Clean faster and for cheaper using these magic cleaning hacks! We are saving money by making our own magic eraser sponges for pennies and in less than a minute! You only need 4 simple ingredients: borax, baking soda, water, and a melamine sponge (linked below). They are so easy and affordable! Then we are using these DIY sponges to quick clean around the house. They are perfect indoor and for out! FYI the melamine sponges work on their own. No need for the added cleaners. I also love to cut mine down. Former house cleaner here, when they 1st came out (many years ago), I loved them so much I wrote the company and they sent me some coupons, then I found the off brand and they work just as good. They are the best at removing soap scum from sinks, showers & shower doors. The uses of these little things are endless. I use them in my stainless sink, and have no problems (maybe because it older) 😃
Those magic erasers, even the dupes, are fantastic for cleaning white sneakers.

I own a cleaning business, and I have tried these melamine knock-offs, both in the big bulk and DT brand. They were recommended to me by a client. There was no comparison between these and the magic eraser. My client loves the knock-offs, but I clean harder as a cleaning business. For this, I would not recommend it. For simple everyday cleaning in sure they work. The magic eraser is not recommended for leather. It ruins it.
I thought wiping a mirror with shaving cream kept fog off.

For fog on your mirrors they have defogger for glasses works pretty ok

I have a quartz composite sink. My husband has coffee each morning, and when he pours excess coffee down the sink, it leaves a brown residue around the drain. I use a piece of magic eraser to get the coffee residue from around the drain. It works like "magic."

My personal favorite for cleaning glass and making sure that it doesn't fog up after a shower is using some sort of shaving cream after it foams up and just wiping it off with a wet washcloth

❤ Not that many people can test this, but I work in a hospital lab (and teach medical laboratory science), and these work great on the analyzers to take off the yellow dinge. Restores them to (almost) white again!

Shannon, love magic erasers. I bought about 20 of them from Ali Express about 5 yrs ago, at a very low price point. They worked wonderful. Wondering if I can clean the inside of my oven with them. Another fab tutorial, by the one and only. Blessings!

❤❤Shannon, thanks for the tips, I use the magic eraser in my tub for the soap scum and for the grout on the walls, it works fantastic. For the mirrors, I see a few people put shaving cream, I've heard of that, but have never tried it. I also have heard of using rain x, that you use for your car windshield, I haven't tried that either, LOL

Off topic. You showed a brief shot of a small green table when talking about painted finishes and Magic Erasers. I have the same table, but it is a different color and I don't like it. I think the one you have would match my bedroom. Do you have any clue what color that is?
I thrifted this table and someone had painted it back so I repainted it the green to match the living room. It’s called Cardamom green by Dwil. Hope that helps!
