Great video!!!! I absolutely love my LMTMWS. It’s only downside is it’s weight but honestly I think that plays a big part in its reliability and durability. When you hold these guns you can feel the quality
How did you get the LMT MWS in 7.62 with a 20" barrel? You bought the barrel separately? I must have missed that part. Either that or they no longer offer it as a default package with the 20" barrel? So you have to buy the rifle and the extra barrel as an addon? Thanks for the comparison! Definitely always been fond of both but always leaned towards LMT as far as innovation goes (regarding their Enhanced Bolt and other products for the AR-15 platform).
Just bought the MLK MARS-H / 308 Came with 2 barrel system: 16" in 308 & 20" in 6.5 C Other than lighter weight in front when shooting standing up, no reason to shoot with less FPS. My next move when this LMT shows up i to sell the 16" barrel & buy the 20" in 308
My LMT doesn’t fully go into battery with a round in the chamber (depends if I release the slide or just let it go - it does then). If and when it does go into battery I cant pull the charging handle and eject the live round, unless I pull the CH hard-ish. What I am doing wrong? My ammo isn’t cheap but it might be low quality. It’s 168g federal ($20 a box). Help! Lol
my lmt was doing same thing but when it would chamber I couldn't eject without firing.LMT said it was tight throated and just needed to be fired wet for a hundred rounds or so.Said I could send it back and they would do it or I could.I decided to do it myself. They were right. I ran it very wet for a hundred rounds for break in and has been 100% since.I was a little put off with accuracy at first using federal 168 GMMchanged ammo and now routinely get sub min easilyeasy 1st hits on steel with fixed 5x at 600 yds
I recently got the MWS rifle and was HOPING that you could answer my question... I put my first 100 rounds through it. about 82 of them were failure to feed, sometimes it did not even pushed the bolt back enough to rechamber. I tried multiple magazines.... Is this a break in thing? Is it a lack of oil? I do think that, if the fault was mine, it was too little oil. I couldn't oil it more while at the range. Any suggestions?? I am using federal gold medal sierra 168 grain.
@@steffeness1 yes that’s the one. Honestly I am not too sure yet. I have only been able to put another 150 rounds through it, and it is cycling better but still jamming. I am only hoping that it will keep getting better and cycle within the next 200. I am going to the range this weekend or the next.
@@StefanSu91 Ok, you bought the MWS MARS-H then? Not the Battle Rifle version? The MARS-H right now is a $2900 gun. The battle rifle is $2800 now. Unfortunately, the only version of the Mars-H is in the 16" / 308 barrel. Not sure why anyone would prefer a 16" barrel vs a 20" - 24" barrel in 308? More FPS in that longer barrel. When mine arrives, I will want to sell the 16" barrel & buy a 20" + barrel. Any ideas in who might want a 16" LMT barrel, please let me know.
@@StefanSu91 Howe much did you pay for your LMT 6 months ago? I know the Knights Arm versions are way overpriced & according to Small Arms Solutions, or Military Arms Channel, the LMT is a step up.
@@steffeness1 i bought the mars-h. They’re both the same operating system so not sure why that matters? I may be mistaken. Anyway, I cut my barrel and welded the muzzle device to make it 16 inches/rifle legal. The reason for that is to use as a ‘battle rifle’ and from close to medium distances. It is extremely accurate even at that length. I can swap out to a longer barrel in a minute if I needed to use it for longer engagements. (I’m a prepper for fun, so my thought process was having a two in one rifle.)
I kinda disagree and think the knight might be better, and i say that because of the barrell mounting. You see with the quick barrel change its 2 screws were the threading can act as a weack point. Most of the pressure is either going forward or outward wich put pressure on what holds the barrel. Now a traditional barrel nut entirely goes all around the barrel and uses a chunk of the reciver for hold the barrel around but not front wile the nut holds it front making the barrel fit in my opinion alot tighter. Yeah the handguard may not be one peice but there can be handgaurds almost as durable or almost on par to the one peice upper . Combine that with how knights and other companys did with traditional barrel nut designs and you can get a better more accurate rifle. Somthing like a a sr25 that released on a si.uler date to this could be more accurate then the lmt.
@Andrei Valdez A drunk bastard with a room full of KAC and LMT But we did kill a ton of insurgents in Iraq during OIF 1-2 with the SR25, the SRs hold a high value due to GWOT.

Damn.
That's easily $10,000 on a table. Very cool video.
MRP will win. I love that invention from lmt. Makes a solid rifle.
Excellent,as always.tnx chris.
Im trading a dude a DSA parafal OSW and a mossberg 930 for a LMT MWS and i cant wait to get it.
As always great video and great information.

How do you like your MWS LMT now? Is it the MARS-H or Battle Rifle? 308 i assume?

Can i use any ar barrel for these lmt monolithic uppers or do i need a barrel from lmt?
Needs to be from LMT because of the proprietary gas tube and barrel attachment method
Jonathan S ok yea I figured I need one from lmt jus wanted to see for sure...I have the lmt mrp in 308...things a beast

SR for body-stacking pedigree
MWS for better value/versatility
"Body-stacking pedigree", who talks like that?
