Piranha shotgun with plasma seeking augment is my go to and the black widow. The asari sword also has invincible frames. Insanity difficulty was a breeze with this setup and my build was sentinel, overload incinerate and energy drain. Tech and fire combos all day. The mods I'd add to my weapons and gear would be tech recharge. For example my sword would give 25% tech recharge. With a few deviations for example that piranha shotgun. However as you will have noticed that setup is bad vs one thing. Ascendants, so I switched to my infiltrator profile with the previously mentioned black widow. Skills were, cloak, turbocharge and overload (stunning targets allowing for easy headshots)
GameSpot you have to try the N7 pirahna shotgun with extra damage mods and all the shotgun skills in combat with armour that boost damage stats... this gun is a beast
I've tried those guns in those configurations with a lot of level 60+ skills and that game play does not look like insane difficulty. Those guns will not kill that fast especially the "vampire gun".
I would love to mess with building weapons, resources aren;t a problem but research points is a huge problem. I kinda wish you could buy or find large caches of research data.
Isharay with armor piercing mod and vintage heat sink. All I use. As an infiltrator they can run but never hide, can even clear a room without opening the door.
2 Black Widows with vintage heat syncs, because its faster to change weapon than to let it cool and by the time you've used both rounds on the second the 1st is ready to fire again.
*@emmanuel pastoral* Created it 3 days before Rizzit's video but without the plasma seeking mod. Switched to using the plasma mod since his video mentioned that there is no damage drop off over range with it.
Equalizer SMG with Aerial mod, the one that increases fire rate when hovering. When a big enemy charges towards you, just jump up, hover and unload. Since its a big target at point blank range, you wont need to worry about bullet spread. You can also mod it with grenades so you can feel like Pharah from Overwatch. JUSTICE RAINS FROM ABOVE.
Buddy. The angaran market is on AYA. Not havarl. Figure it out. I also find it weird how they can score a game so low then push out so much fucking content for it.
Degrees Beliw I agree %100. I've sunk a lot of hours into the game, and it's super enjoyable. I really don't get how they gave it a 6/10, but judging by how much content they're pushing out on MEA, it looks like they don't get how they did that either lol
bob bill yea my first playthrough clocked at 74 hrs now im on my insane playthrough. I can understand the reviewer having to put aside his taste to judge the technical issues, and if he was a die hard fan of the original trilogy. this game mightve been to "happy". thats the reasoning im seeing alot. people saying ME is supposed to be a serious suicide mission game like 2 and 3
Love how you have to start every ME:A video with a little jab about how you didn't like the game. You know what? If you didn't like it, don't play it, and don't make videos about it. I think the world will more than live without another gamespot video.
GameSpot is an office with a wide variety of opinions. While I actually agree with the overall review score, I think there's still a lot to enjoy in the combat of Mass Effect Andromeda. I love to work with people who disagree with me. What does Andromeda score in your opinion?
What? Gamespot isn't a cool independant youtuber buddy. They are a wide office of people among them editors producers etc. Your saltiness blinds your common sense.
Aaaand because they are in your recommendations you have to click them? That's weird when I see something I don't like I don't watch it and complain about it...
ExKorpio "if i see something I dont like I dont watch it and complain about it". Eh this whole comversation came up from you watching a coment and complaining about it ( bit condescendingly, judging by the use of "buddy"). Not here to argue just pointing that out.
There's only one gun you need in this game. The N7 Valkyrie assault rifle with an auto-fire mod and a bio-converter. That's it. The base damage is extremely high, it's extremely accurate and the auto-fire mod boosts the rate of fire to at least 800RPM if I had to guess. Obviously it loses damage from the auto-fire attachment but not enough to make it NOT the best milky-way gun in the game. There's no recoil control needed at all. Close range, medium range, long range, it doesn't matter. You can tap fire it, burst fire it in 3-5 shot bursts or just hold the trigger down and there's like NO bullet spread on the thing, and hardly any recoil at all. Honestly, it reminds me of how OP the Cerberus Harrier was in ME3. It's that good, maybe even better. Things just melt because of how high the DPS is. It's the perfect "all-around" gun because it handles every situation. You could carry this one gun on you for the entire game with no backups and you'd have ZERO issues at any point.\ I'm not a huge fan of ME:A, let's be honest. The story is crap, and there's so many frustrating aspects of it because you can see that this game could've been so much better, possibly even a generation-defining title. But there's just so many things that feel lazy about it. The foundation of the game is there and it's solid, but everything on top of it feels lazily done. This could've easily been a 10/10 game in the same ranks as the original trilogy or hugely popular games like Witcher 3. The problem is the writing and the lack of any real clear story arch. In the original trilogy, you always felt like you were a part of a grand story, something you can get behind. There was a clear goal, a clear enemy, the story was focused with a beginning-middle-end and it was easy to follow and get sucked into. ME:A by comparison is just sort of all over the place. It's more "sandbox" for lack of a better term and not really in a good way. The story feels scattered. Here we are, millions of light years away from home, with limited supplies and no way of ever going back to the safety of the milky way, with a hostile alien race threatening to destroy us and you NEVER ever feel like the Andromeda Initiative is in danger, or that the player is. As soon as you land and put down a single outpost, it's like all our troubles are gone and everyone is safe aside from those annoying kett guys. There's never any real sense of dread or danger. Not really. That never made any sense to me. Then there's a lot of other things that don't make much sense at all. The Krogan look and sound nothing like Krogan from the original trilogy. The females I can understand, but the male Krogan are shorter, they have these weird BRIGHT colored faces and they don't sound like Krogan at all other than Drack. The Turians also have an extremely bright white bone plate on their faces, unlike any turian from the original trilogy. Every Asari in the game has the same exact facial model, just with different paint colors. There's constant back-tracking. Why do I have to LEAVE the planet in order to get back on the ship to talk with someone on my team who requested a meeting? Now I have to watch another loading clip of the ship leaving, talk to the crew member for 5 seconds, then go back down to the planet to finish what I was doing? There's so many moments like that in the game and it quickly gets annoying and it interrupts you constantly. You should've been able to board the tempest with it still LANDED on the planet, then simply walk back outside and back to the NOMAD. The Remnant still remain a giant mystery even at the end of the game and the Kett too for that matter. You never really connect with any of the characters in this game, none of them are as memorable as Garrus, Wrex or Liara for example. Drack was the only character I enjoyed. All that complaining aside though, the combat and crafting system is the one saving grace of this game that has gotten me to play through it 2 or 3 times now. The combat IS really good, all things considered. The movement feels great, the guns feel and sound great although as you progress later in the game enemies start to feel like bullet sponges but there's certain weapon combinations and modifications that let you get around that. If the story and small things were as good as the combat, this would've been a critically acclaimed game with at least a 9/10 ranking. Instead, it was a flop because it's very rare that an RPG is going to work without a fantastic story to keep the user "connected" to the experience. I sincerely hope the next Mass Effect Game either goes back to the Milky Way galaxy. It could show the milky way rebuilding after the reaper war with old factions are still present like the Alliance, but maybe we have new players involved trying to swoop in and take advantage of a galaxy not quite on it's feet yet. It could show that the once powerful and technologically advanced races of the milky way have been reduced down to more basic and primitive societies. There's so many things they could write there in the events following ME3. I just don't really know what else they can do with previous plot elements of ME:A should they make a new game in the future. It felt open-ended sure, but the story was such a flop that you have to wonder if it'd be better to just scrap everything and go back to the milky way to see what's left of it. That's what more people are invested in thanks to the original trilogy.
My suggestion for sticky bomb is Valkyrie. You wont lose that much damage and if you aim at the body, the recoil might plant the second shot on the head.
Isharay X with bio-converter and a few kinetic coils with sniper skills maxed out and soldier profile should give you 40 clip size of ~2000 damage per bullet (before you die), more than enough for any enemy you come in contact with. Bonus : in your skill tree, have combat fitness - regen + in the trenches, team support - life support and you can take on an army of insane level enemies from a distance behind cover with practically 100+ sniper ammo.
Sticky Grenade augments work really well on sniper rifles I've found, particularly the remnant ones. Yeah I know HUR DUR all you use is remnant. Ammo crates are the bane of my existence.
Equlizer SMG with +2 mod slot augment, electric current augment, and bio converter. Electric infinite range pistol of doom that has an infinite death beam
MakoRuu agreed, I started using this halfway through 1st play through. just tears through armoured targets. build up damage resistance and combine with maximising shields on armour. gonna try bio converter on the ushior pistol as well to see if that's as good.
@asjslade1980 Tried it on Ushior Nope... not as good as Isharay You paid the same price (1 ammo 5% health) but Ushior is far far weaker than Isharay (Same level) You better use normal black widow / widow instead of Ushior And i prefer use Carnifex / Eagle instead Ushior for a partner with Isharay
MakoRuu if you're gonna use a Bio-converter on any weapon then maybe consider getting the Tech perk that gives you immediate health Regen when you fire off any tech ability, that way you can off set any health drain the converter costs you.
Yeah, definitely. And the passives in Tech and Combat also increase health regen. So technically, if you built an Infiltrator right, you could essentially have unlimited ammo and health with the Isharay.
"Alec's Carbine" N7 Valkyrie/Pathfinder Pioneer Rifle, Vintage Heatsink, double mod extension. Combine that with an extended clip, scope, barrel, and receiver of your choice. Good for laying down fire and picking off people at a distance, and was quite satisfying to use.
remnant scattershot shotgun with plasma charge system, shield occilator, and a clip size reducing receiver mod. basically shields forever. saw the build on StarFlorge,s channel and tried it myself. it is ridiculously awesome.
piranha shotgun with seeking plasma, short range, but it's fun to watch enemies dance when you have the incendiary ammo on and they think they are in cover!
Does anyone use the vintage heat sink mod? Harken back to old days of the good old M-7 Lancer assault rifle or the (M-2? Not sure if this was the actual letter/number) Kessler, or even the Spectre Master Gear of the HWMSG, the HWMP or the HWMSR. Slap on Light Ammo Clip mods (much bigger than the standard mods) and never have to worry about ammo shortages again. Also, it will be interesting to see what weapon DLC's shall be done for the game. Personally, I hope they give us the Avenger XX that you see in various cutscenes
Scattershot Shotgun+ Shield Oscillator+ Plasma Charge System + Mod that reduces clip size on a vanguard/adept build. I run that with a Reegar Carbine, Valkyrie, Black Widow, and Asari Sword (all fitted with +biotic damage and a double mod slot aug).
"Hey, we gave Mass Effect: Andromeda a 6, but that certainly won't keep us from leeching out constant videos for clicks, because hey hypocrisy matters not when you can make a quick buck!" Gamespot: hipster trash reviews
Best weapon of the game is by far the Sandstorm Assault Rifle fully researched with double mods and accents. Then add your own assault rifle mods ( 4 options now ) to make a killing machine gun............... Always get and develop the Piranha shot to it full potential and multiple mods to accent it's already maximum damage. And that's all you need. But why stop there. Get a fully developed and modded Ishtar sniper rifle with all the mods it can handle and you are set to kill anything that stands before you.........................
put shield oscillators on every gun and your chest piece combine with n7 armor for boosted shield strength and then whenever you kill someone or empty a clip you regen shields and just become jesus
The only gun I use is a Dhan shotgun, and that is pretty infrequent. Mostly Biotic charge and Asari Sword. Maxxed-out Vanguard and melee are all you need.
Black widow; vintage heat sink, larger magazine buffs, upgraded tactical cloak (increased damage and lingering effects) or turbo charge. Can head-shot almost anything and never have to reload or slow down. I call it the boom stick. Any temporary weapon damage modifiers help with one shots
Hornet, its all you need when it comes to armored enemies. It shreds them like hot knife on butter. I am amazed how much they buffed the gun. In ME3 recoil was so high only Cerberus trained troops could fire it well. Now it packs same punch with zero recoil. What more you can ask?
My go to was the Isharay with the Shield Oscillator. Every shot you fired restored 25% of your shields. Then pop in the augmentation that gives you 2 extra mod slots and you can stack all the mods that give better bonuses in exchange for reduced rate of fire or clip size. Who cares about clip size and rate of fire when you only ever have 1 in the chamber. With the infiltrator allowing you to see enemies through walls and cover, there were times I cleared out entire buildings without opening the door because of armor penetration. Further combine it with Turbocharge and you can double tap and get back double the shields.
Remnant scattershot shotgun with plasma charge, shield oscillator and a receiver to reduce clip size. With this, i recharge 25% of my shield every time i shoot. Then when enemy shield is down, you 'charge' or 'pull' them in and use the remnant cryo gauntlet, freeze the enemy on the spot for an easy and safe finish. Black widow sniper for clearing sites from a distance works great. My insanity playthrough was fairly easy, starting it at lvl 61 and finishing it at lvl 88.
The Dhan Shotgun with Vintage Heat sink and damage modifiers and Shield Oscillator, Black Widow with Bio Converter and Full Health and Shield 20% damage increase, and the Paw with the Bio converter and clip size mod. Beasts.
N7-Crusader with bio converter, Kett Carfalon, with Vanguard profile. Non stop slugs to the face while alternating between melee and charge to keep shields and health up. Since the Carfalon gives health back with each hit AND shields with Vanguard profile, you're not suffering for having a bio converter at close range.
a sidewinder pistol with the shield oscillator augment. Make sure you have as little clip size possible. As the icing on top of the cake, use turbocharge while shooting! You'll dispense an entire clip within moments, giving you 25% shields back, all the while doing some great damage with semi-auto firing canon bolts basically.
n7 piranha with vintage heatsink and seeking plasma rounds. If specced right you'll get 7 shots before overheating and the plasma seeking helps with the accuracy at medium range. Combine that with a hell of a punch, fast fire rate, and unlimited ammo, and you'll have a death machine for close to medium range. (combine with melee mod and vanguard profile for absolute destruction)
I use the Plasma Charging System and Vintage Heat Sink augmentations on any gun with a high clip size. You get unlimited Plasma grenades and you can even charge the shot to shoot Three at one time.
Isharay with Battery augment from the remnant (the one that eliminates ammo, and uses a percentage like some remnant weapons) compine that with full ranks in Snipers and Turbocharge.
One gun I crafted was the Space Cowboy, the idea came when I thought about combining the Sidewinder with a beam emitter, not that effective but whatever
P.A.W, bio-converter, and shield oscillator(?). the one that gives 25% shield when you empty clip if put on weapon and 25% sield on kill if put on chest
N7 Valkyrie with mods that boost powers when ammo is full. Any light sidearm to keep you at 100% power recharge. Played my insanity with a Sentinel build of pull, energy drain (primer/detonator upgrade) and lance and also a remnant cryo gauntlet. Spam the powers for double detonators with full ammo for extra damage, use pull and cryo to stall enemies that close in on you, unload your Valkyrie when you are not trying to get a combo off, and reload right before detonating for max combo damage. This steamrolled me through the game. Only difficulties I had were with armor-only enemies and architects, in which case I switched to a pure Engineer build with energy drain, incinerate (primer/detonator upgrade), and overload. Same weapon load out for both styles.
maybe if you had done an actual full play through and examination of the crafting system before writing a review, you wouldn't need to get all your tips from commenters. What did you guys say about weapon variety in the review again? that you had no idea what you were talking about
-M37 Falcon with seeking plasma and vintage heatsinks -Remnant Sweeper Rifle with Seeking plasma' N7 Piranha with seeking Plasma Dhan Shotgun (I actually don't recommend seeking Plasma It actually makes your shots less accurate at close range, which where I mainly use the Dhan.) Black Widow Sniper Rifle Isharay Sniper Rifle I use the aug that gives 20% extra dmg with full health and shields with both Sniper Rifles. I also use the Bio-Aug with the Isharay. Never tried with the widow.
I use a PAW with sticky grenades. Never thought about the bio converter but using Turbocharge let's you instantly refill the magazine and make more stuff more deader more faster
My favorite is the Ishiray with the Bio-Converter. Turns it into semi auto sniper. Of coure like any bio-converter gun you need the regen in combat fitness and Life Support in the Team Suppot in Tech to help with health but love it
You wanna a gun that rips people to shreds? N7 Pirhanna Shotgun Seeking Plasma Vintage Heat Sink Kinetic Coils coming out of your ears, that includes on your melee weapon. You now have a 3-8 round fully automatic shotgun, with no damage fall-off, that locks on to enemies through cover. plus with the vintage heat sink you have no ammo constraints and can still use powers if you overheat.
The first gun seems interesting, I use the PAW often but usually disappointed with DPS. Regenerating health in this game is really slow though, any suggestions for getting it up?
Dhan shotgun with seeking plasma is one of my favorites. Once I found that augmentation I admit I've not tried too many others that change the rounds. Though I did like the electric bolts on one of my pistols for a while. The laser bolts don't do as well. Definitely gonna try out Black Widow and the asari sword when I do a sniper build tho.
I've found that if you like a power build, using Lance with shield powered, barricade and annihilation seems to simply decimate everyone especially with an asari sword and a piranha shotgun with seeking plasma
remnant Scattershot shot gun with shield oscillator to restore shields after reload, using Vanguard profile and asari sword. im carving through the front lines like butter
Haven't started my insane play through yet but im in love with the Piranha with the ricochet mod installed quite literally melts everything and you barely even have to aim.
Nope just look in the general direction of whatever you wanna melt and be it the ground the ceiling or a wall 95% time most of your bouncy bullets will hit what's infront of you and what's behind it :)
Dhan with seeking plasma but I relied on my powers (charge, annihilation field, lance) and asari sword more. Made for mowing anything down that couldn't grab me a trivial task. Groups of baddies were better because there was always something to charge / slice / combo detonate
All of the original ME games had great individual stories of their own, and not just the trilogy as a whole. Don't get me wrong I actually think Andromeda's is good too but just not as good as the first 3.
There is no way it's worse then ME2's story. ME2 main story was go from point a to b and kill things.. then kill things some more. See a human smoothie. then kill a contra 3 boss. Story wise the only thing good about ME2's story was the characters stories.
I rock a Black Widow with style. Stick a mod on it to go through some types of cover... and they literally cannot hide from you. Sure you can't shoot them through a truck, or something thick. But those mods give you 1.0 meter at least. Couple that with the Infiltrator profile's "sight" ability that allows you to see through walls and... railings? Thin walls? Some angles of thicker covers? Boom. Headshot. It feels oh so satisfying to utterly ignore cover with impunity.
Rozerad SMG. With the right mods you can get the clip over 150 rounds and it's ROF is insane. Add augments for more mods or the unlimited ammo bio converter and everything just melts at close range.
For Insane Difficulty: Isharay with Bio Converter which will suck away life but that's fine, make health auto-refill with +20% Regen from Combat Skills and +50 Regen from Tech Skills and wear the Maverick Deadeye Armor with the huge headshot bonus and fit the armor with as many +2% Health Regen Delay with +2% Shield Regen Delay mods as possible.
Seeker Plasma Equalizer with a Clip boost mod, Removes the guns "Less damage with range" Flaw of the "Out the Box" model and has the benefit of firing in Full auto with next to no recoil as compared to the Sweeper, and the damn thing can Keep Firing for what seems like forever with the Bigger Mags from mods and Skill points (and still only takes two seconds to fully recharge) The Reeagar with a Shield Sensor is also very Fun, you're gonna be up Close and getting hit while you use it anyway, so might as well get some free ammo for your Trouble, and it doesn't come with the Flaw of the Vintage Heat Sink that reduces Clip capacity in half to boot even better, you can use Both together without encumbering yourself at all if you have the right Skill perks (I also have an Inferno on top of it for Long range, when I don't feel like Charging in Guns Blazing, And still no Recharge Penalty...the 7+ Round self recharging clip is nice too considering it's low Recoil... I'm not a very good shot, so the Rapid fire Semi-Auto Infinite ammo is a Big help to me Long range XD)
suggestion: bobba fett build - flamethrower, concussive shot(rocket to detonate flamers priming)and turbocharge for some pew pew action, weapon of choise is Thokin with areal lubricant mod and passives speced into hover
The most fun build I have found for insanity is: Annhilation w/ damage attractor and vortex. Any enemy near you is lifted up and takes extra damage. Offensive biotics will increase the extra damage further. Energy Drain keeps you in the action by restoring shields And turbocharger rounds out the build, because... The soned with seeking and bio-converter will shred any enemy is seconds. The clip is massive, and automatically replenishes at a cost to health. You never have to stop shooting ever, never ever, ever You can kill a fiend, toe-to-toe, on insanity, in 15-ish seconds
As an Adept......I try to avoid bio converters if possible.....and with many experiments the PAW and the sweeper are pretty sad....the scattershot is a unique niche for keeping a constant shield but as for the best assault rifle I have found is the N7 Valk with beam emitter and heat sink.......it is like the PAW but with five times the damage. Give it a try. Nope the Remnant weapons are pretty weak.........but the Valk set up properly is a beast. I also find that 99 percent of the time any enemy is down before the weapon goes into overheat......and if it does no big deal just charge across the map to another enemy......by that time all is well again. The hornet with auto fire is a beast too......worry not about the damage reduction with auto fire as the fire rate is up around 1400 and it just melts stuff. Nope other than the scattershot used for one purpose with shield occ and receiver mod to reduce the clip to one........the remnant weapons are pretty sad. Yep......try the N7 Valk with beam emitter and heat sink........I think you will be quite impressed. Put the heavy mag mod on it also......more ammo in the clip the longer you can fire before it overheats and with the heavy mag it seldom ever does. Cheers!!
Did an Insanity speedrun just only doing main story missions, and so I never had enough research points to make a decent gun. But I will say I got a tier 10 Hornet pistol and it was much better than I was expecting.
Insanity difficulty... and I played that from day one. My loadout was pretty terrible. I grabbed the deluxe weapons and stuck with the pistol and assault rifle the whole way through. Threw the seeking plasma and vintage heat sink augments on those. I rely on power combos much more.
Dhan + Bio conversion + tactical cloak / tech health regen perk = wrecking plasma ball shotgun with high dps, no reload times, and each kill grants a cloak with health regen. combine with turbocharge for even higher DPS.
Only 2 weapons you need on insanity. Full auto with bio-converter N7 Valkyrie, and seeking plasma full auto with bio-converter Dhan shotgun. 5% health drawback can be easily healed by Cora with her rank 6 shield boost, just make sure you position her right by you. Both guns melt the bosses with turbocharge in 10s.
OMG you quoted me! Right on. Its not high damage but try Equalizor with sticky grenade... Oddly it shoots perfectly straight and has infinite range when you put that on it.
I use the tactical cloak upgraded so I can heal while camoed. His helps me hide for a second then charge to get shields back. Also I found an armor upgrade that powers come back 50% slower but instantly on kill.
To be able to kill the architects in Eos and Voeld i used a kett minigun with extra clip size and stability mods and the combat fitness perk da adds dmg per hit of assault rifles the target takes (it would have a magazine size of about 400 so imagine all the coumpounded increase in dmg befor the reload). Made the leg destroying part so easy it never even had time to summon more robots.
With the new 1.08 patch I built a full auto M-25 Hornet. Tears most enemies pretty quick but ammo reserves can be an issue. (So I also bring a remnant weapon) Though adding a Bio-converter on the right build will make it even better.
I put the stick bomb on sweeper and does awesome multiple close together and if they hide behind something shoot the ground beside the lager clip more boom
N7 Piranha with the Bio-converter and seeking plasma mods. Still a huge fan of the Isharay Sniper with the Heat Sink, thinking about putting plasma charge system.
i haven't played hard on insanity yet, but i had a hornet with the beam emitter and it was melting everything so fast i felt so dirty : / then i decided t take it to the next step, made a n7 valiant sniper rifle with a beam emitter. at least on normal u can take out any prefect/ascended shield enemies with the rotating ball in under 1 reload. i also used +30 something % dmg increase when hovering, i used increase hover duration and increase tech dmg when hovering mods. incinerate was so fun after that :)
Insane was terrible early on but the Isharay with Bio and tactical cloak is great. Also I think this is easier than past games because of the open nature. You can control the battlefield much easier. I remember getting rushed all the time in previous entries and having to kill very quickly.
Talon pistol-Plasma Charge System,Ricochet System or Soned assault rifle-Seeking Plasma System also ammunition and their augment on crafting is OP AF you are welcome guys.
Get 2 Isharay Sniper rifles both with vintage heat sink. Quickswap between them after every shot. After you fire 1 Isharay, the other will have cooled down. Insane dps and long range burst from the safety of cover, plus infinite ammo. It's not bad at close range either if you aim first with hip fire then akm down sights the milisecond before firing. If you get sniper rifle skill up to rank 4 for weight reduction and combat fitness for more weight capacity, you can even afford to take a hurricane, hornet, or talon pistol too without reducing your skill recharge much, if at all.
Have you played on Insanity difficulty? What are your weapons of choice?
GameSpot hurricane with freezing gauntlet
Piranha shotgun with plasma seeking augment is my go to and the black widow. The asari sword also has invincible frames.
Insanity difficulty was a breeze with this setup and my build was sentinel, overload incinerate and energy drain. Tech and fire combos all day. The mods I'd add to my weapons and gear would be tech recharge. For example my sword would give 25% tech recharge. With a few deviations for example that piranha shotgun.
However as you will have noticed that setup is bad vs one thing. Ascendants, so I switched to my infiltrator profile with the previously mentioned black widow. Skills were, cloak, turbocharge and overload (stunning targets allowing for easy headshots)
the default assault rifle and vanguard
GameSpot piranha with seeking plasma system is pretty nuts
GameSpot you have to try the N7 pirahna shotgun with extra damage mods and all the shotgun skills in combat with armour that boost damage stats... this gun is a beast
I bought Andromeda and I would buy a sequel. I'm sad that spoiled reviewers ruined any chance of seeing that.
Soooo many weapons and mods to choose from... loving this!
Wow, Can't believe I got a shout out lol
Thanks for the suggestions.
I've tried those guns in those configurations with a lot of level 60+ skills and that game play does not look like insane difficulty. Those guns will not kill that fast especially the "vampire gun".
We tested all the weapons on normal and insanity. Some of the footage is from normal so that we could show the difference. Good eye.
I would love to mess with building weapons, resources aren;t a problem but research points is a huge problem. I kinda wish you could buy or find large caches of research data.
"Those of you not daunted by our review score..." That's a weird way to start a video.
love this game its great ! no idea why reviews where so low !!
Isharay with armor piercing mod and vintage heat sink. All I use. As an infiltrator they can run but never hide, can even clear a room without opening the door.
Is it possible to do that on insanity?
Yep. Just gotta hit those crit spots like a good sniper should.
Love this video. Always good to hear what weapons others are using to smash insanity difficulty
2 Black Widows with vintage heat syncs, because its faster to change weapon than to let it cool and by the time you've used both rounds on the second the 1st is ready to fire again.
Piranha with seeker plasma mod and bio converter!
We need more N7 Piranha!
This thing is ridiculous on insanity
GreatDane3391 Absolutely! That's the gun I finished my Insanity run with.
RIzzit's load out gun.
I also find it weird how they can score a game so low then push out so much fucking content for it.
bob bill because dispite its technical failures it is still a really fun game.
It's all about the hits... Negativity bring hits, fans bring hits. It's win win for Gamespot.
I can understand the reviewer having to put aside his taste to judge the technical issues, and if he was a die hard fan of the original trilogy. this game mightve been to "happy". thats the reasoning im seeing alot.
people saying ME is supposed to be a serious suicide mission game like 2 and 3
Because they reviewed it fast to get it out there and KNOW the game is fucking awesome now!!
Berzerk Llama wrf does that have to do with my comment? amd if they are so shitty why do you keep coming?
Aaaand because they are in your recommendations you have to click them? That's weird when I see something I don't like I don't watch it and complain about it...
ExKorpio "if i see something I dont like I dont watch it and complain about it". Eh this whole comversation came up from you watching a coment and complaining about it ( bit condescendingly, judging by the use of "buddy"). Not here to argue just pointing that out.
"Reeger because sometimes machines are dicks" I am dying! Like button clicked
The Angara market is on Aya not Havarl
You could carry this one gun on you for the entire game with no backups and you'd have ZERO issues at any point.\
I'm not a huge fan of ME:A, let's be honest.
Its the first part you absolute moron
Isharay with bio-converter.
MakoRuu agreed, I started using this halfway through 1st play through. just tears through armoured targets. build up damage resistance and combine with maximising shields on armour. gonna try bio converter on the ushior pistol as well to see if that's as good.
@asjslade1980
Tried it on Ushior
Nope... not as good as Isharay
You paid the same price (1 ammo 5% health) but Ushior is far far weaker than Isharay (Same level)
You better use normal black widow / widow instead of Ushior
And i prefer use Carnifex / Eagle instead Ushior for a partner with Isharay
MakoRuu if you're gonna use a Bio-converter on any weapon then maybe consider getting the Tech perk that gives you immediate health Regen when you fire off any tech ability, that way you can off set any health drain the converter costs you.
Yeah, definitely. And the passives in Tech and Combat also increase health regen.
So technically, if you built an Infiltrator right, you could essentially have unlimited ammo and health with the Isharay.
Spamming the Remnant VI skill to re-target procs the health restore and has no cooldown. And doesn't require an actual target.
"Alec's Carbine"
N7 Valkyrie/Pathfinder Pioneer Rifle, Vintage Heatsink, double mod extension.
Wish I had found this video years ago. The Dhan with auto fire and bio converter melts this on insanity. My favorite weapon.
Kind of reminds me of Dead Space 3 the way you can basically create a totally different gun with a bunch of mods.
put shield oscillators on every gun and your chest piece combine with n7 armor for boosted shield strength and then whenever you kill someone or empty a clip you regen shields and just become jesus
The only gun I use is a Dhan shotgun, and that is pretty infrequent. Mostly Biotic charge and Asari Sword. Maxxed-out Vanguard and melee are all you need.
agree with u
Add electrical conduits to the vampire gun and I'm sold.
What did you guys say about weapon variety in the review again? that you had no idea what you were talking about
-M37 Falcon with seeking plasma and vintage heatsinks
-Remnant Sweeper Rifle with Seeking plasma'
N7 Piranha with seeking Plasma
Dhan Shotgun (I actually don't recommend seeking Plasma It actually makes your shots less accurate at close range, which where I mainly use the Dhan.)
Black Widow Sniper Rifle
Isharay Sniper Rifle
I use the aug that gives 20% extra dmg with full health and shields with both Sniper Rifles. I also use the Bio-Aug with the Isharay. Never tried with the widow.
Dhan shotgun with power mods and the biomod that sacrifices health for reload.
N7 Valkyrie X with full auto and bonus damage to shields an armor mods surprisely op
The N7 piranha with seeking plasma bio converter and shield oscillator job done thats all you need
I use a PAW with sticky grenades. Never thought about the bio converter but using Turbocharge let's you instantly refill the magazine and make more stuff more deader more faster
My favorite is the Ishiray with the Bio-Converter. Turns it into semi auto sniper. Of coure like any bio-converter gun you need the regen in combat fitness and Life Support in the Team Suppot in Tech to help with health but love it
Thumbnail shows gun that is unobtainable in game...
Ace Archangel yeah whats up with that, that gun is in most of the in game cutscenes, but cant be found anywhere
The Avenger AAX5 is coming in a future update.
MakoRuu they said they would look into it but there was no confirmation.
or dlc
Spartan Rogue most likely such an EA move.
You wanna a gun that rips people to shreds?
N7 Pirhanna Shotgun
Seeking Plasma
Vintage Heat Sink
Kinetic Coils coming out of your ears, that includes on your melee weapon.
I use a dual mod slot upgraded isharay with vintage heat sinks to never run out of ammo and you won't cancel your reload while dodging
I've found that if you like a power build, using Lance with shield powered, barricade and annihilation seems to simply decimate everyone especially with an asari sword and a piranha shotgun with seeking plasma
Awesome video !
remnant Scattershot shot gun with shield oscillator to restore shields after reload, using Vanguard profile and asari sword. im carving through the front lines like butter
Haven't started my insane play through yet but im in love with the Piranha with the ricochet mod installed quite literally melts everything and you barely even have to aim.
Wouldn't you have to aim at something to ricochet the bullets off to make good use of that augment?
Nope just look in the general direction of whatever you wanna melt and be it the ground the ceiling or a wall 95% time most of your bouncy bullets will hit what's infront of you and what's behind it :)
Dhan with seeking plasma but I relied on my powers (charge, annihilation field, lance) and asari sword more. Made for mowing anything down that couldn't grab me a trivial task. Groups of baddies were better because there was always something to charge / slice / combo detonate
Mass Effect Andromeda has the weakest story in the Mass Effect series but it has the best gameplay. I'm having a lot of fun with this game.
Good point. Probably why there is so much debate over the score.
Sorry but me2 has the weakest story.
I don't understand the statement, Mass Effect 1 2 and 3 were all one story.
Why don't we let Andromeda get there as well?
All of the original ME games had great individual stories of their own, and not just the trilogy as a whole. Don't get me wrong I actually think Andromeda's is good too but just not as good as the first 3.
There is no way it's worse then ME2's story. ME2 main story was go from point a to b and kill things.. then kill things some more. See a human smoothie. then kill a contra 3 boss. Story wise the only thing good about ME2's story was the characters stories.
Soned + Heat Sink + Seeking Plasma augments = Architect Slayer.
Pirahna with the Seeking Plasma mod for when things are close, pair that with either the Black Widow or Vanquisher for ranged combat. Easy peezy.
Seeker Plasma Equalizer with a Clip boost mod, Removes the guns "Less damage with range" Flaw of the "Out the Box" model and has the benefit of firing in Full auto with next to no recoil as compared to the Sweeper, and the damn thing can Keep Firing for what seems like forever with the Bigger Mags from mods and Skill points (and still only takes two seconds to fully recharge)
The Reeagar with a Shield Sensor is also very Fun, you're gonna be up Close and getting hit while you use it anyway, so might as well get some free ammo for your Trouble, and it doesn't come with the Flaw of the Vintage Heat Sink that reduces Clip capacity in half to boot
even better, you can use Both together without encumbering yourself at all if you have the right Skill perks (I also have an Inferno on top of it for Long range, when I don't feel like Charging in Guns Blazing, And still no Recharge Penalty...the 7+ Round self recharging clip is nice too considering it's low Recoil... I'm not a very good shot, so the Rapid fire Semi-Auto Infinite ammo is a Big help to me Long range XD)
P.A.W. and Black Widow, my faithful companions through every battle
suggestion: bobba fett build - flamethrower, concussive shot(rocket to detonate flamers priming)and turbocharge for some pew pew action, weapon of choise is Thokin with areal lubricant mod and passives speced into hover
The most fun build I have found for insanity is:
Annhilation w/ damage attractor and vortex. Any enemy near you is lifted up and takes extra damage. Offensive biotics will increase the extra damage further.
Energy Drain keeps you in the action by restoring shields
And turbocharger rounds out the build, because...
The soned with seeking and bio-converter will shred any enemy is seconds. The clip is massive, and automatically replenishes at a cost to health. You never have to stop shooting ever, never ever, ever
You can kill a fiend, toe-to-toe, on insanity, in 15-ish seconds
I tried normal, it was too difficult lol. I put it on casual & I like it that way
Dhan + Bio conversion + tactical cloak / tech health regen perk = wrecking plasma ball shotgun with high dps, no reload times, and each kill grants a cloak with health regen. combine with turbocharge for even higher DPS.
The Naladen explosions graphics are the sexiest thing I've ever seen. Looks like a Fallout nuke with every shot!
Take that Black Widow and give it a Reciever and use it with the Infiltrator profile. Then laugh as your enemies pointlessly try to take cover.
I use the tactical cloak upgraded so I can heal while camoed. His helps me hide for a second then charge to get shields back. Also I found an armor upgrade that powers come back 50% slower but instantly on kill.
4:22 Wait, Reegar can do much dps to fiend in insanity? I tried once but it's hp bar barely move!
Black Widow with Vintage Heat Sink. No ammo worries while sniping. Also N7 Eagle with Seeking Plasma & Bio Converter. Much stronger than the Hurricane
With the new 1.08 patch I built a full auto M-25 Hornet. Tears most enemies pretty quick but ammo reserves can be an issue. (So I also bring a remnant weapon) Though adding a Bio-converter on the right build will make it even better.
Hornet smg with that new beam emitter and bio converter melts through everything, even while blind fire 🤤
Bio Converter Thokin with Turbocharge and 2 spammable Tech skills (EnDrain+Incinerate) for health/shield regen.
I put the stick bomb on sweeper and does awesome multiple close together and if they hide behind something shoot the ground beside the lager clip more boom
sidewinder pistol fun as hell to use with a extended mag and barrel upgrade
N7 Piranha with the Bio-converter and seeking plasma mods.
Still a huge fan of the Isharay Sniper with the Heat Sink, thinking about putting plasma charge system.
Dhan shotgun with bio converter and the tech passive that regens your health when you use a tech ability
i haven't played hard on insanity yet, but i had a hornet with the beam emitter and it was melting everything so fast i felt so dirty : / then i decided t take it to the next step, made a n7 valiant sniper rifle with a beam emitter. at least on normal u can take out any prefect/ascended shield enemies with the rotating ball in under 1 reload. i also used +30 something % dmg increase when hovering, i used increase hover duration and increase tech dmg when hovering mods. incinerate was so fun after that :)
Insane was terrible early on but the Isharay with Bio and tactical cloak is great.
Also I think this is easier than past games because of the open nature. You can control the battlefield much easier. I remember getting rushed all the time in previous entries and having to kill very quickly.
Sonid assault rifle with seeking plasma and retro thermal clip all you need in insanity
