Another good mutter TAYM and much to think about. Every year the prices drop in the winter. I paid X for my Moto Guzzi and four months later the price dropped by a few hundred £s. Well I bought the bike at a price I thought was fair at the time. I didn't buy it as an investment to sell a year later. . A question for you:- You have ridden the classic 350 and the Triumph 400, ignoring looks and style, consider how the engine makes you feel. Is the 350 soft and fluffy and the Triumph hard and urgent. Or how do they compare and which is the 'nicer' ride?
Morning Mr TAYM. I agree wholeheartedly about Royal Enfield (as we chatted about the other day), they cocked up when they sacked motoGB. I am still waiting for Clementine’s replacement speedo 🙄, which was requested last August (I think). As for rust, well, Clementine has done two winters now, and I can’t find any rust on her, but I do properly prepare her for winter riding. I agree that the shotgun looks like a SM with normal riding position, and that all they need to add, is a bit of bling and “hey presto” you have a “Classic” ! We all know that manufacturers are designing a base vehicle, and then just modifying it to change the type, look at the Honda 500 twins. CB500 Hornet / CBR500 / CB500X etc. It is the most economical way of creating a bike to suit “almost” everyone. RE have obviously decided to take the same approach. The new 450 engine, is destined for many different versions too, with a Hunter and Scram being rumoured. For us in the UK though, they really need to get the after sales sorted, as we are beginning to lose confidence in the brand, even without the MotoGB debacle.
Perhaps every time you chase up what's happened to your speedo,a man at royal Enfield check's your latest video and see's your speedo working and shouts too others, put Mr Hughes to the back of the que 😂
I’ve lost money on my Royal Enfield, not a problem. The bike cost less brand new than the depreciation on my last bike over 3 years. If I throw it away after 3 years, It’s still cheaper. I’ve had no rust yet, but then I treat it like a 1980s bike so it gets cleaned regularly.

Interesting video thank you 👍🏻 I’m very much hoping they put that 400 single engine into a twin shock frame with a bench seat and spoked wheels and T100 styling… fingers firmly crossed 🤞🏻
The key seems to be take your time test ride a few . And get the bike right for you . Try to please both Head and Heart and get it right . Keep it a good while jobs a good one .. Excellent mutter by the way
Great mutter and very true about trade in prices. Even the service some of these dealers provide is unreal. The days of chopping and changing are coming to an end, I think . You just have to make sure the bike you get is the one, and that's bloody hard because what's right now might not be next year.
What about National Government putting Rego prices up $50 & 12cents a Liter. They always put Rego price up & latter government lowers it back again. That will push bike Rego up to $570 per bike a year🤯🤬.
Tell me about it RR. Thinking about going back to one bike. Not sure what yet. The new suzuki GSX 8R is leading at the moment. But it will be hard to let the classic go, so I'm sitting on the fence at the moment m8
@@iantownsend17 My mates Dad thinking about giving HIS 1976 AMF Harley Davidson electric start a rebuild & using that as it's older than 40yrs & Rego only about $45 a year. This Government is the worst we've had The 3 Stooges🤣,PM claiming 52k a year when he can live in PM house for free🤯.
@@iantownsend17 Suzuki look like they might be releasing a GS 650 75hp modern retro I saw on video earlier tonight looks good if you interested but won't be released for awhile no doubt.Honda also meant to be releasing the GB 750 using Hornet engine & is modern classic & looks great.
Way back in the 70’s depreciation was a big subject because here in the US Japanese bikes were worthless once purchased. I’ve never based a purchase on depreciation. A riding friend, about 7 years ago, bought a very expensive German made bike with loads of extras thinking he had an investment bike. The next year the manufacturer made all the “extras” standard and dropped the price by over $10,000 USD! He tried to sell it a few years later and no dealer would take it in trade as they said they couldn’t move them. On the private marked the offers weren’t even 10% of what he paid. Lesson learned. Oh HD dropped the price of some 24s hers so that a 23 is now over priced and if you own a 23 you took a big hit. Now if you’re buying a new RE you’re a very happy camper.
Morning TAYM, I reckon the Giraffe will like the Triumph , as it's tall ,and it's front legs are a similar colour ! 😅 👍 Glad I traded my Interceptor for my classic 350 last year, I got a good price for it and at the time there was £300 off the classic! If they do a classic 650 it would have to have the same seat style as the 350 , I don't like the straight one piece seat they'd probably put on it , but the thing is the 350 is so good and manageable, I wouldn't want to part with it? Must say as for corrosion I had my Interceptor for three years of all year riding and it didn't rust any worse than my other bikes through the winter months, but I do clean them regularly and spray protectant on them .. Interesting topical mutter, Cheers Mel 🍻
I have two Enfields a Himalayan 2019 brought with 650 miles on it in 2020 for 4500 and a 2022 classic 350 with 11 miles on it for 3400. I will hang on to mine. I have to say both of mine have been brilliant with only a couple of issues on the Himalayan. I have now done 5000 miles on the Himmy and 1200 on the classic both seem OK. I guess I could get 3k for the classic and 2500 for himmy ish. I think I will keep them as its not huge sums of money and love both. I am looking to get a bit more powerfull bike to add to the team but it will be 2nd hand lol
Yes, the majority of RE have no issues at all 😁 I think it is worth mentioning that RE make around a million bikes a year 😁 quality control is pretty good but with that number some rouges are going to escape 😁 thanks Peter 😁
A great mutter Mr Taym I like the 400x but has everybody says keep what you have got unless you can get a good deal. To many models coming out at the moment, ride safe and keep the videos coming 😊 👍
I think what defines a Royal Enfield Classic is the headlight nacelle along with the rear fender supports. But I hate to see Royal Enfield go the way of Harley Davidson where each little change in trim package is marketed as a new bike.
The market was corrupted during the covid madness, manufacturers could sell anything to an insatiable buying public...now less than desirable quality control, market saturation, buyer remorse, higher cost of living among other things is the new reality. Lower demand so down go the prices. Thanks TAYM.
I lost 50% of the value of my BMW1250 over 4 years, but Australia is a much smaller market than the UK so that might have something to do with it. The Beemer was a brilliant bike but I’m now 65 and it was just a bit big and heavy for me. The Speed Twin 1200 is a much more appropriate size for me, for now at least. If I look into my crystal ball, something like the Speed 400 might be a more appropriate size in my 70s. (And I wonder if those nappies will fit inside my riding jeans when I need them?)
Another great mutter, it was good to see the 400x used for your commute, looked excellent again. Interesting comments on the REs, I can understand the frustrations, but overall I think nearly all RE owners will get good value for money from their ownership. They are not for me but still sound for a lot of people.
I'm not so sure 2nd hand Royal Enfield prices will be going up anytime soon. Their 350's are a little too slow now that the Triumph 400's have hit the market, and just more competition in this segment means prices will remain low. The new Himalayan is quite expensive for Royal Enfield, so I'm not sure it will sell in the numbers of the old ones. Interesting times ahead for RE now there is competition in the budget segment from more than just the Chinese manufacturers. I guess they will have to accept that they are not going to sell in the same numbers as they have been in recent years.
😲 "Unsubscribe immediately!!" shouts Mrs Mo. "Why?" said l in disbelief. "He's totally blanked Giraffe again!" 🤦♂️ It's ok TAYM, she's now sedated and having a lay down 😂👍. Keep on muttering. Regards, Mo 😊
After just testing the super meteor, I won’t test the shotgun as it’s too similar tbh. Many times it’s just a paint colour and hey we have a new bike 😂 I think tbh most of the riders that will buy the lower cc bikes like the new triumph 400’s will be older folk like us. Problem is the gov are not interested in bikes or enabling younger gen to ride bikes.
as for the r.e. resale values -- if you see something selling like hot cakes then obviously the market will peak , and when the next years model or colour scheme comes along people upgrade - so there is a sudden glut , the moral is don't buy if you cannot afford to lose ;;;;
Interesting stuff !! Does this mean I need to get a second bike instead of selling my meteor, and will the mrs let me get away with it? The giraffe didnt look happy at being blanked either. 😅 I like the look of both Triumph 400s, I'd like a go on both, I like the x but it might be too tall for me shortarse that I am. Keep up the good work 👍🦒
You had the answer, if you want the value of your royal Enfield to hold it's price better, hang on to it , if most owners did this the second hand value would hold, people would have to buy new in turn the new prices then would increase then that helps the second hand price, long and short of it if you buy a new royal Enfield keep it for 3 years coming up to MOT then if you sell you can't lose to much as they were so cheap to buy in the first place 😊
My local royal Enfield dealer was offering 3 gears free servicing on new bikes to counteract the motogb pricing, to be honest I thought that was more tha5fair and would make sticking with the authorised dealer worthwhile. The parts issue for warranty work seems to be an ongoing issue, it almost seems like the motogb contract came for renewal and RE decided at the last minute to bring distribution back in house without really having a plan, anyhow lovely bikes for the money
A bonus midweek mutter , marvelous 😂 I saw the Norty poster and I think it's disgraceful ! That bike has NO CENTRESTAND ! Poor girl is having to balance the thing . On another subject and to paraphrase Big Halsy , " 'sickles is an expensive toy " . Yep motorcycles are an expense . Once you've bought them , the money is gone . If you can't enjoy the bike because of the money you've spent , you are in a bad place . Maybe another hobby would suit you . I just saw the answer on RUclips . Become an " influencer " , ride bikes for free ( and get your own neglected piece of junk repaired for free ) and fly like Peter Pan around the world Nice work if you can get it .
I think these 400’s from triumph will hold their money better than RE atm. Looking at the Scram 411 compared to the 400X nearly double the BHP, ok it’s a grand more but I think I would prefer the triumph. Fab natter cheers 🍻
The problem is that we, as consumers, have forgotten that you don't get 'owt for nowt and Royal Enfields are good bikes but they are built to a price and that has to affect the quality somewhere in the extras or the choice of materials. In fairness to Royal Enfield they are not alone in the world of diminishing residuals on the second hand market of both cars & bikes so although the moto gb issue is a thing I don't think it is the only thing. I reckon those of us who have bought any new car or bike in the last 2 or 3 years just have to face up to the fact that we have lost a chunk of change because manufacturers have had to discount new bikes in order to survive.
“How do you make an effective scrambler for short people?” A very good question Mr TAYM. That’s life. If your bike needs plenty of ground clearance it can’t also have a low seat.
The KTM 1290 SA solved that issue to an extent. A person doesn’t have to be 6’ 2” to reach the deck with the later models. Not a scrambler but a more capable bike.
In Brazil one interceptor new cost 5096 euros final price, on door you talk I believe. A classic 350 new 3.762 and one scrambler 400x 5584 (today cotation on google. But the triumph end user service is much above royal enfild. I do not think 1 second to get a triumph instead a royal enfild.
I've lost many, many tens of thousands in motorcycle depreciation over the years, i just think of it as part of the cost of my motorcycle addiction and passion. Although it does work out ok sometimes, my XSR9 i traded in last summer and got £5.5K for it. Considering i paid £7K new for it back in 2017, i cant complain about 1500 quid depreciation over 6 years. I've heard the depreciation can be really bad on RE's, but that will never affect me as they're not my thing. You mentioned centre stands. It used to really annoy me how they rarely were fiitted as standard these days, only as an expensive option. Sometimes couldn't be fitted at all. But i've become used to it now, and just prop a foot long section of 2"x2" under the offside swing arm. No big deal to me anymore.
Depreciation is a nasty fact of life though the motoGB fiasco hasn't helped Royal Enfield owners. As a previous Interceptor owner I actually think the Shotgun is the best of the RE 650's though their home market would probably like the looks of a classic model. The Triumph 400 scrambler would definitely be of interest if I ever wanted a smaller bike than my T100.
I perfer Japanese bikes tbh, there's already reports from riders in India of these new 400s being unreliable. Bikes made in India and China do seem to seem to lose their value. Hard to beat Honda for reliability.
It seems that Royal Enfield has been the RUclipsr darling for a couple of years now. Is the allure of RE maybe cooling off for the moment? If they release a Classic 650, I may have to delay retirement!!😂😂😂
As a customer. I wouldn't complain about cheaper prices. I would just buy a second Interceptor; 😁😁preferably second hand 👍👍. One for the city and one for the country. if I had a R.E. 350 however, I might wish that I had waited for a Triumph 400X 👍.
If you ask me, to buy or sell? Buy and keep it till the wheels fall off unless you don't use it anymore. If it has no value (use) then sell it. If it's a bad bike or car, trade it in. 😊
Triumph look to have a great budget bike in the Speed and Scrambler 400's if I had not bought my CL500 (Short persons scrambler 😂) would be a great deal. The RE deals are great at the moment, the wife even thinks I should get a Classic 350 after trying one as a pillion whilst they have the old MotoGB stock discounted, so looks like an RE is going to have a space in the garage :) Tough for those who have seen the value plummet, however they seem to be the type of bike that you keep.
I think if you buy new either on pcp or cash you will lose as you say a chunk of money. Buying nearly new used to be the best option but now 2nd hand prices at the dealers are rising so there’s not much price difference. If you can buy a Classic or Hunter 350 2nd hand for 3.5 k then I think that’s good value. With these Triumphs are in short supply their values should hold up for a while.
I think you could look at it the other way and think to yourself, that you bought a relatively cheap bike (if you bought a Classic 350) and it might have lost a few hundred pounds over a short period but you can ride it in all seasons for 3 years, then practically afford to give it away and buy another second hand `garage queen` with a few hundred miles on the clock and start over.
Well there you go my suspicions confirmed about RE, its put me off buying one for the foreseeable future . its a shame as they do have a certain charm about them but quality comes at a price .An old saying , buy cheap buy twice .
I moved on from RE due to lack of quality control. I almost put as many miles on mine taking it back and forth to the dealership for warranty work as I did riding it for pleasure. Over time the situation got old enough to justify taking the financial hit and trying again with a 400x.
I don’t buy bikes to sell 9 months later or what their resale value is. Seems really common these days people swap bikes like underwear which for me means they’ve bought the wrong bike Love the bike I have (classic 350 2 years now no rust) and like most of my bikes and cars will run it until its uneconomical to repair.
Exactly, I was thinking back to my previous bikes🤔 I had my GTR for about 4years, my gen1 trophy similar, likewise my Daytona 1000 and my gen1 Vstrom the same 🤔 now I seem to change them quicker than my pants 😁 very good point 😁 thanks track 😁
you seem to be in a hurry on that bike ,= where as on bertie the pace of life is slower , thats the trouble with quicker vehicles , you feel like you need to use the go go ;;
You loose tax and vat as soon as you wheel anything out of the showroom!. Use it for a year and you can see where the loss comes from!!. Enfield warranty if its anything major is non existant i bought one off the last clasic 500s it developed a knocking sound in the engine Enfield did not want to know full stop!. I sold it at a huge loss. I would never touch another one with a barge pole.
Thanks Steven 😁 yes, it’s part of life but with the Enfields it has artificially been brought down because of a deliberate act by RE carried out without any thought for dealers or existing owners😁 Still, for new purchasers, they can buy a new interceptor for less than a year old one, which is brilliant 😁 the warranty issue remains a concern though🤔
@TAYM yes the warranty issue with Royal Enfield is getting worse!. Colchester motorcycles are doing 350 demo bikes for £2999 which makes you wonder if they are going to keep selling the things!!.Apparently they are having bad warranty issues in the States as well! Not very confidence inspiring for potential Enfield buyers!. Another problem is resale if you buy a 350 for £2999 and six months or a year later you want to upgrade to something bigger can you imagine what they will offer you for the bike in px!!. Worrying times!

The key seems to be take your time test ride a few . And get the bike right for you . Try to please both Head and Heart and get it right . Keep it a good while jobs a good one .. Excellent mutter by the way
Thanks Neil 😁 absolutely 😁
Better late than never for me to catch up with you Mr. TAYM! Thanks for the random mutter.
Thanks TR 😁 hope all is well 😁
Great mutter and very true about trade in prices.
Absolutely 😁 thanks Ian 😁
Yes, it’s not bad news for everyone 😁 thanks JW 😁
Morning TAYM, I reckon the Giraffe will like the Triumph , as it's tall ,and it's front legs are a similar colour ! 😅 👍
Glad I traded my Interceptor for my classic 350 last year, I got a good price for it and at the time there was £300 off the classic!
Interesting topical mutter,
Cheers Mel 🍻
Thanks Mel 😁 😂😂😂 yes never thought of the 400X for the giraffe😂😂
Yes, it’s a buyers market but with more constantly in the pipeline it makes people hesitant I think 😁 thanks Steve 😁
I think what defines a Royal Enfield Classic is the headlight nacelle along with the rear fender supports. But I hate to see Royal Enfield go the way of Harley Davidson where each little change in trim package is marketed as a new bike.
I know exactly what you mean 😁 thanks X
Thanks TAYM a good mutter and snapshot of the scramblers capabilities
Thanks GCK 😁
The market was corrupted during the covid madness, manufacturers could sell anything to an insatiable buying public...now less than desirable quality control, market saturation, buyer remorse, higher cost of living among other things is the new reality. Lower demand so down go the prices. Thanks TAYM.
You've written exactly what I was going to say. Well done that Man.
Thanks DT 😁 yes, in my experience prices go up but seldom come down 😁 there has certainly never been a better time to buy a new or used RE 😁
😂😂😂😂😂 thanks Bruce 😁
l think all bikes depreciate quite badly it is what it is, there's no point getting upset about it just enjoy the bike. 👍
Absolutely 😁thanks MP 😁
Another great mutter, it was good to see the 400x used for your commute, looked excellent again. Interesting comments on the REs, I can understand the frustrations, but overall I think nearly all RE owners will get good value for money from their ownership. They are not for me but still sound for a lot of people.
Yes, if only we could could count smiles per miles 😁 thanks Alan 😁
I'm not so sure 2nd hand Royal Enfield prices will be going up anytime soon. Their 350's are a little too slow now that the Triumph 400's have hit the market, and just more competition in this segment means prices will remain low. The new Himalayan is quite expensive for Royal Enfield, so I'm not sure it will sell in the numbers of the old ones. Interesting times ahead for RE now there is competition in the budget segment from more than just the Chinese manufacturers. I guess they will have to accept that they are not going to sell in the same numbers as they have been in recent years.
Thanks Paul 😁 I think you could be right 😁
😲 "Unsubscribe immediately!!" shouts Mrs Mo. "Why?" said l in disbelief. "He's totally blanked Giraffe again!" 🤦♂️ It's ok TAYM, she's now sedated and having a lay down 😂👍. Keep on muttering. Regards, Mo 😊
😂😂😂😂😂😂 brilliant 😂😂 thanks Mo and sorry Mrs Mo 😂😂😂
After just testing the super meteor, I won’t test the shotgun as it’s too similar tbh. Many times it’s just a paint colour and hey we have a new bike 😂 I think tbh most of the riders that will buy the lower cc bikes like the new triumph 400’s will be older folk like us. Problem is the gov are not interested in bikes or enabling younger gen to ride bikes.
Thanks Moto 😁 absolutely 😁
A fantastic video a great mutter as always but that bike is the bee's knees end of and value for money you can not go wrong with that bike
Thanks Frank 😁 yes, let’s hope it remains trouble free 😁
as for the r.e. resale values -- if you see something selling like hot cakes then obviously the market will peak , and when the next years model or colour scheme comes along people upgrade - so there is a sudden glut , the moral is don't buy if you cannot afford to lose ;;;;
Thanks SG 😁
Interesting stuff !! Does this mean I need to get a second bike instead of selling my meteor, and will the mrs let me get away with it? The giraffe didnt look happy at being blanked either. 😅 I like the look of both Triumph 400s, I'd like a go on both, I like the x but it might be too tall for me shortarse that I am. Keep up the good work 👍🦒
That’s exactly what it means 😁😂😂 thanks P 😁
You had the answer, if you want the value of your royal Enfield to hold it's price better, hang on to it , if most owners did this the second hand value would hold, people would have to buy new in turn the new prices then would increase then that helps the second hand price, long and short of it if you buy a new royal Enfield keep it for 3 years coming up to MOT then if you sell you can't lose to much as they were so cheap to buy in the first place 😊
Absolutely 😁 thanks AW 😁
My local royal Enfield dealer was offering 3 gears free servicing on new bikes to counteract the motogb pricing, to be honest I thought that was more tha5fair and would make sticking with the authorised dealer worthwhile. The parts issue for warranty work seems to be an ongoing issue, it almost seems like the motogb contract came for renewal and RE decided at the last minute to bring distribution back in house without really having a plan, anyhow lovely bikes for the money
That is an excellent deal and well worth taking up 😁 thanks Stephen 😁
A bonus midweek mutter , marvelous 😂
I saw the Norty poster and I think it's disgraceful !
Become an " influencer " , ride bikes for free ( and get your own neglected piece of junk repaired for free ) and fly like Peter Pan around the world
Nice work if you can get it .
😂😂😂😂 if only 😂😂😂 thanks DS 😁
I think these 400’s from triumph will hold their money better than RE atm. Looking at the Scram 411 compared to the 400X nearly double the BHP, ok it’s a grand more but I think I would prefer the triumph. Fab natter cheers 🍻
Thanks Moto 😁 yes, I can’t see Triumph getting in the same pickle RE have 😁
The problem is that we, as consumers, have forgotten that you don't get 'owt for nowt and Royal Enfields are good bikes but they are built to a price and that has to affect the quality somewhere in the extras or the choice of materials.
All very true 😁 thanks Mike 😁
“How do you make an effective scrambler for short people?” A very good question Mr TAYM. That’s life. If your bike needs plenty of ground clearance it can’t also have a low seat.
The KTM 1290 SA solved that issue to an extent. A person doesn’t have to be 6’ 2” to reach the deck with the later models. Not a scrambler but a more capable bike.
Thanks Richard 😁 yes, it’s a conundrum 🤔
Exactly. Nobody buys a brand new shiny pair of boots and worries about how much they can sell them for in three years time.
Thanks MJ 😁
Depreciation is a nasty fact of life though the motoGB fiasco hasn't helped Royal Enfield owners. As a previous Interceptor owner I actually think the Shotgun is the best of the RE 650's though their home market would probably like the looks of a classic model. The Triumph 400 scrambler would definitely be of interest if I ever wanted a smaller bike than my T100.
Totally agree 😁 thanks Simon 😁
I perfer Japanese bikes tbh, there's already reports from riders in India of these new 400s being unreliable.
Bikes made in India and China do seem to seem to lose their value.
Hard to beat Honda for reliability.
Thanks MR 😁 yes, Suzuki have a pretty good record too 😁
@TAYM yes indeed Taym, you only have to look at the millions of old Japanese bikes that are still going and looking well today.
Interesting thoughts on RE.
I don’t have a dealership within 4 hours. Same with Triumph. That’s why I have never owned either brand.
Thanks PW 😁
It seems that Royal Enfield has been the RUclipsr darling for a couple of years now. Is the allure of RE maybe cooling off for the moment? If they release a Classic 650, I may have to delay retirement!!😂😂😂
Thanks TBG 😁 it seems that way 😁
As a customer. I wouldn't complain about cheaper prices. I would just buy a second Interceptor; 😁😁preferably second hand 👍👍. One for the city and one for the country. if I had a R.E. 350 however, I might wish that I had waited for a Triumph 400X 👍.
That’s my kind of thinking 😁 it’s like the stocks, but cheap 😁 thanks GBD 😁
Buy low, sell high. Easier said than done.😁😁 @@TAYM
If you ask me, to buy or sell? Buy and keep it till the wheels fall off unless you don't use it anymore. If it has no value (use) then sell it. If it's a bad bike or car, trade it in. 😊
Absolutely 😁 and how many times do we look at the photos and say ‘wish I’d kept it’ 😁 thanks LoY 😁
Triumph look to have a great budget bike in the Speed and Scrambler 400's if I had not bought my CL500 (Short persons scrambler 😂) would be a great deal. The RE deals are great at the moment, the wife even thinks I should get a Classic 350 after trying one as a pillion whilst they have the old MotoGB stock discounted, so looks like an RE is going to have a space in the garage :)
Tough for those who have seen the value plummet, however they seem to be the type of bike that you keep.
Absolutely 😁 yes the market is really hotting up in the smaller capacity place 😁
Thanks JM 😁 absolutely, let someone else take the hit 😁
Ignoring the giraffe may hurt his feelings..... probably not wise!😉😉
😂😂😂😂 very true 😂 thanks Foggy 😁
I think you could look at it the other way and think to yourself, that you bought a relatively cheap bike (if you bought a Classic 350) and it might have lost a few hundred pounds over a short period but you can ride it in all seasons for 3 years, then practically afford to give it away and buy another second hand `garage queen` with a few hundred miles on the clock and start over.
Absolutely 😁 thanks Dave 😁
Well there you go my suspicions confirmed about RE, its put me off buying one for the foreseeable future . its a shame as they do have a certain charm about them but quality comes at a price .An old saying , buy cheap buy twice .
Thanks Michael 😁 interesting isn’t it 🤔 the 350’s are exceptional value at the moment but with 3000 mile servicing for many that’s a big negative 🤔
Certainly is compared to 8000 for my CB
These are £4500 in NZ cheaper than electric mountain bikes, and have you seen the depreciation of electric bikes / vehicles, eye watering
Thanks T 😁 yes, I think people are waking up to the idea that electric is perhaps not the way to go 😁
🏍👍👍
Thanks Paul 😁
I moved on from RE due to lack of quality control. I almost put as many miles on mine taking it back and forth to the dealership for warranty work as I did riding it for pleasure. Over time the situation got old enough to justify taking the financial hit and trying again with a 400x.
Interesting 😁 I hope these triumphs work out reliable 😁 thanks T 😁
I don’t buy bikes to sell 9 months later or what their resale value is.
Seems really common these days people swap bikes like underwear which for me means they’ve bought the wrong bike
Love the bike I have (classic 350 2 years now no rust) and like most of my bikes and cars will run it until its uneconomical to repair.
Exactly, I was thinking back to my previous bikes🤔 I had my GTR for about 4years, my gen1 trophy similar, likewise my Daytona 1000 and my gen1 Vstrom the same 🤔 now I seem to change them quicker than my pants 😁 very good point 😁 thanks track 😁
you seem to be in a hurry on that bike ,= where as on bertie the pace of life is slower , thats the trouble with quicker vehicles , you feel like you need to use the go go ;;
Absolutely spot on and something I am planning on muttering about when I get to test the new bullet 😁
152nd🤯 been slacking.I didn't get the notification🤔.Only just noticed it now.
No Dain 🌲 tree?
Only just noticed it now haha😊

Better late than never 😁
You loose tax and vat as soon as you wheel anything out of the showroom!.
@@stevenfreeman7798 very interesting 🤔 they appear to be doing similar with the BSA 😁 thanks Steven 😁
