@@rallywagon261 As much as the T10 is a meme, it's great fun when used appropriately. For example, slap a bunch of turrets on it, have a small cargo rack with some basic valuables, install good shields and point defense, and just sit in haz res and watch the pirates blow themselves up by battering themselves against your sheer chonk until your turrets lock onto them with malicious intent. iirc it can carry SLFs, so equip a fighter bay and have some fun while your ship wrecks shit. The T10 is so good at taking hits and dealing damage if you fill its optional internals with hull and module reinforcements that it can be used to AFK your way to billions of credits (and elite combat rank) in a few hours of being tabbed out while watching youtube, or mowing the lawn, or doing anything else, and it only gets better at being an immovable object with a bunch of guns strapped to it with engineering.

I think they really do. I would love for more people near each other. Unfortunately I have no idea where people gather. It would be so.cool to have a group of miners being defended by an escort while pirates attack tk get the booty or something like that. Or two player factions just ripping each other to pieces for cargo or something like that.

Thanks. I wish Frontier would put some effort into balancing to make fights like this more common. One of the big reasons this was an interesting as it was is because both Shippy and I had many of our internals filled with things other than defensive modules. If we had both fully stacked all our internal slots with defensive modules, this fight would have dragged on for ages, and ultimately been pointless (since all our ships would be able to do is fight, as all our internals would be combat stuff). Until frontier does something to address the stupidity of regular internal modules being able to be used for raw health increases (either through SCBs, reinforcement modules, etc.), interesting fights like this will only every be able to happen between people with objectively (from a combat perspective) sub-optimal builds. This is one of the big reasons I lost interest in the game quite a while ago. Cool game with a lot of cool stuff in it, most of which is undermined by catastrophically bad (yet fairly easily fixed) balance and design decisions.
An amazing fight Frenotx! The Type-10 may be slow and have low manoeuvrability, but the high shield capacity and sheer amount of hard point slots make it a mobile weapons platform and a beast of firepower, excellent job. Would have been even funnier if you took out his power plant and set him adrift and left a unit of Platinum as a Calling card but nonetheless awesome to see! Also: that was one determined and well prepped Pirate. Cudos to his dedication and hard prep work but he should have checked your modules to see if he could take you or not, an easy mistake that made all the difference.
I'm a fan of Shippy McShipface along with FlyAuburn and many, many other PvP Pirates because I enjoy the interaction and reaction of PvP Piracy. I'd be a liar if I sat here & said I've never been destroyed 'chasing the booty' because those Cutters can be quite fiesty. Amazing video, and honestly the anticipation was killing me until the very end. Great video.. o7 🖖 Edit: I really enjoyed the Type-10 when I owned one, but like the Cutter that power distributor hurts it very badly.

To be honest, I totally would have attempted to wake out if my health got into the 10%-15% range. The rebuy on my T10 is gross (armour is hella expensive). I was quite impressed with ShippyMcShipface's tenacity, though!
Top tip: if you have "target next system in route" mapped to something easily accessible (which you probably do) you can and should probably take a second before you start mining to set a route in the galaxy map just in case.
I appreciate the tip, but this video is from 3 years ago. I'm not sure that binding had even been added yet, at this point (I don't remember what patch that came in from).

just elite bounty things. Players attacking people, you get a 500cr when you shoot some inocent dude (you get slightly more, yet still insignificant ammount if you kill someone). Bring that same 500cr bounty to a station and they will fuck you up because NPCs in this game don't have a sense of things

I feel so dinky in my asp explorer, hardly knowing how to FS and still figuring out how a star system owned by one faction can have stations belonging to another faction in them, heck just today i figured out how to rank up with a faction
