Good mutter TAYM ....sad about Haywards i have bought a couple of bikes of them always good service ...have you seen the new Scram 443 cc a bored out 411 cc 6 speed box bigger pistons in the front brake ...tubeless wheels ..looks good ........i have just seen that Royal Enfield are bringing out a new 500 cc Bullet ....no idea when ect but wouldnt it be great if they did ?.

The name that sprang into my head was...Bristol Blenheim....probs' totally wrong

Great mutter today TAYM, two things Steven King was one of my favourite authors , the book was better than the film ! As for Honda cam chains I know the CX 500 when it first came out the tensioner was well dodgy and had to be sorted ! Have a great weekend 😊

Hi TAYM marvellous vid, yes I had a cbx 550f and it was the camchain tensioner that went on mine,great handling bike though I used to scrape the footpegs back when when I was a bit naughty.

Haywards gone. No big surprise, a real shame. Let's hope something good will come of it. Have had 12 bikes from them over the last 30 odd years. Do we know what will happen to the Royal Enfield meet up.

Morning TAYM, I still haven't managed to get out on any of my bikes yet , and it's the end of January! I finished looking after my sister's house and Mylo the dog 🐕 for a couple of weeks, I was home for a couple of days, but now I'm looking after my Grandkids at their house for a week! 😅 I'll be back home next week, then I'm getting my camping gear sorted for two bike rallies on the first weekend of February, one of which will be on my 70th birthday, (the 9th ) no rest for us retirees/Grandads eh! 😅 Great Friday Mutter and photies ! Hi TAYM great mutter. I had a CBX550, my 1st big bike, I wanted the 750 but couldn’t afford the insurance. I think the 550 had cam chain tensioner problems but mine was fine. I saw a 550 for sale at Stafford bike show last year, it brought back some happy memories

Yes quite a few Hondas back in the mid 70s up to the early 80s had cam chain problems.

Morning Taym, back in the 80's cam chain tensioners were the Achilles heel of Honda engines. A mate of mine bought a new CBX550 Honda but I don't recall any cam chain issues with it ? There were however issues with the fully enclosed front disc brakes.

Defo a Hudson as local airfield silloth was a maintaince base.ww2..and many hudsons crashed into the sea there fore its nicknamed Hudson Bay local church cemetery has many pilots from Poland South Africa Canada and UK...😔
