Great video, Anthony. Love the Marina. Interesting to see an English car we did get here in Canada, even if it was badged as an Austin Marina here. One of Ma's friends had one. I think it was a 74, but I may well be wrong. Seems to me it was a fairly high spec car. She lived it until a problem with the gear linkage had it try to engage 1st and reverse at the same time, stripping both gears. I rode in another back in about 81, but only a couple of blocks. I did rather like it, but I'm just eccentric enough to enjoy odd little cars. Keep up the good work. It was grand to hear your voice again.
I had a 1977 Marina in a rather military shade of green. Decent enough car, did all that was asked of it. Build quality was not great though, and the roof headlining fell down around my wife's head on a speedy run one day. Retired it after an altercation with a bread van, and converted to Dolomites . Thanks for an interesting video. Good to see such an early car still on the road.
Really enjoyable video :) I remember the Marina well, my Grandad had one from 1975. It was a lovely car in sky blue, and the vinyl seats were nice and comfy.Looking forward to more great video's :)
There's something wrong with the transmission or diff with that car, you can hear a moaning that increases in frequency with your speed and the camera seems to be vibrating along with the transmission noise it's making could be the diff or gearbox but either way it needs looking at, I hope you don't mind me mentioning it 🤗
Simply by doing the brakes and setting them properly you will gain about 15 HP l... A lot with a maybe 60 hp engine ,,, but check that no2 cyl and no3 are not trading power ,, ¬ That lost a lot of these engines a lot of power ! //

The dashboard took me right back to my first car when I passed my test.
