I was waiting for the 7a to come out for what felt like a long time. Then right before it did, the 7 went on sale for less than the 7a. I was apprehensive, for some reason, but i got the 7. I guess i am glad i did. I got 150 for my 3a trade in, and checked again once the 7a came out what they'd have given me for my 3a, and it was only 38 dollars! Lol, in a span of 2 weeks. So yea, i made the right choice. Got my 7 for 300 total.

While Google covered it under warranty I still stopped off at an att store and they had a deal on the 7A. They found a way to add a line and sell me the phone for $2 / month. IT also lowered by monthly total bill by $23 a month . Basically I lowered by cost per month by $20 including the $2 per month pay out for the phone. Now I'll have a great back up for my 7. winner, winner.

Great video post, but I'd still go with the 7a cuz of its thinner camera bump and the sturdy plastic back. Pixel 7 camera bump seems unnecessarily huge and more like a hammer. Its glass back is a finger print magent and cracks easier if you drop it down. The 7a fits better in your hand/pocket without much sacrifice on the screen size.

Ok, dude, here's a like and immediate sub on a first video of yours i watched, and here's why - finally, freakin' finally someone to properly address the real deal with how glass scratch resistance vs glass drop, ie impact resistance ACTALLY work IRL, and how one actually kinda cancels the other. I'm sick and tired of more famous RUclipsrs , and yes, you probably know which ones i mean - when they only focus on scratch and bend resistance, and grade the phone overall durability on these alone, when actually "scratchier" and "bendier" is more likely to survive drop and impacts then the rigid and more scratch resistant one. They kinda mislead people, IMHO. Great work!

I got a pixel 7a even though it was a bit more expensive than the regular 7. I found the speakers and camera superior on the pixel 7a and that's the two most important things for me.

The thing is that, "just 100" dollars higher is not "just 100" dollar for some people LOL. No hard feelings. anyway... the 7a is not worth buying if not discount, but if price drop, that tells a different story.

the plastic back on the 7a puts me off and Victus is only slightly more scratch resistant than Gorilla glass 3!
    7 newton vs 8 newton
Victus 2 is between 8 to 10 the original Victus is 7 to 10 so they are quite similar.
gorilla glass 5 and gorilla glass 6 scratch deeper at 4 newtons
I would be happy with victus or gorilla glass 3!! on my device I have never ever scratched a phone using gorilla glass 3!! it was far the best!!
gorilla glass 4 and 6 are garbage probably why gorilla glass 5 is used more than GG4 or GG6 today........

Wireless charging will work through a case, as long as the case isn’t extremely thick.
