Perhaps a booklet of sorts - for a fee, say on ETSY? Available in English also? Thanks for your time.

Amazing. The slow flight gives it added realism.
I have to assume this is super-ultra-lightweight to fly like that.
Is this primarily made up from foam?
