  • With the new 5f Experimental Weapon Stabiliser comes a much larger variety of ship outfits or just multiple of the same weapon. I took my AX type 10 and equipped two more EAXMC's onto it and took it to a AX CZ. Enjoy! Consider subscribing?

    If I may suggest. While damage does fall off at range 2Km and beyond. If you notice you'll see most of the shots fired were not hitting the target at all. There's been an issue with the targeting reticule still operating as per the older model using the slower ammo. Switching to Trailing Sights can help with that. As they show where the shots will hit on the target as opposed to where to aim in order to hit the target at all. But they can take some getting used to lol

      @@cmdr----whirlwind---- Alternative being to watch the little 3D model of the target on your ship dashboard (to the left of the radar). If you're shooting and you don't see flashes on it, that tells you you're not hitting it at all. If you are hitting it, the flashes will tell you where on it you're hitting reasonably well. Of course that requires you to have a xeno scanner equipped even if you don't actually scan the target.

    Thank you so much for this video. I've seen all the shieldless, cold AX builds and how I _should_ do AX, but none of that works for me and I've spend millions of credits learning that. A shielded tank build? Oh yeah! Just what I need. One thing I am a little confused by is the scanning; mine seems to take much longer, does the fact that you have engineered your scanners for long range mean the Xeno scanner can work further out?

      I have an enhanced xeno-scanner equipped which can be bought at a rescue ship.

      If you really want to go with a shielded large, I'd still recommend using beams and sinks to cool like this guy is, you just can't tank thargoid fire for too long if they're stronger than a cyclops. You'll also take quite a bit of damage from swarm fire so keep that in mind.

      6 Enhanced AX multi-cannon turrets? No. I have used 4 but not against interceptors. Gimballed are the best overall.

      Gimbal or fixed do a LOT more damage over turrets. But turrets will pretty much shred scouts. I like using a mix on my Anaconda or Cutter. Anaconda is 2x size 3 shard, 2x size 2 mod shard, 2x size 3 turreted AXMC if I expect to face scouts. If just interceptors, then the MC's get stored and I add 2 more mod shards. On my Cutter is 3x mod shards, 2x size 3 AXMC turrets for scouts
