  • Ear wax removal by curettage and irrigation is done to remove a large amount of yellow ear wax to improve a patient's hearing. Removing ear wax was accomplished with the combination of the two techniques to get the most thorough removal possible with the least injury to the patient. That is why the ear cleaning was not done to the point of completely clearing the cerumen off of the eardrum. Ear syringing was offered to the patient, but he chose to pass on starting this procedure once his hearing was restored to its normal level.

Good thing I am not a doctor! I would have picked at that until it was clean! Sometimes less is more, esp when working around an ear drum. Glad he can hear again. I might feel a little unsatisfied, but that's my neurosis, lol.

+Auburn Medical Group I liked the way you alternated back and forth! Irrigation isn't as much fun to watch, but it seemed to really loosen up a lot more of the wax so you could curette it out. So we got to see a lot of good stuff and you chose to do what's best for your patient. I haven't stopped by in a while, so permit me to compliment you on your tech setup. The lighted curette (with magnifier?), the phone attachment, and your reliable cameraman made this a true pleasure to watch. Thanks!

I absolutely respect this doctor. He serves the elderly fir starters , His level of care is extraordinary ~ Not too many doctors like treating old people, as we age, our bodies change in ways we can NOT control. People need to understand this fact. This doctor goes out of his way to relieve their discomforts and pain, I commend and revere this man, Thank you SIR,you are such a gift and special blessing to the medical community, Patients are very fortunate to have him. He is rare breed , kind, caring, gentle, empathetic and compassionate about his work, He is doing Gods work, When I worked in Health Care our Profs use to remind us that we were doing Gods work, as front line Caregiver for developmentally x physically x psychiatrically disabled persons was NOT an easy job,,or calling, ~ Thank You doctor for treating all your patient s with such decency , and quality old school care,

Loved the "Dr. Pimple Popper of ear wax" comment! :) Maybe you should do a collab with her (or Enilsa, Josefa, etc). I think a lot of popping enthusiasts would appreciate the content too. For me, the appeal of watching these vids is seeing something nasty removed from the patients' bodies, which is super relaxing. Feels like *something* good is happening in the world, lol.

He has the most beautiful bedside manners and the cutest patients, but I think he could be more agressive with the curattage. Comparing him with the other doctors they seem more confident with the usage of the ear wax cleaning tools. If I was a patient of his I would not feel like my ears were completly cleaned. He "always" leaves some good portion of wax on his patient's ears.
