I dunno, the waves look completely unnatural. Like bubbling lava rather than waves, which usually don't just pop straight up but have a strong lateral and uniform directionality to them.
This mod with the create mod would be awesome. Imagine you in a boat in Minecraft sailing the ocean with realistic waves. Although the water would go through the contraption because it's an entity but it would just look incredibly cool. I can imagine it now, a steam boat releasing realistic smoke from campfires in the chimney, and sailing across the ocean to a port with the waves becoming increasingly larger as you go through your voyage to your destination with storms happening, finally as you get closer to your destination the sea's become calmer and in the distance you see the port and the end of your adventure for now.

It’s terrifying to see realistic water moving those high waves in those very shallow bodies of water, and without any weight brakes on the shore, that’s really impressive thing makes it look just kind of wrong, but I’m sure they’ll get there someday too
I wish that if you tried sailing/swimming in a wave that’s coming towards you, it’ll push you back a bit, but if you sail/swim in the same direction as the wave, it’ll give you a speed boost. Even better, it would be cool if your boat could tip over if it comes across a steep enough wave, and you’d have to replace it in order to stay afloat.
Its interesting to me how they did this. Smoke, mobs falling and explosions can all be described mathematically but it doesnt seem possible to simulate the movement of water particles this well. But it also does not look like a looped grid pattern as seen in many other games. Very impressive

id love to see this mod combined with valkryien skies and then just get on a huge pirate ship thats actually affected by the waves, with another mod that makes oceans much larger and islands more plentiful
WoW! this is honestly one of the, if not the best and most realistic mod I have ever seen for Minecraft! it's this one, the RTX lighting and the sheer resolution of the textures itself, that competes for that!
Now I need this man to put all his realistic mods into Minecraft, that’s really testing the graphics card
Whoever made this needs to be hired
The coolest feature about this mod + shaders is that it will turn my graphics card into a stick of dynamite. Pretty neat.
Looks cool, i wonder if you can use the waves to do something cool except viasuals - maybe use them to make some sort of redstone contraption, it does move stuff up and down soo..
