@@Barbequeque How do I contact the Fuel Rats in game? Or, at all? I'm quite fresh to the game, still taking my first steps in the relative security of the Pilots Federation's starting grounds, but one day, I want to go out there. I won't go until I know how the fuel scoop works (don't spoiler!), but still, it can always happen that you miscalculate or accidentially misjump.
It's one thing to watch a video, but actually having a fuel rat to come and save your dumb ass is something else entirely. It's a magical moment in any gamer's life. The comraderie is palpable. It's a testament to humanity's empathy.
that same guy saved me to . verry helpfull guys those fuel rats . they should add a credits trade function into the game , so we can pay them for there help.
+paintballer198k fuel is cheap but when your stranded out of fuel with full cargo and bounty ready to collect credits and you lose your ship from no more fuel it hurts! All the time you put in( and fullfillment) goes out the window when you have to sacrifice your ship away in those cases trust me.
i never saw a rescue from the pilots pov. and i never knew that the ship voice says "incomming fluel". must sound so good to someone whos ship just booted up again
It's still cool to me that in odyssey, you'll hear NPC's say,"went traveling and ran out of fuel. Luckily one of the fuel rats was able to come help." And there's banners advertising Fuel Rats
Excellent video really good to see these guys in action. I often think I'd like to help but without something with a huge jump range, it seems like it would take me too long to be of any use.
I played 1984, Frontier 2 and now Elite Dangerous. All I need is a Fuel Scoop, I hope I never need your services. Though its positive that its free, but could be dangerous if someone decides to attack the helper. I love the Graphics. Still I miss the single player offline games.
Cats are actually pretty rare honestly, and when we do encounter one they usually only manage to scratch the paint job before we're clear of their weapons' range and jumping out. Besides, if they do manage to explode a rat, that's why we always fly with rebuy.
Fuel Rats: The AAA of E:D! A class act. Guess there are some nice people on the internet after all despite Penny Arcade's _"Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory" :-)
Why did your hull lose 2% when he jumped away. Do fsd jumps do damage if unshielded? What would cause the hull to spontaneously spark and pop and lose 2% if you are standing still doing nothing?
I'm going to wait to buy elite dangerous for another year even though it is out, i see stuff like this that shows how the game needs tow trucks added to the game.I keep seeing bad reviews but I know I'd have fun but I'd have just as much fun playing a free elite 1984 version still and so they have not really changed it enough to make that difference for me yet.
Yes there is an Xbox community. Not too sure if it’s very popular but I play elite dangerous on Xbox myself. To answer your question about if it’s hard, yes, at times it’s a huge grind but it’s very fun.
As a certified fuel rat myself, glad to see the community still loves us
I dont play elite dangerous but still, the work you all do is very respectable. Keep it up
The Fuel Rats are the coolest in-game community ever
@@Doomsdaystomp86 Well, if you download IRC, you can chat with em any time you like!

4:30 It's the little things like the sound of someone dropping from super-cruise that make this game so bloody cool.

Liam Tremmer fuel is cheap and some people just like to play their roll so a thanks is more than enough :P
Liam Tremmer they saved my ship too :D

normally look for hunting grounds close to stations.
sticking around stations may be fine for you but not for many people.
These guys just helped me, I had a full cargo as well could've lost a lot of money. ALL HAIL THE FUEL RATS!!!
i don't know where we all would be without the fuel rats i salute them o7
As a fuel rat I can say that we love doing rescues. It is a joy for us and sometimes a neat challenge too.
Thank you for saving our bumb selves you trully are amazing

"Friendship drive, charging..." 👍
To this day, they come in clutch

Fascinating! :) Kudos to the great Fuel Rats!

That's legit. Now THAT is a community I am proud to be a part of.
he has 0% hull?
Chair in space?
When I was stranded they just sent two guys to fuel me, not much talking
Got stuck to a neutron star with hardly any fuel on me
The helpful advice "Eat Bacon," lol.

That's what I was wondering
Of course the shield would protect your ship's integrity
stay safe commander o7
Jettison some cargo for them.
And dont worry if your on XB1 I'm an xb1 fuelrat if you need us there just go onto the IRC!
Its sad that they have coast guard ships now that automatically save you
SAR only shows up on a somewhat rare occasion and they only give you 1T of fuel. The Fuel Rats are still quite busy, don't worry :)
How did you call for help? I run out of fuel really quick and I usually have to self destruct. Is there anyways to call in game?
Nope, website.
Zieman, what caused damaged to your hull integrity as Anuranium Frame Shifted away?
Awesome!
How does that ice get there anyway? Turning off certain systems?
I want to be a fuel rat
Did his frame shift jump damage your ASP?
+James Allen That's what happens when you go out into the black without at least low level shields.
+James Allen It's kinda late now what what most likely happened is the scrap left behind from the fuel limpets scraped his ship when he turned.
why is he 0% hull and no shields? also how did you get damaged at the end?
Didn’t recharge/turn on the shield module which shuts down after fuel runs out.
Omg how do I contact them . I ran out of fuel and didn't know what to do so I killed my self lol
FuelRats dot com. They have an IRC channel set up that allows you to contact them. They'll walk you through the process when you connect. Great dudes.

what does o7 mean
salute, as a way of greeting someone or saying goodbye to them, or simply as a form of respect as well.
It looks like a guy is saluting. o7
