Seems it's the year for truck troubles. The other day I was having issue with my beastie where it acted like it was having dirty battery cables and not wanting to start right off, so everything was cleaned and put back. It did really great for a few days then it started back up doing the slow to start.
Took the truck to Advanced Auto and the guy try to say it was the starter trying to go out, but it seemed to be centered around the ignition switch, I can press in on the ignition and it will mostly start right off. If I try to start it without pressing in first it won't do anything but click.
They tell me at the dealership that the switch will have to be rebuilt because of the key having the chip, you can't just get a new ignition switch. It's the first major issue so far, and my Raptor is a 2010. I'll keep you updated in case you ever face the same situation yourself in the future.

Please do! That sounds odd that Ford can't code the new key/switch combo to the truck's VIN; we've had that before many times. But we also wouldn't be surprised if Ford did something special for the Raptors. Keep us posted and thanks for the comment!

I always keep zip ties in my truck. Never know

Smart! We usually try to keep zip ties, duct tape and a multi tool in the truck but somehow none of that made it into the Raptor... so, packing tape! Thanks for the comment!

Glad it was an easy fix👍🏻 Now that was an opportunity to add 4auto. yeah itd have cost 100x more but ya know, its what us guys do sometimes 😂
the issues ive had have been the wires in the door jambs and a sunroof leak. Thankfully an easy fix also.

We're working on the sunroof leak right now!! 😂 And for us it was the wires as well as the spaghetti monster that makes up the vacuum actuated hubs. And we TOTALLY prefer to upgrade instead of just replace and you're right. Its just what we do sometimes lol Thanks for the comment!
