This is one of my favorites. I've watched it many times. I love gliding over the clouds. You really feel that you are up there by yourself.
20 years ago, circled above Chicago for over an hour with similar clouds waiting for a storm to clear, finally dove into the clouds for a night landing....

L'aéroport de Chicago est plus compliqué au roulage que pour l'approche apparemment... well done guys. Merci encore Guillaume pour ces vidéos très enrichissantes pour un personnel au sol et gestionnaire d'affectation de parkings comme moi, à bientôt.
Finalement, c’est plus facile en l’air qu’au sol ! Superbe vidéo. J’ai vraiment aimé l’approche au-dessus du lac.

Sans doute une de mes préférées ! Superbes images, on ressent l’implication de l’équipage, la tension dans le cockpit et la nécessaire coordination flying/monitoring/comATC... je crois que j’ai presque autant flippé que le FO ! Et que dire du taxi, on comprend pourquoi le Line training se fait à KORD 👍

Video instructive de l'approche, de la finale, du roulage de l'échange équipage et du "first officer" en formation... On peut constater la charge de travail au niveau de l'approche et la rapidité d'élocution du contrôleur US... Beau travail messieurs👍😉✈️

J'aurais toujours une certaine appréhension sur la piste. L 'accident de "Los Rodeos" (Ténérife) m'est resté dans la gorge, il y a pourtant bien longtemps de ça ( et je ne suis qu'un pilote de vol à voile). Un grand merci pour ce magnifique partage.

Oh la la. That’s why those planes aren’t flown solo. Great landing though. Always amazing how many details must be covered while the plane hurtles forward towards its final destination.

Beautiful pictures on approach. Chicago ground was very clear, even I could follow their instructions!
It is their job. In one of the San Francisco AC incidents the ATC even tried to show a red warning light outside the ATC windows. It is an old school means to alert pilots to a snap decision to close the runways. Unfortunately the flight deck did not confirm that as they were radio silent on approach. They nearly collected another plane's rear fin in the process of landing.
