Actually on the augmentations, you don't lose those forever on a crafted weapon unless you sell the weapon. If you deconstruct the weapon instead on the inventory screen you'll be able to get your augmentations you crafted with the weapon to use on other weapons/armor/etc :D
Quite the good vid overall. There was one bit of incomplete advice. Holding off on using augments is unnecessary, because deconstructing the item will return the augments to you. So rather than holding off on using them, they can be used aggressively. Also researching them early is probably better since it will mean a larger portion of the game will have them available as item drops.
Slade1135 Following on to that, always keep a spare armour set that you can change into. Then you can deconstruct your previous set of armour and use it's augmentations, materials and mods on your next set.
No, combat is very boring and repetitive. Small immersion in comparison with me2 and me3. Plot is a ripoff from previous series, if you are a fan then you will notice, that's why this game doesn't offer you anything new.
When you first board the Nexus, go to operations and as you enter from the tramway, on your left are the security cells. There will be a merchant who sells some good start weapons and important materials that will shorten your development of armour and weapons. But he will only be there the first time you board. Do not pump skill or research points into sniper rifles, big waste. Develop the "Ushior" pistol, stick a sight on it, three round sniper pistol, only slightly less powerful than the top single shot "Widow maker" rifle.
Yeah, that kind of facial animation thing doesn't bother me too much either. It's never been BioWare's strong suit, though the breadth of their games make that difficult. (It's easier to animate with a protagonist with a fixed appearance like in The Witcher, for example.) I'm about halfway through the story right now. I've found the Priority Ops to be stellar, esp. the rescue on Voeld. But I'm a little disappointed with the smaller details. Those have really shined in previous BioWare games.
unfortunately, I haven't got it yet and I kinda want to get RE7 first but I'll definitely get it at some point. I really enjoyed the 10 hours I got with EA access
32 hrs in, 19% done. There is a LOT to do for completionists. Party members aren't super interesting, but I haven't done a lot of story missions yet. The hate on this game is overblown imo.
SquidGame its meh. squad feels abit boring compared to earlier games. storyline is ok but alot of the side quests I've been doing feel like pointless run and gather quests
84 hours in 95% complete. The game really picks up after the 10 hour early access cutoff. It has check off all the major boxes that I expected for the next mass effect game. That doesn't mean there aren't issues, but they don't detract to much from the game for me. Multiplayer is almost a carbon copy of ME3 which is a good thing.
Another advice, get rid of the starter equipment asap! Yep I mean no more weapons like valkyrie or any other milky way stuff. No more deep exploration or whatever that armor's name was. I recommend crafting the hyperguardian or pathfinder armor for the best experience. Try the PAW assault rifle from the remnant branch, the Naladen sniper and Disciple shotgun. Fill em up with some nice augments and solid mods, upgrade them when possible and you'll be a god. At least that works best for my soldier class build. Have fun and enjoy this great game !
I think you can disassemble older gun and that gives you back the augmentations so you can use them on newer models. Loving this game so far! I'm gonna have to invest in better Heath and Shield bc these enemies rip through it like nothing
O.M.G!!!! You are the first person so far that thinks like I do and uses the Nomad as a weapon. It's like G.T.A 5 in Space....... My sons and I always had a rally cry for any situation in any game no matter what happens. USE IT !!!!!!
It's also a good idea to be very careful about how you spend Remnant research points. Of the three, that one is the hardest to gain enough of and easiest to spend all of despite the small amount of stuff to research. Milky Way tech is the easiest and most abundant of the three especially with the cryo perk that generates research points. And finally the Black Widow is the best sniper in the game. Ever. Of All Time.
I’ve just brought my Xbox One X and I’ve decided to pick this Game up. There has been so many negative reviews on this but I’ve always been very interested in the game. Bit of an old game now but something I had missed.
I love the game so far but I feel like it could do without all the pointless fetch sidequests and boring NPC dialogue AKA "open world syndrome". I prefer the mission-to-mission style of ME2/3
Kyo same. ME2 was brilliant partly because of how tightly focused it was. I'm sort of enjoying Andromeda so far but nowhere near as much as I enjoyed the Shepard trilogy first time round.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. I'm really into the game, but I'm pretty disappointed, too. When will they learn more =/= better? They should have taken a red pen to any quest of "find x number of y." They should reward exploration with unique loot or interesting finds tucked into a remote corners, not try to drive it with hunt-and-seek busy work.
Augmentations can be recovered when dissembling the weapons they are built into. So feel free to use them early, just make sure not to sell the blasted things. Any aug baked into a weapon that gets sold is lost.
as far as augs go, you don't "waste" them on level one weapons, simply deconstruct that weapon before crafting the next level and you get those augs back!
Make sure guys if you want to experiment augments in your low level guns YOU can just make sure not to sell that gun afterwards you can just Destroy the gun for scraps and you will 100% get those augmentations back
#1 should be research points. If unlocked early it gives an incredible amount of Milky Way research points for some of the top gear in the game i.e Hurricane SMG, Asuri Sword, N7 Gear, Auto Shotgun, and the Black Widow.
With update 1.05, getting more inventory is useless. The patch doubles your inventory to 100 rather then 50 prepatch. The inventory upgrade goes to 150 rather then 65, and that is FAR too many. Also you don't have to be careful with making guns with augments. You can always dissemble old weapons and armor to get the augments back.
Quick note about weapon and armor augments: YOU GET THEM ALL BACK IF YOU DISASSEMBLE THE GEAR. So no, DON"T save it for a higher level gun. Use them and them deconstruct the old gun and use them again on the new gun.
Do you have to play the first 3 mass effects to play this one? Because i own this game, thinking about buying the back compat bundle of the 3 first ones! I probably will even if its not necessary but i would like to know if i can play andromeda on its own and later on play the others?
does the cryo pod perks that give you mining materials and research data always give you the same ones? My research one always gives me 100 milky way research.
It's set for the research always Milky Way, for the minerals it's random... To a extent, it will be either common or uncommon ( which is semi rare and you get less of em) when you get the package
Facehugger89 the only way to really get milky way in bulk barring a few rare research pods is though the avp, and you have a LOT of milkyway stuff you can get compaired to the other two types , and no cryo pods are permanent, but you can generally get most if not all by the end of a playthough if you keeping up with quests
@Slade1135 No, that's when you reach lvl 40 that you are able to craft version 6 (VI) weapons and armor. In my first play through I reached lvl 61 on normal difficulty with completing 95% of the game. Still haven't reached lvl 80 for rank ten weapons on my new game+ play through yet though.
I am just about to start a brand new play through of the game after getting about 10ish hours in and getting stuck on a puzzle when the game first released....... wish me luck!!! that is if my playstation decides that it will download the game. been getting corrupt files since I've tried reinstalling the game tonight....
Number74er how is it so far? I bought it yesterday, but not going to touch it before I complete Valhalla. Is there lots of things to do in beautiful environments?
I’ve only just started the game and I’m new to the series so I’m very confused. I just chose the default male character to start with so I’m not sure what I started with but I’m getting a little understanding now. Nice video.
You are wrong with that augmentation you should use them as you want and not just for level 5 weapons because when you deconstruct the weapon in which you put augmentation it will give you augmentation back so be free to experiment with that.
so... good skills to use are literally all of them lol, just try them out they're all useful. I don't use combat powers though, just the passive ones I like biotic and tech powers way more
I like your accent, and the way you said inventory... And im at the level of carrying 200 things now, and finally got to eat Peanut Butter.... You'll know that name later on in the game... LOL
i love the mass effect series but games like this with there upgrade this upgrade that, do this mission to get this and do that mission to get that, get lost for an hour to finally find your way and so on and so forth.....
so how do I turn my PC on? 🤔 Its great to have these commentaries but us "older" new to this game (like me!) gamer still trying to absorb and understand the icons & do dads. 🤪🤪🤪
Why so much worry about auguments? They will come back when you dismantle the weapon you instaled the augument in. Dont worry, you will have to experiment since some augs... well, doesnt work as you may expect.
Bad advice on crafting. If you put an augmentation on a weapon then deconstruct the weapon you get it back. No need to wait until level 5 weapon to add mods... go ahead and use it on first rank, then deconstruct when you get the next rank
Shotgun and sticky grenades? Really? The worst possible combination... The first shotgun I used in the game was a tier six ultra rare one. And I could take down enemies much faster with the tier four remnant assault rifle or tier five remnant sniper. I sold that shotgun right after the mission. The sticky grenades were also pretty disappointing as well as the fire/electric beam modifications. I could hardly damage the kett with them. And I'm taking about crafted tier six weapons. As for the inventory size, well, I can't understand what's the big deal with it. I simply sell everything I don't need such as looted weapons and shotgun/pistol mods. I never needed to destroy an item just to pick up something else. I admit I had to leave a remnant decryption key behind because I already had nine of it in my inventory and, apparently, that's the maximum amount of it that can be carried at a time. But I did pick it up once I sold about 6 of it.
Actually on the augmentations, you don't lose those forever on a crafted weapon unless you sell the weapon. If you deconstruct the weapon instead on the inventory screen you'll be able to get your augmentations you crafted with the weapon to use on other weapons/armor/etc :D
Thats a really good tip.
Until you find thresia, a turian vendor who buys stuff full price you really NEVER want to sell guns, it's way more worth it to deconstruct them,
I'm really enjoying the game. To hell with the haters!
-2020-
Me too! Definetly fun to get lost in!
I only just got around to playing it now. I've gotta say I prefer it to the original 3 games.
I enjoy the game a lott to hell with the haters!
2021, hell yeah me too
2023 yeah
Absolutely loving this game so far! It's so bloody big..
The game is definitely fun. I'm 1/5 of the way through it and approaching my 35th hour.
William C. Approaching my 22nd hour now.. considering the game came out on Thursday in UK that's saying something 😂.. so easy to get lost.
That's what she said
JCore83 Yes.. yes it is..
same here
I personally am enjoying the hell out of this game
Quite the good vid overall. There was one bit of incomplete advice. Holding off on using augments is unnecessary, because deconstructing the item will return the augments to you. A very good shout. We didn't think of this.
beat me to it.
In fact. I got about 5 of every unique augment because I researched all of them asap
Very helpful, I have been using them all but it's nice to know I can get them back if I want to.
Slade1135 Following on to that, always keep a spare armour set that you can change into. Then you can deconstruct your previous set of armour and use it's augmentations, materials and mods on your next set.
This game could have been perfect with one year more of development
No, combat is very boring and repetitive. Small immersion in comparison with me2 and me3. Plot is a ripoff from previous series, if you are a fan then you will notice, that's why this game doesn't offer you anything new.
@@Graotron The game is Very good! :)
When you first board the Nexus, go to operations and as you enter from the tramway, on your left are the security cells. There will be a merchant who sells some good start weapons and important materials that will shorten your development of armour and weapons. But he will only be there the first time you board.

not in the video but get the Apex app so you can send out your teams when you are away from the game.
krankyman thanks for the tip I didn't know there was an app :0
I send out my teams all the time, no idea what I'll do with all their loot but they've gotten plenty for me :)
krankyman thanks man didn't know this existed now I can send strike teams on the go
I only found out about the app in Multiplayer, I would have thought it would have been a larger point of interest.
thank you I didn't know there was an app
Finished it in like three days awesome. facial animations well yeah but as the story hooked me I stopped even noticing unless it was really bad
Nathan Bonbrake oh good, I'm hoping I get that same hook sometime soon ;)
Yeah, that kind of facial animation thing doesn't bother me too much either. It's never been BioWare's strong suit, though the breadth of their games make that difficult. (It's easier to animate with a protagonist with a fixed appearance like in The Witcher, for example.) I'm about halfway through the story right now. What's everyone thinking of Mass Effect Andromeda so far? ✨🚀

Alex Lion I found the black widow sniper rifle the best n that's a milky way item
Shotgun - Dhan
Sniper - Black widow
AR - Sweeper or Sandstorm w/ laser beam .
Handgun - Ushior or Carniflex
I think you can disassemble older gun and that gives you back the augmentations so you can use them on newer models. Loving this game so far!
I'm gonna have to invest in better Heath and Shield bc these enemies rip through it like nothing
Great video. Very useful for someone like me who's brand-spankin' new to the ME series - especially the section on your starting "class."
Idk why I read bad reviews. This game is beautiful so far.
True!!!!!!
My gosh I wish I had watched this video before playing. I can't wait for my second play through. Great video!
O.M.G!!!! You are the first person so far that thinks like I do and uses the Nomad as a weapon. It's like G.T.A 5 in Space....... My sons and I always had a rally cry for any situation in any game no matter what happens. USE IT !!!!!!

Cryo Pod perks: unlocking the Forward Station recon also exposes nearly all the regional loot caches
Just FYI: If you deconstruct weapons you've crafted (instead of selling them), you get the augmentations back.

alyssa trujillo no
No you don't but you should just for the story. Andromeda isn't in the same league as the others at all
First 3 are really good games you should play them first you don't have to though but makes it more interesting.
This is a quality game
does the cryo pod perks that give you mining materials and research data always give you the same ones? My research one always gives me 100 milky way research.
Facehugger89 I'm gussing it's either RNG or there are unlocks for specific materials.
It's set for the research always Milky Way, for the minerals it's random... To a extent, it will be either common or uncommon ( which is semi rare and you get less of em) when you get the package
So the research is always milkyway? wish I knew that before hand I have like 2000 milkyway research data haha. Any way to change the cryo pods later?
Facehugger89 the only way to really get milky way in bulk barring a few rare research pods is though the avp, and you have a LOT of milkyway stuff you can get compaired to the other two types , and no cryo pods are permanent, but you can generally get most if not all by the end of a playthough if you keeping up with quests
There's actually 10 LVL's per weapon/armor
That's true but only in new game+ and multiplayer.
Ha, hadn't unlocked higher levels when we made the video. Thanks for pointing this out!
No problem. Have fun exploring and crafting to your heart's content.
New game+?????Amazing!!!!!
How do you pull up the weapon wheel??
I am just about to start a brand new play through of the game after getting about 10ish hours in and getting stuck on a puzzle when the game first released....... wish me luck!!! that is if my playstation decides that it will download the game. been getting corrupt files since I've tried reinstalling the game tonight....
Number74er how is it so far? I bought it yesterday, but not going to touch it before I complete Valhalla.
Is there lots of things to do in beautiful environments?
A wonderful game. Thanks for the tips!
The Nomad as a huge cover is one of the first things I realized... I almost felt like I was cheating
What is that little drone that keeps following the character what class is that for
That comes with the Engineer class - you need to invest in tech powers. It recharges your tech powers and self-destructs when enemies come near.
Are there only desert areas in the game??
not a major tips but helpful, best tip is buy some Vanadium and Uranium and craft best gear in early game.
I’ve only just started the game and I’m new to the series so I’m very confused. I just chose the default male character to start with so I’m not sure what I started with but I’m getting a little understanding now. Nice video.
it is good to spend all your points so you can find what you want in loot
Great and Awesome video !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
best explorer profile build advice?
Thanks
does anyone know what the armor from the thumbnail is?
Maverick Armor
When you salvage a crafted weapon, all the augments you used will be returned. So blow away on level 1 echematics :-)
I dont hate this game but loved mass effect 2 more

Tried everything in this game
can i really just use 3 abilities? or is there so kind of favouritemechanic?
I see you're playing as the Trivago guy
I just finished the game, no upgrades.
so how do I turn my PC on? 🤔 Its great to have these commentaries but us "older" new to this game (like me!) gamer still trying to absorb and understand the icons & do dads. 🤪🤪🤪

I love her voice.
I want to play it but I have no money.
steal some bro
There are no mints in grandma's purse Johnny.
Lol just bought it for 16$
Bad advice on crafting. If you put an augmentation on a weapon then deconstruct the weapon you get it back. No need to wait until level 5 weapon to add mods... go ahead and use it on first rank, then deconstruct when you get the next rank
the Rover is sweet
huge thanks😶😊😋
So a list of common sense items. Got it!
Fab vid squid

And people say they don't want the game because of the facial animations. You could spend hundreds of years on this game haha
Pink n yellow armor on an old tanned guy...lol
If combat fitness to 5 then you get another gun holster
sexy aliens to kill and bad aliens to romance.
that voice though
Never use the Richochet System Augmentention on a weapon, it's absolutely terrible.
joseMMunozzz if u put it on the paw,you can shoot ppl behind cover by shooting over their head, the lazer bounces back n hits em in the back it's epic
Aren't we all beginners to Andromeda?
I really hope they make a base building dlc or something even better
If you deconstruct a weapon you get your mod back, so craft away.
my face is tired.
I am just using guns until I understand the rest. There is a lot to grasp about biotics and tech.😢
gun levels can go above 5 video it's wrong
Good vid! That color scheme though, atrocious lol
Ha! Nice to know that even with hundreds of extra years to develop it, our dress sense is still terrible.
Hilarious to listen to you Brits say "inventory "😂😂😂😂
Chaz Tunkmonkey You say toemaaato, I say tomato 😉
Aluminum is funny to hear too.
Chaz Tunkmonkey we don't all say it that way buddy
Joe Bloggs proton weasels?
+madscientistshusta??
there is no real reason to get ahead in Mass Effect Andromeda but ok :D
weapons 10 ranks btw...
Hi
Pink & beige armour? Seriously?
i beated the game last night
the sad part is. I had the same guns that you start with in the beginning of the game. but now i'm starting to craft guns and armor now.
Yeah man! I have IV N7 armour with some pretty ruthless crafted weapons by the time i got to vloed I'm just finishing up that planet now
my ears are still ringing after this, maybe the commentator should keep her distance from the mic.
My AI squad mates suck
duh pull & throw are a proper combo
Hello I'm the tenth! So happy never watched a video this early
Ahead what?
I think your turtle neck is a bit tight.

This is so played on easy
The voice is so anoying.
Can you go 2 octaves down with your voice, please? ^^
why is that guy wearing lipstick?
