Great Vidja…… I just received a 15.3” today. Just need a optic and barrel at this point. Leaning towards the 20 SS 6.5 C. Ordered a G SSA EX to replace the oe LMT trigger in the lower and. a G CH
Ssa e is a great upgrade. 20 in cm is nice, ive seen pretty good accuracy out of lmt chrom barrels as well. Depending on context of use for scope choices but vortex razor is usually the best choice
An odd approach by having multiple LMT MWS uppers. I took a different route by getting different scopes for the different barrels. I have the early version which is identical to the British MOD's L-129A1 minus the FDE furniture. For the 16" chrome lined, 1/10" barrel it came with I replaced the A2 flash hider with a Surefire SOCOM 3 prong muzzle device. The scope I use with this set up is the Trijicon Accupower 1-8x28mm FFP, and it makes a good, albeit heavy battle rifle/DMR. I paired the 20" 5R cut, 1/11.25" stainless barrel with an Arken EP5, 5-25x56mm, which transforms my MWS 308 into a SASS. As long as I mount the scopes in the correct T-mark after swapping barrels there is no shift of POI, which makes life easier. I next plan on getting the 24" 5R cut stainless, 6.5CM barrel and either a MK5 HD Leupold or another EP5. Both barrels with the proper load of 168 gr SMK or 175gr SMK are sub MOA, and I've been quite pleased thus far. Fortunately the range I am a member of, Recon by Fire in Rose, Ok. allows me to reach out to a maximum distance of 1,100 yards.
Nice setups and great you dont have POI shifts. You got good barrel examples too from LMT. Yes odd and expensive, but just that much easier to swap uppers in the field.
@@shaunstayfree5551 Where are you even finding all of these LMT products available? Anything LMT is typically made of "unobtanium" and hard to find anywhere. My MWS was an impulse purchase because it had shown up at my local gun-shop and I happened to walk in right after it was placed on display, so without hesitation I purchased it knowing I may never have that opportunity again. I was just able to source the 20" barrel early last year through Primary Arms of all places! Do you work for LMT or live in Eldridge, Iowa? Lol
@@92naz32 checkout the LMT reddit page, also online retailers like titandefense or v1tactical. LMT sell direct as well some of their inventory and run good sales at least a couple times per year

Are you able to get a weight for the bare 15.3” upper? I’m curious how much lighter it is than the LM8 or the quadski.
Thank you, yes I weighed it in the video and show the different weights. I think it’s about 2 ounces more if I recall without rewatching.

@@wolfbear572 yes titan finally sold all theirs, they were taking preorder fde and finally got them and they’re all gone. There should be another batch from LMT in the next 1-6 weeks to the retailers (my guess but I’m quite certain). Happy hunting, out of stock is a real drag to keep seeing

Dunno they trying to sell, probably contract overrun. They had 556 ones too but they all sold out
Their new muzzle brake is suppressor compatible. So they are closing out the old style. I bought five of them. Plus I bought their four position buffer tube for $21.95. Normally $59. It has the special Teflon coating inside. And has drain holes. Bought their end plate as well. $3.50. Guns are not in stock anywhere. Built a Aero Precision AR10. Using the LMT parts listed above. Plus Larue straight bow trigger, BA premium series twenty inch bull barrel, Dark Storm industries chrome lined bolt carrier, Luth precision stock and grip. War hammer Ambi charging handle. Going to buy a Daniel Defense AR 10 in 6.5 Creedmoor next. I also own a LWRC Repr in 308 Winchester with a sixteen inch barrel. Side charge. And it is extremely accurate.
How much does the 18” LM8 weigh?
I never weighed mine, but it should be very close to the mlok weight. If you need a more specific answer you can email LMT

@@5RWill Should be close and under 15lbs unless you hang a bunch of doodads.
I've read the LM8 is about 2-3 Oz heavier than the mlok.
