Seriously Charles if you have some time watch Professor Michel van Bizen's channel he has 61 videos on the atmosphere. Or look at Professor William van Wijengaarden's video on methane and climate. You will get an understanding of the physics and the saturation of these gases in the atmosphere that limits temp increases.( flattening curve)
These metrics would be helpful if the research didn't already illustrate that an organic plant-based food production system is lowest land use, lowest water, lowest carbon and lowest environmental impact way to deliver the planet's food supply. Our oceans are already over-exploited after fishing with 'sustainably certified' methods. Use the reduced agricultural land footprint to rewild and plant-trees to sequest carbon. In my view, it's time for action when we already know the answer rather than for well-intented frameworks.
Global food production is indeed a trust, and resource rich regions support non-productive areas. However, private farming and profit-driven markets will not offer a solution to allowing alternative and climate-sensitive farming practices. And, that says nothing about the added burden of distribution and supply obstacles. Middlemen, including the UN, have failed to be the facilitators, and experience tells us the need to find new ways. Frankly, a land trust in productive countries should be offered directly to "poor" countries who participate in food production, farming, and distribution decisions based on 2021 standards and sustainability. The problem with using existing supply chains and organizations necessarily means that we cannot eliminate for-profit or environmentally damaging practices, either drastically or gradually. Once practices are established, they cannot be removed from the operating system. What this means is that "rich" countries need to allow, no, to give up, ownership, control, and profits from (a portion of) food production, supply and distribution, in trust, to allow others to participate in every step of the global food production process, including climate change. Just like offering an embassy to foreign countries within which they make sovereign (political) decisions, so should a land trust for the practical matter of developing new and innovative systems and practices that encompass global matters, politically and practically, based on future benefits to everyone, offering a win-win-win solution. The world can no longer tolerate a model of private ownership, profit, and control with its zero-sum answers.
And how are you going to make farming zero carbon without starving millions? Farms still need oil based fertilisers and pesticides and still need diesel driven tractors. This is a pipe dream unless they're happy skyrocketing food costs.
@@JPSRose There are (I would guess) something like several thousands of farmer who manage perfectly well without oil based fertilizers and pesticides. The idea that we need these things has been touted for far too long by the big producers of such items. They are only interested in profit, not whether the soil is being ruined. If we poison the soil we poison our food and poison ourselves

“Peace-love” but a heavy doses of cynicism. Few people in his position really talk and move chess pieces on this matter like he does. It can’t be that he doesn’t care, don’t you think? He does eat organic, and follows the alternative health rout as well. Then it’s not only talk.

It's 2021, am I seriously going to have to explain how the many ways someone can be privileged makes their life easier?
Farms are fine, the climates fine, jog on.

You don't believe your own bollocks, surely? What farming practice wouldn't survive with double the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere?

And how are you going to make farming zero carbon without starving millions? Farms still need oil based fertilisers and pesticides and still need diesel driven tractors. This is a pipe dream unless they're happy skyrocketing food costs.
NO THEY DO NOT
@@Artemis7373 well no they don't need oil if they're happy starving out half the world's population, that's my point.

I wonder when this was filmed as recently videos of the Queen’s ridiculous “Zoom” meetings and various Prince Charles videos have been Actors/doubles and this looks like the real thing? You can see the others are fake by the Queen missing a tooth, fake jewellery, junk shop furniture, clothes etc. We know Prince Charles wears his clothes for forty years and drives an Aston Martin which I believe his mother gave him many years ago so I recognise the fake by his cheap modern suit and “normal” suburban home background. What’s going on?? By the way I do trust his organic credentials as I buy his Duchy organic food in Waitrose because it is delicious and good value for money/health. Also because he eats it himself he probably arranges for the chemtrails to avoid his land. It is possible that his food could be the only real organic food left in the world. Regenerative agriculture is wonderful, but doesn't get to the roots of the problem. You cannot have infinite growth on a finite planet. Until overpopulation and the consumerist capitalist system are dealt with, the planet will continue to suffer. Bless you for trying, Charles, but your fix is a band aid on a gaping wound.

This is a deliberate and necessary fashion when you live in large country houses and Palaces in the U.K. to keep out the draught in cold winters when you have a very large property to heat. I do it myself with my glass kitchen/garden door which is like having a freezer door open in winter without the over long curtain!! Actually you have reminded me that my Grandmother in cold and damp Northern Ireland in the Fifties had a huge thick over length velvet curtain on the inside of the Sitting Room door, probably because it was the only room they could afford to heat. You’ve made me think I should go and live in Spain as I rarely put my heating on and my poor Siamese cat lives under the duvet all winter, he is there now and it is May and 16 degrees inside and outside!!
