I am, and frankly have come across a few funny faces but it is far less buggy than skyrim, which is loved and revered, so i really dont get peoples problems with andromeda
I agree alot of it is undeservedly harsh. Buuuut understandable. Because the beginning of this game is terribly weak. Upp until the first vault. ME:A is a really bad game wich only redeeming things are the tiny amount of combat you do, and the vistas. The story is just convinience, with no suspense, no surprises no emotional connections or anything. The dialouge is BY FAR the weakest at the start of the game, and since so much of it is talking the animations stand out like a sore tumb as theres nothing good to distract you from it. I will bet you alot that if they extended the early access thing to completion of the first vault, and the embargo thing to include that as well. THe game wouldnt be so insanely much backlash. Would still be as the beginning of the game is so weak, but not as much as it was now.
Yes, I am. I think the game is great. I'm playing on the PC with a GTX 1080 and the game is visually stunning. Some of the facial animations are weak, but I haven't noticed any bugs. Frankly I think the faces look fine, and the rare wonky animations are negligible at most. If you only play Mass Effect for the facial animations, I think you are a very bizarre gamer, tbh.
Nick They capitalized on the hate as a clickbait tactics to get everyones views. Many more clicks that way.. now that the game is released, they milk it down because its a profitable business practice. Big reviewers are about as honest in their content as the tobacco industry.
If you're unsure whether or not to buy the game- buy it. You'd be surprised how much fun you'd have. The gameplay is awesome, the graphics aren't that bad (sure the facial animations aren't the best but it is negligible), and the story is surprisingly good, especially once it advances. The story could legit be a standalone movie. I've poured almost a day's worth of hours into it and I'm only 1/4th of the way through the story, and I haven't scratched the side missions and only have visited 3 open world planets so far (not to mention Havarl, the Nexus, and Aya). Seriously, buy the game if you love sci fi
Energy Drain with Incinerate is my favorite so far. Both can be outfitted to act as a detonator and a primer, they aren't limited by range (although incinerate is slow), and I find the practical value of Energy Drain to greatly surpass that of Overload. Particularly on insanity. Factor in the Remnant VI, the engineer profile, and squad mates geared towards priming and you're in combo city.
My biotic god build: vanguard profile: Backlash, singularity, and charge. Makes for some really fun up close and personal combat and backlash lets you get out of those sticky situations where a tougher enemy catches you out in the open.
You can swap abilities in your current profile in combat via the skill screen to avoid the cooldowns for swapping profiles. I don't know if this is intended or a bug, but have fun!
One of my favorite combos is is singularity with maxed lance. When you max lance it has no cooldown but takes your shield instead. So stick them in a singularity then just hurl lance after lance at them! For a third ability you can drop pull and do the same thing with lance or get another combo detonator like throw etc
Cryo beam is an amazing way to shred armor and also does pretty legit damage. The capstone point at the end that makes the AOE more brutal is amazing for combos.
Also, I think Scott (only have played the male version) Ryder is a great protagonist. You can sort of mold him into a serious, logical leader or a casual, light-hearted character through your dialogue options, and you can even combine the two at appropriate moments. It's like you're creating your own antagonist like its a movie to tailor to how you like your superheroes.
You guys gave a good game a real bad review for having some blank expressions and glitches that might just get fixed but contradict your review by posting videos on cool stuff to do in the game. Since you guys said it was a bad game stop posting videos about it, you don't deserve to. -Mass Effect Fans
I have its not as bad as people are saying. There's some major bandwagon bullshit going on . To be far this is my 1st mass effect game. It runs better than fallout 4 ever did
@Tosh Yes - Probably Bioware shouldn't have allowed the first few hours to be reviewed separately early on. Those early reviews started a wave of fan hysteria. The actual gameplay looks pretty good.
From my playing the best powers to get is overload, incinerate and biotic charge. Combined with explorer. Maximum manuverability, with the higest damage, and a tool for all enemy and defensive types.
In my first playthrough I found Incinerate paired well with Overload. They work well separately to take down defenses and together for large explosions (incinerate takes a second to hit the target, and Overload in instantaneous, so you need to wait for Incinerate to land first). Together they worked well against crowds and bosses, I kind of got bored with them because I ended up using them too much so I'm trying to use other combos more now.
I'm at a loss ,haven't played the old mass effect games but I'm really enjoying MEA. It's nowhere near as glitchy as say fallout 4 was and alot more fun to play. I can't help but feel that all the hate is a combination of people's expectations with bioware style former employees being all political . I would take this over any Bethesda game since skyrim.
Emotionally stunted, cynical people with too much time and too little sense hating on ill-informed views, then blown out of proportion. If only people got this offended by half the crap that goes on in the real world.
You should definitly play the trilogy when you get the chance. They're awesome. Seeing the differences forged by your desicion is amazing. Gameplay is not as fast paced but it's still fun and the story is pretty good.
I like to use flamethrower and shockwave combo. I also have singularity. I play as the sentinel profile, but didn't know you could favourite styles. This vid was helpful.
Wait but Andromeda sucks, isn't it? (6)... why are you making so many videos (with so many views!) oh right... it doesn't suck that much uh? People, go and play the game, is fucking awesome!
just got it today and it's one of my favorite games ever made so far. I came across a few glitches which isnt good but before you call it unforgivable how many games comes out without glitches?
My favorite biotic detonator combo is singularity detonated by a concussive shot. I also like the detonating collapse of singularity. Moral of the story, I like to blow #@%! up.
ME:A is an awesome game, and the the fluid and supercharged combat mechanics had me hooked from the get-go. I'll say nothing of the hysteria surrounding the early animation issues, only that if you haven't tried it out, you should, especially with the new patches. Here's hoping we get that Quarian ark Dlc, and a sequel.
my bread and butter combo is a charged overload to shock mutliple targets in place followed buy a maxed out throw that throws 2 projectiles. deals massive crowd control damage
My go to combo is to prime with incinerate that shoots two at once at different targets, detonate with overload charge so it detonates both incinerates then if they're not dead finish with the flamethrower melee combo
Also before investing take a look at the final parts of the skill tree. it can turn primers to detonators and vise versa. try having the powers lead to stacks on melee, power, or weapon damage. don't spread urself thin
CainhurstCastle nointernetprivacy doesn't need to it synergizes in a more natural way. Annihilation drains enemy HP nearby but that's not all it can do it can also restore shields on kill of any enemy nearby and also debuff enemies to take bonus damage from all sources then charge which is useful for forcing enemies inside your annihilation range while also restoring shield and buffing your next move which should be followed by Nova which can be changed off of it's long cooldown to instead cost shields see where I'm going with this? then go into barrier to get shields returned on power kill and add a Shield Oscillator augment to your armor which will also return shields on any kill and if you go further into biotics you can also make it so annihilation has doubles the bonus damage debuff and also so charge has double the power boost buff, go for less cooldown and higher range on all abilities because the damage debuff and power boost will make up for everything else. End result? Highly mobile bottomless shields AoE Biotic Brawler! PS. Charge does detonate enemies already under the effect of annihilate.
annihilation or charge(depending if I'm being defensive or offensive), energy drain, incinerate, cryo ammo or corra if i need ice priming. gear mods focused on combo damage, combo radius, tech cooldown(for energy drain/incenerate priming or detonations), the mod for 25% shields restored on kills. sentinel profile. tech, fire, cryo combos for distance. then i use biotic combo's with drain or incinerate(depending on which is ready) if they get too close or the area i'm in a small.
I'm running charge plus annilhation and want to swap out my grenades. I'm running an auto shotgun m7 armor for bio buffs and a high accuracy pistol that I can blind fire behind cover for when it gets too intense. what should I swap out my grenades for
Singularity then Charge then Ground Pound with melee weapon that freezes enemies then Nova. Doesn't trigger a combo bonus (except cryo if someone does end up freezing) but feels badass though.
Your pull/throw combo wasn't necessarily true. Tapping pull on an unshielded enemy then tapping throw activates the biotic combo. You essentially hurl the enemy into the air by doing it your way (holding pull then throw and can still set up other combos)
I found with singularity even if the enemy has shields or is armor based, if they are in the zone of effect and you do a biotic combo it will still damage them a lot.
Well so far nothing beats my combination of incinerate, overload and energy drain - you can set up combo spree with incinerate, followed by energy drain (and fire detonation) and then overload (and electric detonation) on enemies with armor or just health. On shielded you just use energy drain followed with overload (or incinerate if you pick detonation option at rank 6) and then incinerate, fire a bit and when energy drain recharges detonate. It also keeps your shield up with constant draining and enemies are stunned with electricity or fire all the time. Now on insanity at lvl40 and I tried a lot of combination of pure adept build or some combination with tech, but so far this allows me to almost ignore cover and just wreck all the opposition.
No Tech Bursts? Prime with electrical powers then detonate? If so, Tech Bursts can't happen in enemies with shields? What about Fire explosions? Doesn't it work with Armored enemies?
Tech Bursts are still in, and yes they do work on shielded enemies, same with fire explosions on armored targets. There's an added bonus that both leave a DoT in an area after the combo that can further damage enemies.
remember, this is a first aaa game by a new inexperienced team. considering that, its pretty good what they have managed to put out. I'm still playing the trilogy and I see a lot of bugs, but bugs never bother me because I'm focused on the gameplay and the story. everyone is in to different things, so I would say don't listen to other people, experience it for yourself first. we are all entitled to our opinions, but they aren't fact, its just a view from people who have different tastes.
can you double combo though. I have some powers which can prime and detonate. So power 1 primes, power 2 detonates power 1 and primes for power 3 to detonate.
I miss KOTOR. But I gotta say the world that this new team created is incredible and massive. Maybe cluttered and unfinished is the best way to sum this game up. According to gamespot review. They felt like it didn't come together well and to many glaring problems to justify all the good. Overall a 6/10.(damn guys) I still think that some of these worlds are shockingly detailed and incredible. Just not interesting. Wtf bioware. At least the gameplay is good. Whether or not the story and characters suck, the gameplay (the most important part) is for the most part much better then most AAA RPG games of this size and scope. Witcher 3 was fantastic in every way. Except for combat gameplay. I thought it was shallow as shit. But the world they crafted was special. I think the game bioware crafted here is amazing. Unfortunately it didn't come together well. Big risk can be big rewards. Or a 6/10. Gamespot you actually gave it a lower rating because of technical issues and bugs that can be fixed? Cmon guys.
I agree with you on the Witcher 3; that and how it's the same 6-8 male or female faces for all NPCs. Once you've gone through the starter area, you've seen all the NPC faces in the game, lol.
did they even play the game ? main tip is to focus on combining primers and detonators along with timing and creating a sequence in which ud use a power with the longest recharge to open hopefully priming detonating then a quick prime again from ur third and detonating again.
wow i dont enjoy the negativity of ME A but this coment section is nuts. well i went for the good ol incinerate + overcharge then i mixed things up with biotics and tech profile 1 cryo beam+ overload or throw so i dont have to choose between a combo or taking dow a shield. profile 2 cryo + bio charge or bio charge + bio smash +bio charge for the combo normally i close gap with the first target and then i smash +charge someone close.
I would like to be a soldier that can combo on its own maybe with overload and flamethrower. I'll need to be level 100 to make it possible though... Haha
Personally, I actually like having a theme with my Ryder. I'm fully specked into engineer/tech with either all the fire abilities (Incinerate/Flame turret/flamethrower) or all the shock abilities (overload/energy drain/the secret tech skills which I won't say since it's "kinda" a spoiler?).
It's actually really fun and I'm ready for pretty much any encounter. The fire themed spec is great for high dps/ crowds of enemies/ armor / and boss fights, while the energy themed spec is great vs remnant/ survivability (with overload and the secret perk taking up a bit of damage that you would be taking)/ and shields.
Does anyone have any other ideas for themed builds? I tried using invasion and cryo beam as a debuffing themed build, but I'm not sure what the third ability would be and it doesn't seem to be too effective.
my only issue with the pull/throw combo is the lack of fall damage, I launch an enemy across the map but they survive and try sniping me from far away.
I did not realize that you could actually pull them towards you and hold them in the air and move them around and then throw them. I have just been tapping pull letting it lift them into the air and then hitting them with throw.
Hey! I use the explorer profile with maxed cloak for a a surprise attack OR cooling off period, maxed pull and maxed nova. It makes the game so easy it s stupid.... u can either tap pull and shoot them down or bring them over and nova their asses. I m eager to try more powers tho. Cool vid.!
My most burning question with power combos is whether or not Biotic Charge detonates Annihilation Field. Because if it does, then that would be an OP Vanguard build. Annihilation Field + Charge + Nova = EXPLOSIONS EVERYWHERE
one of the most annoying things was the lack of fall damage. you can pull and then chuck someone into the sky and when they land theyll be alive and well. Super annoying.
if y'all are disappointed in something that is amazing why make more videos I see nothing wrong with the game it is an amazing game no bugs or glitches like y'all were saying wth GameSpot
But the combo damage is joke, i think its fixed and not a percentage like in 3. Guess only raw power damage is worth it now, spec for all the heavy powers..
Are you playing Mass Effect Andromeda? If so, what do you think of it?
No because of the reviews. If and when the bugs are mostly fixed I might consider it...
I am, and frankly have come across a few funny faces but it is far less buggy than skyrim, which is loved and revered, so i really dont get peoples problems with andromeda
i agree entirely. people are shitting on the game but forget that many great games are buggy, fallout 4 and skyrim come to mind
I agree alot of it is undeservedly harsh. Buuuut understandable. Because the beginning of this game is terribly weak. Upp until the first vault. ME:A is a really bad game wich only redeeming things are the tiny amount of combat you do, and the vistas.

Honestly the game is super fun. Yeah the facial animations are pretty bad but you get used to them. But the gameplay is great.
This feels like cod not...not an rpg
Hope they do something to fix the eyes at least its pretty distracting during the dialogue which is a lot of the game!
ikr
Nick Rodriguez 100% agree
The game is so fun it got 3.9/10 from users at Metacritic. Like, super fun!
I love how they give this game a super low rating but then pump out video after video of it to get views
Its almost like we are a company who's job it is to make videos about video games.
Nick They capitalized on the hate as a clickbait tactics to get everyones views. Many more clicks that way.. now that the game is released, they milk it down because its a profitable business practice. Big reviewers are about as honest in their content as the tobacco industry.

Just a question , can you pause ingame to issue squad commands? I only know you can ask em to go to a spot only
nope, no pausing for squad commands unfortunately.
Energy Drain with Incinerate is my favorite so far. "and if they're still not dead finish them off with a ground pound" ---still not dead
Dude. The Sidewinder is an amazing pistol. Mag, Dmg, scope, piercing mods and it rips though enemies with a great rate of fire.
My biotic god build: vanguard profile: Backlash, singularity, and charge. Makes for some really fun up close and personal combat and backlash lets you get out of those sticky situations where a tougher enemy catches you out in the open.

Singularity + Throw has always been my favorite combo.

"might get fixed" thats totally irrelevant. A game gets judged at it's release. Dont release broken games.
I'm a ME fan and you don't speak for me so take your apologetic excuses in behalf of Bioware for releasing an half assed game.
I think you need to learn what "broken" means
So has any one been enjoying Mass Effect?
Battle Rifle i have its awesome
kazuma 1-10?
Battle Rifle i'd give it a 8.5
I have its not as bad as people are saying. There's some major bandwagon bullshit going on . To be far this is my 1st mass effect game. It runs better than fallout 4 ever did

im enjoying the hell out of this game, especially the improved mulitplayer

Luis Carlos Sortillon Thank you
Very little time to post comments here. Too busy with BOOM!! HEADSHOT!!!!!! BOOOOOOOM HEADSHOT!!!!!!!!!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM HEADSHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Luis Carlos Sortillon it might also be people watching it are trying to get them leaves to enjoy the game through some tips and tricks.
People were so focused on the negatives on this game. So many people are enjoying it and it's really a great game. The multiplayer is fun as shit too.
Luis Carlos Sortillon sure is. i love it. cant put it down!
Im lvl 70, if you put points in all the skill trees, the passives sum up?
Im currently a vanguard.
Annihilation, Charge, Shockewave, and a shotgun with the Adept Profile = Michael Bay mode.
Yes I am playing the game just started it so I'm still fairly learning the basic about the Game
What can I use in the place of Warp to prime/detonate? Is invasion the equivalent of warp? Overload, warp, throw was OP in the trilogy
Love the exploration and the skills so much! Yeah the animations are really strange and off but it doesn't take much away from the great gameplay!
This is a well put excellent video
just got it today and it's one of my favorite games ever made so far. I came across a few glitches which isnt good but before you call it unforgivable how many games comes out without glitches?
Swag1000billion its up there in my tops too
My favorite biotic detonator combo is singularity detonated by a concussive shot. I also like the detonating collapse of singularity. Moral of the story, I like to blow #@%! up.

Annihilation Charge and Nova when built right is sooooo good and fast paced feels good man.
Toland Beyond do those skills combo detonate with each other?
CainhurstCastle nointernetprivacy doesn't need to it synergizes in a more natural way. I'm looking for a rechargeable detonator
Overload (Maxed) + Concussion Shot (Maxed) + Shockwave (Maxed, if they are not dead.) = My Combo
you dont need to get rid of armor for a lot of skills to prime them, however their are only a small handfull of skills that can prime shields
best tip.. max the stealth skill and engineering passive that makes abilities heal you... never die again.. ever.
Singularity then Charge then Ground Pound with melee weapon that freezes enemies then Nova. Doesn't trigger a combo bonus (except cryo if someone does end up freezing) but feels badass though.
Actually, Singularity & Annilation field can prime targets (as long as they are in the radius) regardless if they got HP, Shield or Armor.
I love singularity to prime, lance to detonate, if still living charge to detonate AGAIN, IF still living shotgun to face.
I love to play vangard.
My personal favorites are Incinerate+Concussive shot or Pull+Concussive shot
runing engineer with overload energy drain and incinerate for the luls
ennemies are like:
-i've got shield and armor lol
-you had...
Biotics if you have singularity + push it creates aoe effect that kills most enemies inside it :)
Your pull/throw combo wasn't necessarily true. Tapping pull on an unshielded enemy then tapping throw activates the biotic combo. You essentially hurl the enemy into the air by doing it your way (holding pull then throw and can still set up other combos)

Well so far nothing beats my combination of incinerate, overload and

energy drain (and fire detonation) and then overload (and electric
detonation) on enemies with armor or just health. On shielded you just

pure adept build or some combination with tech, but so far this allows
me to almost ignore cover and just wreck all the opposition.
infiltrator also allows you to shoot through some (alot) of walls and rocks for example
Can you prime cryo combos in protected enemies?
remember, this is a first aaa game by a new inexperienced team. considering that, its pretty good what they have managed to put out. Nice video ! :)
can you double combo though. I have some powers which can prime and detonate. So power 1 primes, power 2 detonates power 1 and primes for power 3 to detonate.
So far Overload then Concussive Shot has done pretty good for me
I miss KOTOR. But I gotta say the world that this new team created is incredible and massive. Maybe cluttered and unfinished is the best way to sum this game up. According to gamespot review. Oh wait gamespot are wrong again! Level cap doesn't exist so you CAN max everything out at level 123 according to an interview with devs.
Wait. You can combine different biotic skills with each other? cause he used tech flamethrower and adept singularity wtf
I'd be surprised if the facial animations were created using motion capture. That'd be hilarious! XD
Engineer Profile + Overload + Incinerate + Tactical Cloak = God Mode?
really enjoying MEA!
wow i dont enjoy the negativity of ME A but this coment section is nuts.
well i went for the good ol incinerate + overcharge
then i mixed things up with biotics and tech
profile 1
cryo beam+ overload or throw so i dont have to choose between a combo or taking dow a shield.
profile 2
cryo + bio charge
or bio charge + bio smash +bio charge for the combo
normally i close gap with the first target and then i smash +charge someone close.
for some reason when I change my profile it removes a power from another. anyone else having this issue and know how to help?
Overload vs shields (and it stuns)
Inciderate vs armor/combo set up
Push for combo's damage
PS....these combos were also in previous mass effects
You know where i can get HELEUS data points??
concussive shot into a singularity
BTW the infiltrator dash cloak is purely cosmetic.
Jesse eisenberg plays Mass Effect Andromeda :O!
I did not realize that you could actually pull them towards you and hold them in the air and move them around and then throw them. I have just been tapping pull letting it lift them into the air and then hitting them with throw.
he says you can put points into everything but not max it out? Guess there's a level cap but i saw a guy at like level 40 + so maybe its 50?
How to be palpatine
Step 1: get energy drain
Congrats u are a palpatine
I just summon a remnant and keep on shooting. Done
If you're gonna use singularity, you should probably be creating biotic combos, a flamethrower is kind-of pointless in that scenario.
Annihilation Field is a combo primer so its certainly possible.
I just tried it... It doesn't work. :(
ahh bummer
I dont understand why they make flamethrower to be prime, it is more like a detonator.
for a combo video, you didnt cover many combos...
I honestly thought that your character could only look like the guy from napeloen dynamite because of ign
Isn't there a New Game + option? Then that will allow you to get every single skill possible!
People are jumping on the bandwagon because of the facial animation. Look past that and this game is great . This year has some really good games !
*6/10 it's not bad, it's a little bit above average*
kunven but it is much better then a 6 more like a 9 or an 8. something
I just wish they update the game so that there's an option to have the helmet always on. That is of course unless they can actually fix the faces
There is an option to always have the helmet on. Go to settings, and then gameplay. Theres options for both Ryder and Squadmates.
one of the most annoying things was the lack of fall damage. you can pull and then chuck someone into the sky and when they land theyll be alive and well. Super annoying.
Explorer 6
Tactical cloack
Turbocharge
Biotic Charge
N7 Pirhana X
= OP on Insanity
Why Gamespot still keep making videos for MEA if they think the game is so bad?
Caio Ramos Cuz they jumped on the bandwagon and want views
if y'all are disappointed in something that is amazing why make more videos I see nothing wrong with the game it is an amazing game no bugs or glitches like y'all were saying wth GameSpot
qseftdeather12 ok yes but I mean not a lot like not even enough to mess with gameplay buy what kind of games don't have any bugs or glitches
Guys I need to know the best sniper you can get? One with good damage and low recoil because I can't find shit.
i usually use charge, singularity, and lance
Serious, biotic charge doesnt set off biotics but cuncussion shot does....wtf bioware...
But the combo damage is joke, i think its fixed and not a percentage like in 3. Guess only raw power damage is worth it now, spec for all the heavy powers..
*How to Create Awesome Animation in Mass Effect: AndromeDUH*
Video doesn't actually SHOW how to create combo's..... well done.
thank god for respecs
