The 4a a by far me favorite. Battery life was amazing, and the fingering reader on the back was fast and accurate. Yes, it was a bit on the slow side, but all things considering, was a champ. My 7a is ok. Battery life isn't very good(for me), and like many others, loathe the in screen fingerprint reader, that frequently doesn't work well.
    Good review. Thanks!

Honestly, I think Google have been missing the mark with the 7a. They're blurring the lines entirely too much with the flagship line and this model. People that purchased the 6a weren't the type that ever even cared about the 60hz panel or the lack of wireless charging. Now those people have to pay for those unnecessary features all because large profile tech channels complained even though they weren't going to use the budget model to begin with.

it is obvious that the 7a phone is a more advanced version compared to the 6a. I personally own a 6a and am very happy with it. The problem is that in this video the 6a is presented as being only 50 pounds cheaper than the 7a, and I paid 277 EUR for mine a month and a half ago on Amazon, well before the 7a came out! The difference is currently a minimum of 150 EUR.

Hi! Have been using iPhone for about 10 years now, currently using iPhone 14 Pro Max and I’ve been looking for some change. That because I’m not a professional user, I use my phone for social media, taking daily photos and videos, Pokémon go and clash of clans. So I’m really not in need of an expensive phone like a iPhone 14 Pro Max. Which google pixel phone should I go for? The pixel 7 or 7a? Just need a stable, fast phone with good camera.

That 7a looks sweet as a nut! I'm enjoying my new 6a at the moment. My use niche use case is running GrapheneOS custom ROM in it. It's far more stripped down than Google's version. Running the Google Camera app in a sandbox is what I DO with this phone. Haven't bothered to put in a SIM card; I may never do that, to be honest. I'd rather take photos than blather on the horn in any case. As you've said time and again, the computational still photography in a Pixel phone is staggering. Hopping on my bike to take more pictures to compare with...all my old DSLRs that I leave at home now. Aloha!

@@wiktor.x Indeed! My 6a is used as a camera, a means to read my ebooks and magazines, and to listen to music. So, yes, no Meta or messaging apps (I haven't put a SIM card in it yet. I WILL use Signal when I finally put in a SIM.) Really liking the camera; it's 4 years than my old Android devices. Lots of progress in computational photography there. Plus...it's about 17 years newer than my newest DSLR, lol.

Unless you plan on carrying about 12 10,000 mAh powr banks with you when you leave your house i woud not consider buying a phone with a tenor or tensro 2 chip, the TDP is shit and the battery life sucks ass , I have the 7 and 7 pro and fail to get even 1.5 hours SOT from either device on agood day brand new out of the box, these phones are worthelss garbage and the lower model A must be even worse , the 7 is probably the worst phone I have used nexus.
the battery drain is absoltely horrendous and it drains at a rate of over 1% per minute , and the pro is not much better either, you might as well take your money and flush it straight down the toilet.

@@andreamitchell4758 I like your idea of taking along a 10,000 mAh charger. However, I do get along without one. Since I don't use rubbish like SIM cards, the battery on my Pixel 6A running Graphene tends to last a whole week without a recharge. I don't like SIM cards...they make a phone into an ankle bracelet. I don't want a ruddy robot or stupid scammer interrupting me whilst I'm out taking pictures. My Pixel is not used for social media or RUclips. It's lighter than any of my DSLRs and is tiny in comparison.

As an iPhone user, I'm unsure how the Google Ecosystem works - with regards to photo storage, does it take up memory on the phone or are they uploaded to Google Photos in the quality they were taken? Obviously 128gb isn't *a lot*

    • @DmanLucky_98

Digital content saves to phone first
Then Google has an auto upload option to save photos and videos to Google Photos from the phone
Just assign what folder to auto save, weekly, monthly or set storage limit and quality, either raw or specific resolution
1st 15GB free on Google Drive
Then you got to pay for extra cloud storage to your Google account
Hope it clears up confusion 😁

Every reviewer talks about apple or phones that don't have an in display fingerprint reader. But never say why it's better. What's so special about that? Is it more secure than the ones on the back of the phone or power button? Is it more secure than apples face unlock? Or is it just a secure gimmick?

I fail to understand why 2 day battery life is worth mentioning. People put the phone on charge throughout the day, there's a charger in the car, there's one at work, and there's one at home. It's ok to charge. Perfectly allowed. Very legal. I do not remember the last time my phone went to 10% charge in the last few years of use, that's considering I kind of work on my phone.

My 4a 5g would easily last into the second day when the phone was new, over time with all the apps installed it achieves 1 day under standard use.
A brand new phone that only lasts a single day is a bit of a turn off. Will it only last half a day in a couple years time?
Side note: I like to keep with the same phone for several years.
