i was looking into the 7a but the brightness kinda turned me off. i play a lot of pokemon go and the sun is bad enough on my Pixel 6 lol. Might bite the bullet and go 7Pro or wait to see what the 8 series offers later this fall.
Hey man I just went from an XS Max to a 13 Pro and was disappointed to find that it still gets so hot in Star Rail that it has big single digit framerate periods of throttling after playing for a few minutes, can you check this on the 14 Pro, say 30 minutes of gameplay on high/120? As well as on the Tensor G2 on the Pixel
@@jorgedelgado8364 exactly. Hopefully the 8 goes back to that size. These phones are getting ridiculous. And we barely watch content on our phones.. Especially at home..
I purchased 2 of this unlocked phone for my wife and myself. It cost $250 each on Amazon prime day. Looks great to me. it’s budget friendly price for overseas use.
Nick seriously you sounding like an IPhone fanboy!! Bro this phone is a budget phone, not a flagship. I got a used Pixel 4A 5G, and am perfectly happy with mine. The Pixel software is just top notch. Cuz I am in the Caribbean, have to wait till price drops, but if ever I need to upgrade, will be going for a Pixel 7A or 7.
They both have the same features. Get the 7a if you want the smallest available pixel phone. The 7 does have a brighter screen tho. The fingerprint sensor is a little bit better on the 7a
@@RajR2000 I don't like glass backs the pixel 7a for myself I managed to get a fantastic deal 329.00 pound sterling,, with a official 30 watt charger from amazon UK new
thats crazy to say the phone doesnt get bright enough, if u compare it to the s23 ultra yes but not a c series phone, its brighter than the a54, u can check gsn arena labtests, it mesured 1038 or so nits while the 54 mesured 980
Any pixel. From the 7 and up. But you really should wait and get the pixel 8 in October. Just my opinion tho. Samsung software is trash and my s23 reboots randomly more than 3 times a day. Nothing beats pixel's software features. You would have to use one to get it!
If you want to go with the flow and conform with the masses go for the efficient IPhone 14 Pro Max. If you want to stand out as an individual and really go your own way go for the feature packed S23 Ultra. You are very blessed to have these two expensive devices to chose from Richard.
@nick Ackerman those bezels are huge enough to fit that punch hole camera lol would have been awesome like sony phones to have an uninterrupted screen experience!
Apparently Google perfectly calibrates their manual display brightness for eye comfort/health reasons , plus probably helps with battery life and reduced chances of OLED screen burn . Adaptive brightness is perfectly ok -1000+ nits
Not for me. You have forgotten the color-aspect. For example, I fell in love with this seablue. I don't like the colors on the 7 at all. Also, the camera bar doesn't stick out that far and I didn't want a glass back wall. You see, there are many small personal reasons that speak for the 7a for me. And I'm sure it's not just me.
For me the Pixel 7a is the WORST PHONE EVER. It constantly crashes or lags, the touch screen often doesn't respond or is very slow. The call quality and network connection is terrible, its a small phone, so small screen size, so smaller keyboard which makes typing more difficult (smaller size can be a positive or negative depending on your point of view). The battery life is miserable, the charging is slow, as in 2010 standards slow. This morning it took 40mins to charge 20%. That was with a cable "fast charging", slow charge gives about 9% in 30mins, wireless charging is even slower (something like 8w) so pretty much pointless. I moved to this phone from a OnePlus 8t which is now about 3 years old and cost the same. It smashes the Pixel 7a in everyway. The only positive and I mean ONLY positive this phone has is the camera. Seriously consider buying another phone, because this one is sub par.
IP rating "SACRIFICE "!!...Explained difference between IP67 and IP68..With an IP67 rating, it can be fully submerged in fresh water to a depth of 0.5m for 30 minutes vs the higher IP68 rating which can tolerate submersion to a depth of 1.5 m for up to one hour. LOL le's explain

I know this phone this is Google pixel 😮
first
This is a great phone, as an iPhone user, I can admit that I am impressed with the pixel 7A
Then use S23 ultra. You will be amazed.
Samsungs try to hard to be elite. Pixels are doing it after being late, and making it look easy.

As an iPhone user, how can you commit about Android?
Pixels from the 6a up to the 7pro are the absolute best phones on the market, and people have only started to realize.
I love this phone. Compact and minimalist but still ticking all the boxes for a solid smartphone experience. 👍
Great review! Hoping the P8 is just a tab bit smaller than the 7a. And Pixels in my opinion are the best looking phones on the market.

You're si informative. Keep it up. Definitely going for the Pixel 7a
Could you share what case, in this video, you purchased to protect the Pixel 7a?
Fantastic video pal! great channel, subscribed!
Great review Nick 👍🏻
Great honest review as always bro
Did they fix the issue with the phone getting very hot while uploading videos ? My pixel 6A gets VERY hot. I don't know if this is worth switching to.
So is the Pixel 7 the same as the 7a? I am still using my 3xl, and I love the features of it. And how are the speakers? Thanks
Not sure if the same. My speakers in the 7a are very clear, but slightly on the treble end. Calls are VERY clear.
I'm planning and hoping to buy the 7A when the price drops
Oh my, I love it❤👍

It's probably the game cause it makes my phone hot and drains battery on my s23u
Ye and G2 isn't the best when it comes to thermals in general
I like my 7a, I just wish it was smaller.
Hopefully the 8 will be a little smaller. Because this s23 isn't cutting it at all for me. Missing my P4a and P5

I just love nick when it comes to phone review ,always waiting for his opinion ❤❤❤❤
What worries me about this device, besides its absurd frames, is heating up and battery drain, Google should fix those problems once and for all.
Its really bright enough with adaptive brightness turned on. In direct sunlight its significantly brighter than my ip14.
Watching this on my 7a from 🇦🇺
Me too, Vic
Your opinions about camera ?
I'm seriously considering this phone but not for $499. I'll wait till Google drops the price because you know they will 😂
Did u mange to get the 399.0 deal with a official Google 30 watt charger plug bundle from Amazon
Yeah, $499 seems overpriced. I bought it for $374 on black friday sale last month. Best value for this price.
It's 230 usd now

Is there a way to add/install an edge panel on the pixel phone?
For some reason I can't log in to my banking apps on this phone. Any idea why?
How's the fingerprint reader after putting on the screen protector? Is it film or tempered glass?
Better to use a clear case. Will protect the screen _and_ the camera lenses.
I'm in a tough spot i have the opportunity to grab the pixel 7 for $99 and the pixel 7a for free, which do you guys recommend?

This phone will not hit the highest brightness unless adaptive brightness is turned on.
The build quality is fantastic and its pointless with glass backs they just offer a break point

I agree Jake, I'm excited to compare it to the 14 Pro soon!

You are the only one to say the battery is good on this phone. Why is that?
The Pixel 7 would be a better purchase. More features and more extended software support. Probably looking better too
In Australia this phone is $750 and the 7 is $999 So it's more than the $100 being quoted on the American market. $250 is quite a gap in pricing.
It has the same exact features and is a little bit smaller.

Lack of a micro sd card tray turns me off. 20 watt charging for a 700 aud phone is rather disappointing given the Chinese competition.
