Been wonderful to see Okami getting it's flowers in recent years, I remember playing it on PS2 when I was much younger and the game has been burned into my head ever since. Much appreciate the insight you provide into the localization as always!

Thank you for giving so much insight into JP-EN localization in that interview! OKAMI is an amazing game, it aged beautifully (っ˘ω˘ς )

Okami is like butter compared to Ocarina of Time. I absolutely adore OOT, it was my very first love, and definitely changed my life. But going back to it, yeah, its a little clunky. Some parts are sluggish.
Okami is a lot faster, sort of clearer. It flows. But they really have the same soul, in a way. I can see why you started this video with OOT. Okami is another love of mine, that I think I also enjoy more than Zelda

I was absolutely blown away when I played it for the PS2, I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! And I'm very glad you touched on the translation, honestly I would have been disappointed if you hadn't mentioned it! Sounds like the translators did the best they could for the time it was made, it would be fun to get a "cultural HD" retranslation or something, haha.

The same friend of ours has been trying to make me play Okami. I haven't even seen the main menu yet, even though I bought the game months ago, but your video brings the moment I play it closer :)
    Nice one

No game has ever made me lament that it was over. I was legitimately very sad when Ōkami ended. 💯/10 game.

Another great video about a fantastic game!
OOT is a great game, especially for it's time. I genuinely think it's aged well for how old it is, but I do think it's not the easiest game to get into if you didn't play it back in the day. I really enjoyed it when I was a kid but i couldn't call it the best Zelda personally, I don't enjoy replaying it as much as others in the series.
Okami blew me away when I played it on PS2, the style is gorgeous and the gameplay just kept getting better the further I got in. It's crazy to me how underrated it is and how solid it still is. The remaster is amazing and I'd recommend it hands down every time, especially to Zelda fans, it has that grand sense of adventure and a nice selection of unique dungeons.
I completely agree with your thoughts on Issun, he does take a little while to get used to, he's very chatty and hearing his high-pitched noise fire off so much at the start is a little overwhelming. It doesn't take long to actually liking him, as you say in your video; he's a full-fledged character and not just a stand-in for tutorials.
Great video with some interesting insights into the localisation. Now I want to replay it!

It's honestly amazing how well Okami aged. It was my first time playing it and I played for many hours at a time (๑>◡

Okami is the first game that ever made me cry, I think. I was like 13 and the ending got me. Easily one of my favourite games ever.

I remember playing this game blind and for the first couple hours I was so sure that it would end with Susanoo slaying Orochi - to my surprise, it just kept going and going... and i loved it
