They didn't like one another for a multitude of reasons and Johnny wasn't about to compromise the truth of his feelings and is on record as stating he'd rather others do the same to him and not be coming around just because he were ill, if they weren't close in life!.. I was fortunate to have seen them live more times than I can even count and even went to record signing they did for when they were touring for Brain Drain. I was so thrilled because Joey made a comment about the shirt I was wearing. It saddens me that they are gone now and that they never really saw how successful that they became. They are true legends and one of the most under rated rock bands of all time

So glad I got to see them in concert. Escape from New York tour. Had debbie Harry and Tom Tom Club on the bill. The only time I left my seat and joined the mob at the front and jumped around. What a blast!
ramones for life! had a one night stand with a punk rocker named sally who loved them & snuck me into her friend stacey's house. she quoted rock 'n' roll high school to me over coffee the next morning & then i walked her to the subway & kissed her goodbye. i'd only seen it once so i didn't catch the cats & dogs in idaho scene she was doing, wish i could replay that & act out the movie with her & i'd give her some lines from she's a sensation & my my kind of a girl! bittersweet but in a lot of ways it was the perfect night, from the bar to the bleachers across the street to the creaky bed on a warm june night with nothing to lose catching her in a dip, i'll never forget when she said do you wanna come back & watch bat 21 with me, how could i say no to an offer like that from someone so sweet who looked as good as she did in a paisey tube top & a midnight miniskirt with a black riff randell shag!
PJ Soles was in two of the greatest films of the 70's, "Halloween" and "Rock N Roll High School", and in such a short period being one year after the other. The same cinematographer too, Dean Cundey. Final shout out to Dick Miller, who had a small role in the film. RIP Dick, you were one of the greats.

Johnny was my biggest inspiration to play guitar, and Dee Dee is the reason why I like the Fender P Bass so much.
