Anyone know if these could be the planetary bases we have previously seen? They look incredibly similar, shame consoles can't interact with this stuff, looks so cool
If I am not mistaken, FDev verified what many have suspected before. The Thargoid Surface sites are crash landed Titans. Likely from the first Thargoid war and the release of the bioweapon against them.
Wow!!! There is no mistaking what this is. So the question is; are the ones on planetary surfaces old ones that have died…or new ones that are being grown (I think the second one is more likely.
The crashed ones are casualties of our first war with them, you can still see traces of the Mycoid virus on them that CMDR Jameson used to wipe them out several hundred years ago.
It would actually be 100-200 hours (if you know what to do), but this is essentially the "Final Boss" so I'd say it's reasonable to be a hard to get to point. (Not saying the grind to get here is reasonable, just the "hard to get to" idea.)
ok, this proves something i have thought for years, the various "oddities" especially the thargoid heart like structures at lagrange points are more than likely how the thargoid ships are engineered and grown, especially with this having its own lagrange point type phenomenon, also shows all the structures are either these things that crashed, or that are going through a spiderlike growing and shedding phase. when thargoids first landed and the first discoveries of planetary sites and the slowly released upgrade varients i came up with a theory that each varient is just the evolution of the previous variant, Scouts crash land and seed the ground for the Barnacles (missing white ball thing on crashed scouts) they slowly grow underground and burst forth, the minerals extracted being used in later processes, each season thargoids come and go, giving them energy and taking thier refuse, like parent birds at a nest, each season they grow more clusters, some will be fed hearts from lagrange points and become the various interceptors dependant on how many hearts (also dependent on thier genetic origin point, the 2 thargoid species mentioned in lore) others will continue to grow in size and complexity, eventually emerging as a thargoid structure, with its own drones attending its needs and removing outgrown carapace. This idea also gave a reason of the thargoids nomadic nature, more as a way to visit each nursery at each feeding and birthing cycle, and in this, non of the aggression was ever an attack, it was possibly just insectlike drone activity trying to clean away refuse from and the feeding of thier larval forms.
i gotta get my T10 in there and do some mining... if thats even possible??? those glowing lights in the tunnel, what material is that i wonder? thanks for the awesome video! this is very cool
Thanks for this video. It's the only way I'll ever see what's there. By the way, don't try to dock without authorisation! Even our stations will shoot your ass out of the sky for that. LOL
Push for the boundary when it's still yellow (i.e. close to the entering Thargoid), when you attempted here the boundary was already "cooling" - watch closely when you attempt it, the boundary was black (or inert). But I agree with other posters - try with thargoid artifacts aboard to see if that helps. Good luck CMDR o7.
When the portal is open (yellow) it has a "force field" that pushes you away. I tried getting in with a Thargoid Link in hold, but it didn't work: ruclips.net/video/FI_O__nBKF4/видео.html Other pilots report none of the Thargoid items worked so far.

I never reached the Titan. After fighting off interdiction after interdiction i reached it and the second pulse killed me. Half the time he was screaming. It was epic. 😂😂😂😂😂
6 years later….you fly around Thargoid mother ships. 6 more years, you might be able to actually go in one. But that would get boring according to Arthur.
''Oh, that thing's a lot smaller than i anticipated.'' **Switches to external camera** ''Holy Mother of God, you crazy motherfucker get the hell out of there!!!''
They most likly will not, because Frontier lost a LOT of the developers and the new hires nedeed a whole year to implement basic optimization for PC. And considering FDev is now killing off the games they released as publishers, their finances also not going to let them expand the development to other platforms again.
If I'm ever asked what Elite gets right that Star Citizen gets wrong, in terms of lore, the answer is always aliens. SC aliens are very... Start Trekky if that makes sense. And yes, also not actually in the game yet but that isn't the point. The Thargoids seem genuinely enigmatic and alien in their motivations, planning and how they execute whatever plan they have. They're kept mysterious and if you don't specifically set your ship up for anti-xeno ops, you'll basically be helpless against them. It makes Thargoids interesting and threatening. Terrifying, even. What a shame such amazing concepts are wasted on a game that feels like it's been slowly dying for about 3 years now.

10:08 I think it’s feeding the mothership meta alloys
I'm still coping, seething, AND malding that the Xbox version isn't getting updates anymore.
Same, I feel ripped of as well, started playing shortly before they pulled the plug
Just thought I'd mention-I THINK WE HAVE THE EXACT SAME HUD COLORS
I tried getting close to Indra just yesterday. It blew my MkII away like it was a child's toy.
I wonder how much this was inspired by Outer Wilds.
I bet it looks pretty cool in VR .
It does: ruclips.net/video/yCzGaVfINgc/видео.html
I made the attempt with Maelstrom Raijin. Less CMDRs over there and less lag. Got in twice.
legend o7 cmdr
first thing: insanely awesome footage
second thing: i like that purple hud color
third thing: this game gives me the hebegebes so bad!
It can move, has external weapons and ships can enter and exit, so it’s basicly a thargoid fleet carrier?
Given it's size, it almost seems like the Thargoid version of a space station to me. But it could just be a fleet carrier, yeah.
@@AlexanderFrost yeah, it also qualifies as a space station, maybe even more due to it’s size, but less due to mobility.
Wow!!! There is no mistaking what this is. So the question is; are the ones on planetary surfaces old ones that have died…or new ones that are being grown (I think the second one is more likely.
I think the devs actually confirmed the ones on the ground are old defunct ships that are being torn apart by the scavengers.
The crashed ones are casualties of our first war with them, you can still see traces of the Mycoid virus on them that CMDR Jameson used to wipe them out several hundred years ago.
Absolute madlad o7
Really Cool!
This game would be so good, if I didn't have to invest 1k hours of my life to get to this point.
It would actually be 100-200 hours (if you know what to do), but this is essentially the "Final Boss" so I'd say it's reasonable to be a hard to get to point.
(Not saying the grind to get here is reasonable, just the "hard to get to" idea.)
Tough little ship!
ok, this proves something i have thought for years, the various "oddities" especially the thargoid heart like structures at lagrange points are more than likely how the thargoid ships are engineered and grown, especially with this having its own lagrange point type phenomenon, also shows all the structures are either these things that crashed, or that are going through a spiderlike growing and shedding phase.
when thargoids first landed and the first discoveries of planetary sites and the slowly released upgrade varients i came up with a theory that each varient is just the evolution of the previous variant, Scouts crash land and seed the ground for the Barnacles (missing white ball thing on crashed scouts) they slowly grow underground and burst forth, the minerals extracted being used in later processes, each season thargoids come and go, giving them energy and taking thier refuse, like parent birds at a nest, each season they grow more clusters, some will be fed hearts from lagrange points and become the various interceptors dependant on how many hearts (also dependent on thier genetic origin point, the 2 thargoid species mentioned in lore) others will continue to grow in size and complexity, eventually emerging as a thargoid structure, with its own drones attending its needs and removing outgrown carapace.
No offence, but man, I haven't read a tinfoil-hat theory like this since the Great Canonn threads. )
i gotta get my T10 in there and do some mining... if thats even possible??? those glowing lights in the tunnel, what material is that i wonder? thanks for the awesome video! this is very cool
Bro imagine those asteroids are thick with the richest of ores!
Thanks for this video. It's the only way I'll ever see what's there. By the way, don't try to dock without authorisation! Even our stations will shoot your ass out of the sky for that. LOL
Badass, shame all this content is literal 4 years too late.
you are legend o7
Push for the boundary when it's still yellow (i.e. close to the entering Thargoid), when you attempted here the boundary was already "cooling" - watch closely when you attempt it, the boundary was black (or inert). But I agree with other posters - try with thargoid artifacts aboard to see if that helps. Good luck CMDR o7.
When the portal is open (yellow) it has a "force field" that pushes you away. I tried getting in with a Thargoid Link in hold, but it didn't work: ruclips.net/video/FI_O__nBKF4/видео.html
Other pilots report none of the Thargoid items worked so far.
you mad lad o7
Just me or does everyone want them to let us in the horsehead nebula
8:14 Docking permission DENIED!
If it bleeds we can kill it....
My friend begged me to come back and help him since hes a new player. He even got me to transfer my account to PC, drastically improving my gaming experience. After a few weeks of catching up on everything elite i learned about this. I thrn say "Wanna do something stupid today?" He obliged me. "I then said ill most likely die and its terrifying. He joins my ship and we set out. Hes never seen a Thargoid let alone know what they are. He didnt even know they were a part of the game. So i fount the nearest titan, flew my corvette and went in. I never reached the Titan. After fighting off interdiction after interdiction i reached it and the second pulse killed me. Half the time he was screaming. It was epic. 😂😂😂😂😂
Heeey, noice! 🙂
reminds me the first Star Trek motion picture. o7
Sweet HUD colors! What’s your setup?
Red: 0.75, 0, 2
Green: 0, 2, 0
Blue: 0, 0, 2
6 years later….you fly around Thargoid mother ships. 6 more years, you might be able to actually go in one. But that would get boring according to Arthur.
Ok guys... Let the Frontiers cook.
O7 my friend
the mothership, mi god
So instead of one mother ship they brought 3 this time
one can only imagine how bad it must smell in there
Well, there was an attempt.
''Oh, that thing's a lot smaller than i anticipated.''
**Switches to external camera**
''Holy Mother of God, you crazy motherfucker get the hell out of there!!!''
How much Capacitor does the Pulse Neutralizer use? :D need to know for my ship build ^^
Not sure. It says "active power draw" is 0.33MW. My build has 14.7MJ max and 1.1MW recharge in SYS.
*F* For the fallen CMDR o7
Very epic, would be great if they started to work on the xbox version again so that i can enjoy that too xd
They most likly will not, because Frontier lost a LOT of the developers and the new hires nedeed a whole year to implement basic optimization for PC. And considering FDev is now killing off the games they released as publishers, their finances also not going to let them expand the development to other platforms again.
I dont even know what im watching.
What a shame such amazing concepts are wasted on a game that feels like it's been slowly dying for about 3 years now.
o7 CMDR!
wow, so big
WHAT THE FU-
what kind of mats to get the pulse neutralizer
Sorry, no idea. I got mine from the Community Goal.
1 Grelic (unclassified relic)
5 Massive wave (get thrown by the massive wave at the center)
5 Propursion elements (Thargoid craft drop)
5 Sensor fragment (droped by destroyer Tharg sensor or link)
Annnnd there it is CMDRs.
So tell me.... how's it feel walking around with two Type-10s hanging between your legs?
What is a thargoid? Are the thargoids the ships or do the ships have pilots?
