- This ear wax ear irrigation was very easy, with only requiring less than one full reservoir of the waterpik for each ear. Ear cleaning can often require 2- 3 times as much ear lavage volume for a proper ear wax removal. This ear flushing procedure is safe and comfortable for the patient. This case was unique in that it included trimming the ear hairs, otherwise called "MANSCAPING."

"Man-scaping". I love it! After a long day, this was so entertaining, I seriously could not stop laughing. Mostly just the fact that Dr. Mark went in search of scissors (Dr. Gawayane's stash 😂). He won't mind, it was for a good cause!

Woot-Woot! I actually did a lil dance, cheer, and then laughed at my own goofiness at how hilarious I found it when I saw you go after those ear hairs!! Oh, and getting the wax out was great too ;-). Rick was a great sport with a nice sense of humor too. My fave part was when the camera secretly panned to give us a lil peek at Dr. V's ear hairs...hahaha!

Man, talk about full service. Hair trimming and ear cleaning. I am a firm believer in manscaping. Have been for years. I was going to ask if you have hairy ears, Dr. Mark, but your camera person gave us a quick shot of your ear. It looks nice and smooth. Lol I wish all the cleanings were that easy!

Glad to see some "manscaping". You cleaned one guy's ears and the hair in his outer ear was over an inch long and kept impeding the wax from escaping the ear!

I'm not sure why I find this so satisfying, however I do and maybe it's due to the fact that my left ear has a hair or maybe two in it and needs a flushing it's self. So knowing I can't get it done right now, it makes for a great time watching others get their hearing back. Haha

Doc, would it help you to get a nose/ear trimmer? Might require less precision handwork than a pair of scissors.
That may end up being cost-effective. Maybe some company wants to send one in for us to demonstrate.

My sister has bought my 93 yo dad two different ear hair trimmers, but neither worked very well. I offered to get some wax and remove the hair from his ears as I showed him on RUclips. Unfortunately, he turned down my offer.

It is peroxide on the outside of the eardrum.

We use the Bionix attachment for the Waterpik.

Then you need to get an ear hair clipper set and keep in your office so when men come in like this you can do it nicely and neatly with a correct trim tool not a little pair of scissors.
