This channel is going to get huge due to the amount of detail you guys put into every video
Aww cheers Alec 👊
I think you're wrong. Jk I think you're right.
This is probably the most down to earth, best comparison of two phones I've ever seen. Maybe it's just because I agree with everything that was said, but the video is just put together very well all around
That's awesome to hear Ricky - much appreciated 🙏
Exactly
Of the zillion video reviews on the Pixel, this is by far the most believable and the most practical. Keep up the great work! Subs!
Thanks Narendran!
I totally agree. I love my pixel 6a. I dont need wireless charching and higher refreshrate. And the camera is not that big difference. I love the more compact and lighter feel of the 6a
I've seen too many comparison videos but this, this is something else. The amount of detail and how the video has been put together overall, just amazes me. Keep going guys!
Cheers!
Awesome video, really appreciate the effort and depth you guys put into your work! Going to change from my 4a to a 6a in the Black Friday sale! Thank you!
Great comparison video - I couldn't decide on the 7 or 6a - this video really helped - going with the 6A.
Thanks a lot :D it helped me make a decision on buying the 6a. The fact that you really spoke to what we as users normally do with the phones was the best thing I saw in a review because it talked directly to me so I wish the best of luck and hope you either maintain the same quality or blow my mind with other cool things that you 2 come up with.
Thanks Dorin for taking the time to share this! We're glad it helped make a purchase decision. Welcome to the channel 😃
Good call guys. I'm sticking with my P6 waiting to see what the P8 will bring. Cheers!
Congrats for a very practical video. Such minute details really help the consumers. Feature by feature comparision shows that minor upgrades don't really matter but good money can be saved. Thanks. Good luck for next one.
Thanks Naresh!
Excellent channel and personalities. The Humor, the positivity quite new for youtube.
Thanks!
Folks, you are amazing! The delivery and the quality of the review is outstanding. I am glad you got into my recommended channels!
Thank you Eduardo!!
Great findings, and excellent review as a whole! This was enjoyable to watch.
This got to be the most useful and instructive comparison video i've seen on youtube. I have ordered the pixel 6a yesterday, i will receive it on the 20th March. Your video comforts me that i did a good choice by buying the 6a.
Thank you, guys. You are amazing.
I just picked up a 6a last week to replace an older Motoroaly G7 Power , I will say that th ebattery life on the G7 power is far better, as wel as fast charging, but that is it, the Pixel 6a thus far has easily outperformed the older G7 I had and personally like you guys mentioned I actually found the smaller display on 6a to be refreshing and it fits nicely in your pocket- Not going to mention the camera on the 6A as thats noted almost everywhere and hands down a great performer esp at the price- oh speaking of which I picked up my 6A for 249.00 US and tax. I was going to wait and try a 7A but at the price differnce I am glad to see I have choosen wisely! Nice review guys!
I have a question - is the difference in shutter speed really noticeable in a regular practical way or it is not that much of an issue on Pixel 6 series when it comes to taking low light pictures?
Thanks for your appreciation of the Pixel 6A. As a person that just purchased one here in the U.S., the price point versus performance features, was an elegant tradeoff. Very nice to see shared sentiment. My 6a replaced a broken (touch screen failure no cracked screen) Pixel 4a. That was a step up with battery life and processor speed.
Thanks for sharing!
Good content guys. Definitely subbing and I wonder where they will stop making heaters for phones lol
This is good content. I'm sitting here debating trading in my 4a for one of these phones while they are on sale, approx. $150 separating them. I appreciate you chose the 6a and not just push consumers to the "technically" better device.
I don't know which one i want to choose.
the price difference is 100 Euro.
@Drive Car it's on cristmas sale here.
It's 300 for 6a and 400 for the 7
Leuke video! Ik heb de Pixel 7 gekocht afgelopen week. Camera is fantastisch!
Nice ! Based upon your findings, and ultimately what is important to you, I agree with your decision. The only concern I might have is the front glass. I've had (still have in drawer) Pixel 3A and 4A's with broken screens. Soooooo, if the glass on the 7 were a true upgrade, I may go with the 7. The one issue for me with Pixel phones is screen brightness....even the 7P7 is not bright enough outdoors in Florida sun. Hopefully all brands will have a flagship which rivals the iP14P, in terms of brightness.
I'm assuming you've already made your decision already, but my suggestion still holds true.... get yourself a tempered glass screen protector, I highly recommend a Whitestone Dome, RhinoShield, or Zagg (I've found those to be the best fitment overall over all phones), you won't even notice it's there, and you can forget about ever damaging your phone's screen, and those mentioned are just as scratch and crack resistant as the best Gorilla glass, and if anything ever happens, you can just replace it for a couple bucks, your phone screen will be unscathed underneath. Even if you've had your phone a few months already and have a few slightly noticable faint scratches on it, tempered glass screen protectors will usually (with their adhesive layer) cover up those scratches and it'll look like you have a brand new screen.
I'm really loving my pixel 7 (I've had every mainline pixel except for the 3) I think it's a step up from the 6 but I totally understand why someone would just go wit the 6 or 6a
Finally a review addressing all my concerns ... thank you !!
Bravo! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Nice realistic review DHRME! 👊🏻 Keep it up!
Nice comparision! I think one of the photos was taken in a wonderful german town called Heidelberg.
Sharp eye!
Like you I prefer to have a phone that's not too big, it's disappointing that the 6a has an inferior glass protection but I use a wallet style case so hopefully this will mitigate the older glass protection. Just ordered a 6a and it should arrive tomorrow!
Totally agree with your choice. I recently made the same choice for my wife's new phone. Picture of the 6A like my son and I have. I do agree with one of the other posters below. I thought the fingerprint scanner on the back was much better on my 3A and my son's 4A.
What about call quality, signal reception audio speakers or earphones output ? Missing subjects ?
I went to Best buy to feel these IRL and the 6A felt cheaply made, so I went with the 7. I miss how small and light my Xperia 5 ii was but the camera on the 7 is great
Do you guys know any way to do screen mirroring on any smart TV without Chrome cast ?
Excellent review!
Excellent review and comparison. Everything important was covered. Thanks Guys!!
Cheers William!
Great review! I think I’m leaning towards the Pixel 7.
Good comparisons. Definitely gave it away at the beginning when talking about your size preference.
Are Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 sized evenly as well as the 6a and 7a in its inevitable release. That will probably be a better comparison if so. Price-wise also.
Goedemiddag! Nice video! I totally agree with you. I am using the pixel 6a for three month and I am really happy with it. I got some beautiful pictures out of it, the battery lasts almost two days for me (thanks to smart battery), it feels fast and the screen is bright and colorful. There is really nothing to complain. When the pixel 7 launched I give it a thought but I did not like that it is a bit bigger. Over the refrech rate: the pixel 6a has the same 60hz refrech rate as an much more expensive iphone 14 plus. But I have used the pixel 4xl for a few years and I set the refrech rate from 90hz back to 60hz to safe battery. Really I could not tell the difference. It depends on what you are using it for I think. The fingerprint sensor is clearly not the best on both pixel devices. But why is nobody mentioning the SMART LOCK function that every pixel offers. I use it all the time with mij Fossil gen 6 smartwatch. When I am near my phone it stays unlocked. Why not? That is so much better than using the fingerprint or face unlock (with the pixel 7). Keep up the good work guys. Groeten uit Zevenaar! 😉
Dankjewel- Smart Lock is indeed a great feature!
OMG, What a great comparison! Thanks a lot! Love from Bangladesh❤
Google really needs to make a 6.1" flagship like Samsung and Apple.
YES!
I would 100% buy this
6.0" pls. Form factor of pixel 5 is the best i think.
@@KuyaYen or 5.8. Pixel 4A moment. But then again, I’m a small guy with small hands
@@elith6930 let's just go back to 2008 at 4.5
Very nice comparison! Keep it up guys! +1 :)
a hug from brazil, this video was amazing, better than anything I've seen before, great job!
Wow, thank you!

Welcome to the channel Steven 🙏
Love you guys such great reviews!
Thanks Josh!
3:01 👍 Right on. I think the real reason for the Tensor chip is for copyright protection on their software. All of that information about it being better for AI purposes is bunk.
hii, im thinking in buy an google 6a, currently i have a iphone xr, do u guys think is worth the upgrade? *principal in camera*
Finally a channel that provides a definite opinion with well presented research. Thank you guys, just discovered you and subscribed!
Welcome to the channel!
Great detailed review 👍👍👍👍
Coz of you im proud to have 6a and my 1st impression and im sure everybody noticed about it about 6a is “ when you hold this phone in for 1st time “ ❤❤❤
Does it have heating issues ? Especially when recording videos?
Thank you this helped a lot!!🎉
Informational, honest, chilling, and you guys got personality without being artificial. Nice video!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Pretty much 100% with you on build & design
Namaste from India ! I am planning to buy a pixel device. I am more keen towards the 6a as it will be pocket friendly for me. However i saw many videos lately highlighting the heating issues of the 6a , specially when the camera is on for videos. Can it be a deal breaker ? Does it really heat that much?
Hasn't been a major issue in our opinion. Using the camera a lot does heat it up though.
Excellent assessment. 6a is now $299 in US on Googles website. At that price, it’s a no brainer.
Great review.
I recently got my Pixel 6a.
and its indeed a bang for the buck phone for me.
i dont care about 90hz and Wireless charging.
battery Life is great.
what i do miss is head phone jack but not a deal breaker
I need it for camera and normal usage should i go for Pixel 6 or Pixel 7? love ur video
I'm still indecisive on whether to get the 6a or 7 once the Google deals roll out next week. I'm not much for wireless charging, quick charging isn't an issue for me, the only thing I'm worried about is performance, 6gb vs 8gb, tensor vs tensor 2 chip, 12mp vs 50mp. Apart from that, I don't see much of a difference, either would be a huge upgrade for me.
In the same boat. $300 vs $500 weighing the prices on the deals, they're both great deals and it's a tough choice.
I think in the long run (like 3+ years) P7 is going to fare better. 6a is already one Android generation behind. The new 50mp in P7 will be utilised to a fuller potential going forward while the old 12MP on 6a is likely the best it can ever be. Front facing camera is also better in P7.
I was in the same place roughly two weeks ago. But being somebody who keeps phones as long as possible, I decided that the pixel7 might be better long term, so I ordered the 7.
Planning on buying neither one of them, but just watched it because your videos are great.
Haha thanks Anup!
Fantastic Explanation and Comparison 💙
Dude You Got A New subscriber From Dhaka,Bangladesh
Thank you Kazi
Great work.. just what i was looking..you guys have new subscriber
Excellent comparison for midrange mobile phones need to carry 😍😍👏👏👏👏
this video was great but I was planning on getting the 7 as there's a discount and a deal that offers free pixel buds if I get either of the 7s (and the 7 is v affordable compared to the pro).
I've never had a pixel before (strictly a samsung user) and was thinking this would be my first but now I'm debating if I should just go for the galaxy A54 (also w free buds).
Great review. Thanks!
Cheers Sam 🙏
I've had both and for me the Pixel 7 without any doubt is the clear choice. Faster, more well made and better photo quality.
but too big and heavy. The 6a feels more compact and lighter
@@s.d.r1062 Weight of a device is a personal thing from person to person tho
@@kop1986 true
Which one of the device you have returned it sir
What about Pixel 6 Pro vs Pixel 7 at the same price? (current discount in Australia)
You got me with that "pop, pop, popsicle, test, test, test...." 🤣 I think you probably got every native English speaking person with that one 😅
Great video! Appreciate the honest feedback from you guys. You got a new sub.
Great overview. How about a gaming test?
Great review! The light weight of the plastic phone is an important advantage for me but I also way the wireless charging. Your review really helped. What do you think? Which phone will I choose?
Did you guys experience any network issues with either phones? Seen a lot of Reddit threads on it.
Thats what i call an honest review - thanks!
Had the 4A 5G and the only reason I upgraded was that Google made it ridiculously cheap in the USA to upgrade to the 6A. With trade in it should be $109 for the Pixel 6A. What I don't love is the fingerprint sensor on the screen. It was so much better and more responsive on the back of the phone than on the glass. The camera is to be determined so thank you for your great comparison and information.
So in your experience is there any difference in camera performance?? Even slightly
@@VillageMilkandSweet yes it's slightly better than the 4a but still not as good as the iphone camera
@@JeffreySchreider I have compared 6a to iphone 11 in photos and 6a is clear winner and the other hand in videography iphone is far better
6A. I've always went with the A phones for the reason. Googles budget models offer a lot. You'd have to really be in love with the features of a 7.
What about the modem?
My understanding is the 6a shares the same modem as the rest of the Pixel 6 line-one that has a reputation for connection issues?
Have you noticed that issue?
Which one is better s21fe or pixel 7 ?
You noticed any difference in signal strength?
So in summary, you find the Pixel 7 marginally better in most aspects apart from the smaller size and dual colour on the 6a... but you pick the 6a nonetheless. If the question is whether you'll upgrade from the 6a to the 7, I'll stick with the 6a. If however the question is which you'll buy outright at retail price, the 7 is the better phone option in my opinion, and value-wise, it will be supported a year longer than the 6a.
7 vs 6a are you kidding? . It's a big difference in almost all specs. Yes 7 vs 6 is marginally low difference.
that price difference though
@@jmanakajosh9354 In my country right now its 450 euro vs 900 😅
@@arum6883 Wow, literally twice the price
Support will be equal. 6A was released in summer 2022...
Thing I want most is a decent dac (ESS Sabre quad dac is fine). 3.5mm headphone socket would be great too.
But at the very least aptx lossless support
Facts on top of facts it has been inferior sense Android 2
Really great and in depth review Guys! Love the segways, side by sides, and honest/real life take on things. I am also a fan of slow charging and lighter plastic. But i prefer finger unlock to face unlock.
Cheers Josh! So the 6a is for you?
@@DHRME It does look that way!
Outsantig comparison, good job.
6a is the best deal. 330 € vs 570€ over here but i really use the zoom-tele outdoors and the more megapixels(digital zoom), brighter lens and better ois can make a difference here. I know p7p is the best on tele but too big, too expensive
The pixel 5 size it's just perfect. Hope they can make another phone that size and dimensions. I have pixel 7 too.
Whatever people choose between these pixels, everyone must agree that was a solid and well compiled content here
Just bought a 6a to replace a 3XL (which I really liked). I got it new for $150. Gonna miss the physical fingerprint scanner which worked beautifully on the 3XL. And I’m a little worried about it not having wireless charging because the charging port on my 3 broke, and had it not had wireless charging I would have been screwed. There’s still time to change my mind and get a 7 for $350. Is it worth $200 more? Hmmm…
Great video guys.
Cheers Mayank 👊
Watching this on my 6A and grinning coz most of the so called upgraded featured in pixel 7 are not much of use for me in day to day life. Let's see what they do with 7A. I reckon it's again going to be a phone which will garner mixed reviews from the youtubers but in reality would still be a solid, smooth device. Google can fix almost all the issues they have faced in 6 and 7 series and make a near perfect Mid range phone when they launch 7a but they are too smart in not messing with the sales of the flagship device.
Does 6a have multi tasking screen like 7?
thanks for this video, very interesting.
I want to shoot videos outdoors and I feel like the 7 would be better as soon as lighting problems arise. I might be shooting at dawn or dusk so I think I would rather spend a little more for the 7.
One question please....is there any rainbow effect on the 6a? thank you. BTW great vid
None that we've seen!
do you think prices for the 6a will decrease even more once the 7a is out? (probably end of July like last year)
Makes sense. Or the 7a gets priced higher and the 6a stays where it is. Also likely.
7:56 I want to point out that while GG3 came out in 2013, glass tech IMO doesn’t really matter much; if it’s glass, it WILL shatter. It WILL get scratched. I use an iPhone 14 Pro Max and I own a Pixel 6a for my Android experiences and I STILL slap on screen protectors on all my devices, no matter what kind of glass is being used.
This was a very well done video guys, give yourself a pat on the back for how well presented it all was
Cheers 👊
Pixel 7 vs oneplus 10t?
You can't go wrong either way, but one advantage that the Pixel 7 has is the lossless 2x zoom. It is the value-add with which I am finding the most joy. Super rez zoom plus the lossless 2x makes even the maximum 8x zoom incredibly usable in daylight for quick snaps. Before I upgraded from the Pixel 6, I thought the better front facing camera would be the most significant change, but nope. It's definitely lossless zoom.
That's the Pixel 7 Pro. Unfortunately not there on the 7.
@@DHRME The Pixel 7 has the lossless 2X zoom. It's a sensor crop as opposed to a separate lens. It's the same feature that Apple is using on their main camera for 2x on their pro phones.
It was actually the first thing that I tested when I got the Pixel 7 vs my outgoing Pixel 6.
I've had a 6a for almost a year. It's been a good phone except twice in the last month it wouldn't charge and I had to take it in to get the charging port cleaned. I'm seriously considering the Pixel 7 to have a wireless charging option for backup.
You guys put a great video together. Where are you based?
Good review guys, i had almost the same experience when i "upgraded"from my afordable chinese POCO F3 to a more expensive Samsung 21FE..
in theory the samsung would be the better Phone, however the only thing wich is better seems to be the camera set ( since the poco has no dedicated tele) the proccesor is on paper also faster but the samsung software cripples it .
So i end up still using both phones , for different purpeses.
I think that we are coming along way to the end of smartphone development so that the law of diminishing returns is getting a grip on the phone market, so unless your battery craps out on you, it is no longer needed to by very expensive phones.
Your spot on there mate. It's just for.peopke who want the latest mobile .
Goedendag
Goedenavond 👋
I prefer the color/style of 6 series compared to 7. It's a shame that their face unlock is not on par with pixel 4....
most people wear case on their phone so color style they dont care
@@s.d.r1062 I get ya. But it matters to me lol
@@k8chillx and thats o.k. I like the Sage colour also
Well I purchased the 6a over a week ago since the price dropped to USD 300. Of course I watched over 10 videos to make sure I was making the right purchase since it has to last me for a while. All videos have said about the same, that it's a good device. Since I'm on 3a right now, the 6a is more than enough for me plus the price was really good.
Does it have heating issues?? I saw many videos saying it heats up when using the camera, specially while recording videos
I picked the 6a.
- Lower cost.
- Lighter in weight, easier to pick up, pocketable.
- Looks better i think.
- 60Hz means the battery lasts longer.
- I'm not a gamer and don't need a top of the line processor nor an extra +2GB of ram.
- The camera bar does not stick out. It can sit flat on the table.
- Would have appreciated a higher megapixel camera as i often want to zoom in to see things in the picture.
- Would have appreciated wireless charging, but not with the increase in weight.
Just picked up the 6a.. This is my first pixel and the price was perfect for me just starting out in the ecosystem
Does it have any heating issues when the camera is on? Or while charging? I saw a couple of youtube reviews stating these
@@007pappu good question.
