Ann’s voice is that clear, smooth and beautiful in person. And Nancy’s guitar work is second to none. Shook Hands with Ann at an after party, and was all rubber-legged. Ann Wilson was an incomparable beauty and certainly one of most remarkable rock singers. There hasn’t been a voice like this years. I could sit and stare at Ann for hours… so gorgeous and so demure.
@douseyfachem: While Ms. Ronstadt became a great singer over the years, (like James Taylor, she was not well-received in the early days by record producers) I believe Ann Wilson is in a class by herself; to be able to "switch gears from something as heavy as "Barracuda" to the sweetness of "Dog & Butterfy," is proof-positive of both her dexterity and overall capability. Did you know she fronted a Led Zeppelin tribute band in her younger days, to near perfection? A remarkable feat at that time, with Robert Plan at the peak of his sonic power.
Everything about this.....from the finger picking prowess of Nancy, the subtlety of the drum beat coming in congruently to follow on the exclamatory intro harmonic, to Ann's sweet vocals and the unobtrusive keyboard chord support - the musicianship is extraordinary.
Absolutely gorgeous acoustic guitar playing from the lovely and talented Nancy, what an amazing player and the singing voice of Ann is just beautiful. Nothing but pure love for Heart
I was lucky enough to see Heart in concert in Germany in the 80's. They were unbelievable. Ann and Nancy put on a fantastic show. It was the Bad Animals you. The whole band was great. They rocked.
I have been in love with Nancy for the last 30+ years! Maybe one day she’ll let me play rhythm guitar for her! What a dream that would be! So talented! 🙏🎸
We had the pleasure of listening and dancing to the incredible music of Ann and Nancy Wilson and their band in the late 60's and early 70's at a cool little night club in South Surrey BC, known as 'The Bird Cage'. They were amazing then and even more amazing now! Thanks for the incredible music over all these years ladies!! ❤
I saw them more than once in concert (1976-1980) and each time I was blown away by their musicality and showmanship. One of my favorite groups of all time.
This song gives me the shivers and I don't know why...I think it brings me back to my childhood and growing up in the 70s, was such a carefree decade, being a kid then.
I recall seeing them at a free concert at Seward Park in Seattle before anybody really knew who they were. What a HUGE piece of musical history they've become!
People much younger than me get tired of hearing us say that "they don't write songs like that anymore." I would say, listen to this song. The chord changes, the incredible vocal harmonies, the overall complexity of it all. It doesn't have to be your favorite song to appreciate how difficult it must be to put an arrangement like this together.
Thank you! Ann and Nancy Wilson, for sharing your music with the world!!! I have every single album that you put out! You beautiful ladies, have inspired me throughout my life!!!,❤️🙏❤️🎶🌍✌️💯👍🥲🌹🌹

So I was a big music fan since I was a kid. And this was my era. Yet it never occured to me until just now how much this sounds like the Carpenters. And that is kind of trippy. Heart rocks!
Shivers me timbers. The voice, the guitar. Ann has a voice any man would listen to on autoplay. Nancy is so sweet on guitar. I am so blessed to hear these sisters. They love to play together.
In the 70s it was a blokes' game women never got a look in and were treated as window dressing in bands. Typically a girl in tight clothes as the singer got a band more attention . In the case of heart they had solid musicianship AND the looks but that didn't meet the mysogynistic requirements of the day so it took a long time for them to come to the fore. They were never as big as some of the bloke bands but they have outlived many of them. If you think of how women were depicted in the songs of the 70s it will give you a measure of what the band Heart was up against . They really were up against it but they have prevailed , thankfully. Nowadays you are getting well known male guitarists featuring female bass players just to show how cool they are !! Jeff Beck and Steve Vai take note.
Nancy Wilson's guitar work doesn't get the attention it deserves. An iconic and recognizable style and sound.

Ann's voice is legendary. And better live
Best female rock voice of all time!!
Ummmm, Stevie Nicks.

Stevie Knicks is great bur Ann Wilson is legendary....
Ann Wilson was an incomparable beauty and certainly one of most remarkable rock singers. There hasn’t been a voice like this years. I could sit and stare at Ann for hours… so gorgeous and so demure.
Ann is up there with Linda Ronstad
All that, and it was live too.
Wow Ann Wilson’s voice is incredible and the harmonies oh my..great song.
I'M IN HEAVEN WHEN NANCY & ANN WILSON SING TOGETHER.
This is such a beautiful piece of music! Nancy's playing is stunning, and of course, Ann's voice is pure magic!
Absolutely gorgeous acoustic guitar playing from the lovely and talented Nancy, what an amazing player and the singing voice of Ann is just beautiful. Nothing but pure love for Heart
Unbelievable performance by them both. Ann is the best vocalist ever in my opinion
Two of the best musicians, male or female, to ever grace the stage...
These two are legends. When they are gone, there is no replacing them. But such great memories they will leave behind.
Its a beautiful recording from one of the best rock bands in my lifetime. I saw them twice in concert. They were excellent both times.
Ann Wilson is the VOICE of an era gone by... She is absolutely AWSOME...
Such talent...years of bringing joy to many. Gifted musicians.
Just awesome. Incredible vocal harmonies from the sisters and the band.
Classic line up years.
Still one of my favorite Heart songs. 😁💗💙💗💙💗💙💗💙💗💙💗
This song gives me the shivers and I don't know why...I think it brings me back to my childhood and growing up in the 70s, was such a carefree decade, being a kid then.
Tar Mach totally agree
Tar Mach Much agree...I was on ship, at this time...And really throws alot of
memories..A true, classic song..
Lucky you, I was born in '96 😒
Sydney O'Bier Yes, but you can still hear
some great replays !
Tar Mach being a kid is a carefree time for alot of kids. but, the music helped those who didn't have a carefree childhood.
one of my favorite songs of all time....so much love for the sisters
I love how they harmonize together, especially from 2:05 on. They sound amazing!
lol no
Her voice is so clear and distinct.
I recall seeing them at a free concert at Seward Park in Seattle before anybody really knew who they were. What a HUGE piece of musical history they've become!
Staple Rock n Roll. Most beautifully mastered.
Getting into such a beautiful song, and its over!
The song just creeps into your head and won't let go for like three days. Ann is amazing.
2024 the glorious talented sisters have hardly aged at all when music was music❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤
People much younger than me get tired of hearing us say that "they don't write songs like that anymore." I would say, listen to this song. The chord changes, the incredible vocal harmonies, the overall complexity of it all. It doesn't have to be your favorite song to appreciate how difficult it must be to put an arrangement like this together.
Just wish it was a few minutes longer 😀
Agreed, I was just thinking the same thing as I watched this.
Thank you! Ann and Nancy Wilson, for sharing your music with the world!!! I have every single album that you put out! You beautiful ladies, have inspired me throughout my life!!!,❤️🙏❤️🎶🌍✌️💯👍🥲🌹🌹
My favourite Band in my Favourite Era. Heart was Awesome. I sent Nancy numerous letters, but she never responded. Still Mad about her though.
The Wilson sisters were SO talented! Ann's singing is equal to Karen Carpenter's, in my opinion. Nancy's guitar work was absolutely exquisite, as was her singing as well.
i believe you mean "ARE"
Don't underestimate Karen's talent as well
@@nobracobra Yes I do.
Karen, Nancy, and Linda Ronstadt…hard to put one above the others, but they are definitely the best!
are,.. still talented... .... they still rock.
This song sooths my soul.
Ann's voice is like heaven to my ears
Their harmonies are hauntingly beautiful.
Been Listening to ❤ since I was 14 in 1974 😊
WOW.......That takes me back to about 1977......and driving around without a care in the world. What a fantastic Album this is....forgotten how good it was .......
The perfect Spring song. Love Heart since 1976
There is no Question about it Ann Wilson is by far the Greatest female vocalist I am 74 and still listening to heart by far the best!
My sister and my one of our favorite bands. I listened to there albums everyday. It's very emotional for me.
She passed February 5, 2016. She had blond hair and played vio8a and guitar.
We love you guys. Blessings 😇🙏🥰🙌👏✌🙌😎💛❤🖤🤍💚💙💜👋
Hello Shelley, How are you doing?
So I was a big music fan since I was a kid. And this was my era. Yet it never occured to me until just now how much this sounds like the Carpenters. And that is kind of trippy. Heart rocks!
Back when their debut album came out, some critics said it was like "the Carpenters meet Black Sabbath" 😅
Beautiful music.
I always thought of Ann as a dreamboat BTW.
Anne Heart simply had one of the greatest voices ever!
Why is Anne Heart?
This will be played at my funeral after a life well lived! Love these girls and their imagery.
makes me tear up .. I was in High School when Heart hit the radio with great songs .. what a voice Ann --- Nancy was good at playing and singing also
So smooth. Over 40 years and she still sounds amazing.
Yea' that is quite Amazing
That little intro guitar instrumental is magical.
This is hands down one of the most beautiful songs ever written (or sung!). I wish it was about 5 minutes longer though...
The album has 3 versions on it... including a 3:52 reprise. But this little 2 minute nugget is already perfect, right?!
I loved this song from the moment I heard it on the radio. I am now married to a woman named Annie and it is one of our favorite songs. Rock on Heart!
I bet she fills up your senses....
Nancy Wilson - a wonderfully gifted guitar player. I love the intro so much!
+Beth Heinecamp My wife looks like Nancy, so I guess she is my favorite.
Shivers me timbers. The voice, the guitar. Ann has a voice any man would listen to on autoplay. Nancy is so sweet on guitar. I am so blessed to hear these sisters. They love to play together.
a quite underrated guitarist indeed! 👍
The intro sounds like 'Silver Wheels' on Bebe le Strange.
Such a beautiful song !!! My favorite Heart song. Well done Ann and Nancy Wilson.
I had this album and nearly wore out my cassette player with it.
It is still one of my all time FAVORITE short songs!
