Thanks for the video. I am really looking forward to getting mine. Delivery is supposed to be April/June, which is a bit disappointing as I put my deposit down back in October the day the prototypes were on display at my local dealer. I wanted a Carnival Red one, which I think is the reason for the wait, as all the UK ones I have seen reviewed so far have been black or green. Whatever, thanks again for sharing your experiences and thoughts, they are definitely making me feel I have made the right choice. 😀
Thanks John. I've been enjoying your takes on the new bike. I think sixth gear may have very long legs for gas milage. Fifth may give you what you need for passing speed on the highway. It seems that the gearing for the Scrambler is different than for the Speed. The scrambler looks like it will really excel at lower speeds on off road applications over the Speed version. Gord
Good job on your review. Did you alter the gear shift lever by just a "tad" or a "tad & a smidgen"? - as an Englishman it's important to know which?! :)
I talk a bit about comparing to my old REH411 in the next video, although after riding 150 miles today in a variety of situations my opinions are forming and changing. It might take me several weeks of riding to fully form opinions
If I back out the cost of accessories I pre-ordered (but aren't here yet), and keeping mind my taxes/registrations might be different than yours, it was about 6800. Not the best deal someone will get out there I'm sure, but it wasn't excessive.
Ah ok good to know. Thanks for the heads up. I put a deposit down for one that was supposed to arrive by January but looks more like April now. Congrats on a beautiful bike@@JohnnyPowRides
This is an awesome video with lots of helpful info. So ready to be riding mine in Lower Alabama and sharing my bacon.
Agree about the shifter. I took a test ride in my dirt bike boots and they barely fit under it. Great advice about moving it.
Looks like a blast - thanks for the update!

Thanks for the vid. I'm currently trying to decide between this and the Honda SCL 500 but leaning toward the Triumph. Just looks so good.
Exactly the same for me. I like also the kawa z650rs but it's too expensive
@@leopoldkirgo I went to Honda and sat on one. Much nicer in person than I expected. Haven't seen a 400x yet.

I enjoyed your cannonball videos!

Love from lahthua gaya Bihar india 🇮🇳 planning to buy this April
** all my opinions stated here are subject to review LOL **
Congrats! Nice machine but I don´t like the exhaust sound.
Love the bike, how is the sound of the exhaust? It sounds like a scooter on the videos.
It is pretty quiet. Similar to the stock RE Himalayan
also - the audio here is from a tiny mic inside my helmet, so not a good real world example of the sound of the bike "in person"
Nice city bike so far. How does the power compare to the 411 Himi. Love the ride through USC on the Triumph and the mountain bike.

Não tem como comparar
Se for assim joga a dr 650 no bolo
Ou a dr 400...
How much did the bike cost after tax/import/misc fees if you don't mind me asking?
